(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 21 cities or counties in 11 provinces. In this report, 4 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 50 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Shuangliu County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Dong Shao Held at Detention Center
Ms. Dong Shao, an elderly practitioner from Huayang Town, Shuangliu County who was arrested on September 20, 2009, is being detained at the Shuangliu County Detention Center by the Wan'an Police Station. Ms. Dong is on a hunger strike to protest the persecution.

2. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
On the morning of September 15, 2009, the Zhengzhou City 610 Office, the Zhengzhou City CCP Political Security Committee and the local police stations launched a large scale arrest of practitioners. Below are some of the arrested practitioners:
Ms. Wang Huaiqing, who was arrested by officers from the Erqi Branch, is held at the Erqi District Detention Center.
Ms. Yan Jie, who was arrested by officers from the Jinshui Branch, is held at the Jinshui District Detention Center.
Ms. Xu Rong and Mr. Yang Hongren, who were arrested by officers from the Guancheng Branch, are held at the Zhengzhou City Detention Center in Guancheng District.
3. [Shaoyang City, Hunan Province] Mr. He Yunfeng and Five Others Arrested
Between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on September 20, 2009, Mr. He Yunfeng, Ms. Liao Meihua, Ms. Fu Guilan, Mr. Zhao Xinhua, Ms. Chen Biying and Ms. Liu Zhihong were arrested by officers from the Public Security Department. Mr. Wang Xinhua and Ms. Xia Shuyun's homes were searched and Falun Gong related materials were confiscated. Many other practitioners were harassed.
4. [Lingqiu County, Shanxi Province] Ms. Liu Ping Arrested
Ms. Liu Ping was reported while she was distributing truth clarifying materials about Falun Gong. At approximately 2:30 p.m. on September 25, 2009, she was arrested at home by the county Domestic Security Division. She is being held at the Lingqiu County Detention Center.

5. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Xiao Hailong Arrested
At approximately 9:00 a.m. on September 23, 2009, seven to eight officers from the Donglai Police Station in Daowai District, Harbin City, broke into Mr. Xiao Hailong's home and arrested him. The officers also searched his home. Around noon, Mr. Xiao was taken to the Harbin City No. 2 Detention Center.
6. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Ms. Tian Baomei Arrested
On September 8, 2009, Ms. Tian Baomei from Longshanguanzhuang Village, Huangshan Town, Yishui County, was taken by Yang Bo and other officers from the Huangshan Town Police Station while she was having a meal at home. She is being held at the Yishui County Detention Center.

7. [Pujiang County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wang Qiuru Arrested and Home Searched
At approximately 2:00 p.m. on September 16, 2009, the police arrested Ms. Wang Qiuru and confiscated her laptop computer and printer.
8. [Leshan City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zhang Shaojin Arrested and Taken to Brainwashing Center
On September 16, 2009, Mr. Zhang Shaojin, 65, from Suji Town, Leshan City, was arrested by the Suji Town Police Station and taken to the Leshan Brainwashing Center.
9. [Boye County, Hebei Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested
At approximately 8:00 p.m. on September 23, 2009, officers from the Boye County Public Security Department arrested Ms. Xiaoning, Ms. Fuxian and Ms. Shi Huimin. Four other practitioners were arrested in Anguo County. They are: Mr. Lu Jianhui, Ms. Yuran, Ms. Xiaochao and Ms. Tonghui.
10. [Tianjin] Mr. Zhao Jinshan and Ms. Wang Yuxia Arrested
In the afternoon on September 20, 2009, Mr. Zhao Jinshan and Ms. Wang Yuxia, both from Bangjun Town, Ji County, Tianjin City, were arrested by the Bangjun Town Police Station.
11. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Huang Xiaojie Persecuted
Eight years ago, officer Ao Honghai from the Zhizhushan Township Police Station in Fuxin City shot and injured Mr. Huang Xiaojie, who was subsequently sentenced to an eight-year term. On September 24, 2009, the day Mr. Huang was scheduled to be released from the Dalian Prison, officers from the Fumeng County 610 Office, Ao Honghai, and other officers from the Zhizhushan Township Police Station went to the prison and tried to take away Mr. Huang for further persecution.

Ms. Sun Hongyu, who was arrested one month ago, was taken to the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City.

16. [Li County, Hebei Province] Sixteen Practitioners Arrested
At approximately 7:00 p.m. on September 23, 2009, the Li County Public Security Department and the local police stations launched a large scale of arrest of practitioners. They arrested sixteen practitioners and searched their homes. Arrested practitioners include: Mr. Zhao Xiaochang, Mr. Liu Min, Mr. Zhu Junqiang, Ms. Zhao Limei, Ms. Zhang Xia, Ms. Gu Xiangrui, Ms. Zhu Lihua, Ms. Fang Wei, Ms. Tian Junfang, Ms. Yan Xiaoge, Ms. Zhao Yanmei and Ms. Rong Zhen. One practitioner managed to escape the police arrest.

17. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Mei Ting Arrested
Ms. Mei Ting from Hefei City was arrested at home around September 21, 2009, and is held at the brainwashing center located in the hostel at Anhui University. Ms. Mei is a former employee of the Jianghuai Meters Factory in Hefei City. She was persecuted by the CCP committee, the Shushan District 610 Office, and the security office in her former work place. She was sentenced to a forced labor camp twice and fired from work. She was forced to divorce her husband and then left home.
In addition, Mr. Li Gangfeng and Ms. Tao Puzhu, who were recently arrested, were said to be held at the same brainwashing center.
18. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Liang Shaolin Arrested
In the morning on September 24, 2009, local police were sent to Ms. Liang Shaolin's home in an attempt to arrest her. Ms. Liang refused to open the door. In the afternoon, more than a dozen officers from the local 610 Office and the public security department used an electric saw to cut open the door. They arrested Ms. Liang and ransacked her home. They confiscated her bank deposit book, cash, computer, printer and the cell phones belonging to Ms. Liang's sister and mother.
19. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Haifeng Arrested by Chengqu Police Station at Approximately 7:30 p.m. on September 25, 2009
20. [Beijing] Ms. Ban Qirong Missing for Two Months
Ms. Ban Qirong, a 51-year-old retiree of the Beijing Public Transportation System, has been persecuted numerous times since July 1999. Ms. Ban went missing on the morning of September 16, 2009. It is very likely that she was arrested and sent to a forced labor camp.
21. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Feng Fengqin Arrested
In the morning on September 18, 2009, Ms. Feng Fengqin, who lives in the teachers' dorm of Shijiazhuang City No. 3 Middle School, was taken to the provincial brainwashing center in Hebei Province by Fang Zhike, officer from the Penghe Street Police Station, and the residential committee.
