Due to her persistence in her practice of Falun Gong, the calligrapher has been been arrested and detained nine times during last ten years. She is currently paralyzed in the detention center.

Mr. Zhou Xiangyang has been jailed since August 9, 2004 and has been on a hunger strike for over 300 days to protest the persecution.

This torture used to be called "dismembering the limbs with five horses," and in ancient times was called "splitting by cart."

After six months in the 2nd Detention Center in Hegang City, Ms.Fei Jurong suffered a meantal collapse and was released to her family on May 1, 2009.Ms. Fei had been forced to sit on a steel chair for many days without sleep and was beaten by criminal inmates. Her associate Ms. Da Yarong, arrested at the same time, was recently released from detention in critical condition.

Court authorities engaged in various activities to interfere with defense attorneys' ability to defend their client including delayed entry, illegal searches and seizures, and closing a public trial without notice.

Mr. Wang Xueshi was released from prison on April 24, 2009, but since then police have broken into his home and threatened him. He can only leave home with permission from the police, who have also refused to return his identification card making doing business in Chinese society difficult.

Jun. 20

Information is now available on Mr. Wang Hongrong, a Falun Gong practitioner from Hefei City, Anhui Province, who was illegally sentenced to jail for eight years in 2005 by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He was tortured by prison guards in Suzhou Prison and became paralyzed. The police released him when he was in critical condition. Two months later, on June 22, 2007, he passed away at home. Mr. Pan Yujan is now in very poor condition after torture and force-feeding. The prison and court will not allow him visitors nor inform his familiy of his condition.
