1. The Head of Suining County 610 Office Dies from Lung Cancer

Yang Shuguang, head of the Suining County 610 Office in Jiangsu Province, had persecuted Falun Gong practitioners for a long time. He died from lung cancer in the middle of October, 2009.

2. Former Deputy Chief of Diaobingshan Police Department Dies from Leukemia

Guo Furen, 60s, was the former deputy chief and vice secretary of the Politics and Judiciary Committee of Diaobingshan Police Department in Liaoning Province.

Since the persecution of Falun Gong started on July 20, 1999, Guo enthusiastically carried out the Communist Party's persecution policy against Falun Gong. Especially from 1999 to 2001, he dispatched the police force multiple times to arrest practitioners who went to Beijing to appeal against the persecution, and he gave instructions to law enforcement departments and units to sentence practitioners, send them to forced labor camps, detain them at brainwashing centers for prolonged time and extort money from them. From the information collected so far, over fifty practitioners' cases were directly handled by Guo.

Guo died of Leukemia on September 12, 2009.

3. Police from Nancha District, Yichun City Receive Retribution

Yang Guanghui was the deputy head of the detention center of the Nancha District Police Department, Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province. In 2002, he disallowed the detained practitioner to use bathrooms, and put heavy shackles on them. Yang received retribution and died the same year.

Zhan Hongyu was a policeman from Lianhe Police Station of the Nancha District Police Department. He had actively arrested practitioners since 1999. When practitioners clarified the truth of Falun Gong to him, and even his mother told him not to do the wrong deeds to persecute practitioners, Zhan refused to listen. In 2009, Zhan died from uremia and liver cirrhosis.
