(Clearwisdom.net) On September 20, 2009, the annual Skive Lobet was held in Slive, which is in Jutland in northwest Denmark. Several thousand people took part in the many different programs that ran from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. With permission from the organizer, Denmark Falun Gong practitioners came to introduce people to Falun Gong.

The sun shone as practitioners demonstrated the five exercises to music. A banner which read, "Falun Dafa Is Good," was particularly noticeable, attracting many passersby who came to watch and get information.

A local woman who previously practiced yoga asked practitioners for detailed information about Falun Gong. A practitioner told her, "Falun Gong practitioners believe in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and strive to be good people. Doing the five sets of exercises is beneficial to both body and mind, and Falun Gong can uplift people's spirits and sense of morality." After learning the facts, the lady signed the petition condemning the persecution of Falun Gong and obtained contact information so she could learn the practice.

When a practitioner went to hand one gentleman a brochure, the man said he had already been given one the day before. He said it all seemed familiar to him. The practitioner told him, "We have come here to introduce Falun Gong to more people and tell them the facts about the persecution taking place in China. We are also collecting signatures to oppose the persecution." Knowing that the petition would be sent to the government of Denmark, the gentleman was quick to sign his name.

"Welcome, Falun Gong. I work on 'green' foods and am interested in all aspects of good health," another lady said. In Slive, it was the first time that many people had heard about Falun Gong.

The Skive Lobet is sponsored by a local sports club. This year's Skive Lobet was the 36th since 1973. Local companies, organizations, and residents take part, including young couples pushing strollers, seniors, and even three-year-old kids who walked the entire course with their parents. It is the most popular activity in the city and the third largest sports movement in Jutland. The presence of Falun Gong practitioners brought the city good wishes.
