1. [Da County, Sichuan Province] Reports of Three Arrested Practitioners
Da County Court officials sentenced Mr. Luo Changming to four years in prison. He was transferred from the county's Xuanhan Detention Center to Deyang Prison in Sichuan Province on January 15, 2009, though he was extremely weak.
Personnel from the Da County Police Station in Dazhou City arrested Mr. Zheng Jiawen on August 8, 2008 and have held him in the Xuanhan Detention Center since the arrest. His case has been submitted to the city's Procuratorate Office.
Ms. Liu Mingzhen was released on bail for hospitalization on December 26, 2008 because of high blood pressure.
2. [Chongqing] Three Practitioners Put into a Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Zhang Zhifen, Ms. Nan and Ms. Liu were arrested and their homes ransacked on January 11, 2009. Ms. Zhang was sentenced to one year and three months of forced labor, and the other two were sentenced to one year.

3. [Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Xu Ruilian, Her Husband and Their Three-Year-Old Grandson Arrested
Personnel from the Xinhui District Beimen Police Station arrested 60-year-old Ms. Xu Ruilian, 70-year-old Mr. Qu Mao and their 3-year-old grandson from Jiangmen City on September 2, 2008. The arrest occurred as they were distributing Falun Gong flyers in the district. They were put into the Beimen Detention Center.
The two older people were forced to work over ten hours daily. Visits from their family were denied. Their 3-year-old grandson was held in an orphan center for a week and then sent home. Ms. Xu was tortured so severely that it led to a brain contusion and she was hospitalized.

Personnel from the Xiamen City Railway Police Station arrested Ms. Liu Dongmei and put her in the city's No. 1 Detention Center on the evening of January 7, 2009. Ms. Liu was a lecturer at the Dalian City Finance University. She was dismissed from her job because she practiced Falun Gong.
The police also arrested Mr. Ma Tianjiang in Tai'an County, Liaoning Province, on the evening of January 7, 2009.

5. [Beijing] Ms. Zhu Quandi Has Ascites and Is on Medical Bail
Ms. Zhu Quandi is a retired employee from the Aviation Materials Research Center in Wenquan Township, Haidian District, Beijing. Personnel from the township police station arrested her and took her to the Beijing Women's Prison for a two-year term on February 19, 2008. After six months of detention, the abuse and persecution to which she was subjected caused her to develop ascites. She has been released on bail for hospitalization.

6. [Yibin City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Ren Zhaoxia Arrested
Police arrested Ms. Ren Zhaoxia from Nanxi County, Yibin City on the afternoon of January 23, 2009. Her whereabouts are unknown.

9. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Gao Zhigang and His Wife Ms. Li Yinhua Put into Forced Labor Camps
Mr. Gao Zhigang and Ms. Li Yinhua, a retired couple, took care of their grandson in Beijing. Personnel from the Xisanqi Police Station in the Haidian District arrested them before the Olympic Games because they found Falun Gong books in their home. Ms. Li was taken to Huhehaote Forced Labor Camp in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region for a two-and-a-half year term. Mr. Gao is held in a forced labor camp in Beijing for a two-year term.
10. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Meiying Put into a Forced Labor Camp
Police ransacked Ms. Zhang Meiying's home in Fengyidian Village, Fengyi Town, Longkou City and put her into a forced labor camp on October 25, 2008.
11. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Several Practitioners To Be Incarcerated in a Forced Labor Camp
Police arrested Ms. Du Shujuan, Ms. Zhou Jinghua, Ms. Li Zonglan, Ms. Wang Ruiyu and Ms. Huang Xiaoling on October 23, 2008. Ms. Li was released that day, but the others were taken to the Muping District Detention Center and will soon be moved to a forced labor camp.
12. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Lai Borui and Mr. Zhang Chunhe Arrested
Mr. Lai Borui, 29, was arrested and put into the Zengcheng Detention Center on May 8, 2008. Police put him on trial on December 19, 2008. Prior to the trial, five officers from the Zengcheng 610 Office and the Shitan Police Station suddenly broke into Mr. Lai's home, forcibly confined his wife Ms. Liu Yuhong, who was eight months pregnant, at home, and prevented her from attending the trial.
Mr. Lai has been put into the Sihui Prison in Guangdong Province.

13. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Ma Tianjiang Put into the Tai'an Detention Center on January 22, 2009
14. [Beijing] Persecution of Mr. Zhao Jiandong and His Wife Ms. Cui Xinhong
Mr. Zhao Jiandong, an employee of the Pinggu District Power Supply Bureau, and his wife Ms. Cui Xinhong, an employee from the Pinggu District Customs house, were arrested at their home on October 13, 2007. The district court officials sentenced Mr. Zhao to seven and a half years in prison and Ms. Cui to seven years on November 23, 2008. They appealed, but the court official turned down their appeal in January 2009.
15. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Guo Aiye and Mr. Zhang Huanxin Held in the Wu'an Detention Center
Police arrested Ms. Guo Aiye and Mr. Zhang Huanxin, two employees of the Guo'erzhuang Coal Mine in the Handan City Mine Bureau, on the evening of January 23, 2009. They were arrested while they were distributing Falun Gong flyers.
16. [Hunan Province] Ms. Jin Youzhen Arrested in Guangzhou City
Personnel from the Lilian Police Station in Cangtou Village arrested Ms. Jin Youzhen at 9:00 p.m. on January 20, 2009. They put her in the district's Hongshan Detention Center, but when her family went to see her, officials there told them that Ms. Jin was not being held at that center.
