(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 29 cities or counties in 16 provinces. In this report, 22 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 7 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Harbin, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Huo Lianwang Sent to the Wuchang Brainwashing Center to be Persecuted
Mr. Huo is an employee of the Harbin Railway Bureau. He was taken away by a group of agents from the Harbin 610 Office on the morning of September 10, 2009. These agents took him straight to the Wuchang Brainwashing Center. A female practitioner working at Mudanjiang Railway Station was also sent to the brainwashing center around the same time.

2. [Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wu Qiang Still Detained at the Wuchang Brainwashing Center
Mr. Wu was sent to the Wuchang Brainwashing Center on August 13, 2009, with Mr. Liu Wenwei and Ms. Wang Xiujuan. All three practitioners worked at the Real Estate Section of the Harbin Railway Bureau. Mr. Liu and Ms. Wang were released on September 10, 2009, but Mr. Wu is still in detention.
3. [Zhuozhou, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Huilan's Body Cremated
Zhuozhou City 610 Office head Yang Yugang led over a dozen policemen and broke into the home of Ms. Wang Huilan on September 1, 2009. After taking her into custody, they tortured her brutally. Ms. Wang went on a hunger strike to protest and was force-fed. As a result of the torture, she died on September 7, at the age of 54. To cover up their crime, agents from the 610 Offices of Beijing and Baoding gathered in Zhuozhou and ordered Ms. Wang's family to agree to have her body cremated immediately. It has been learned that her body was cremated against her family's will on September 10.

4. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Attorney Wang Yonghang Taken Back to Yaojia Detention Center for Further Persecution
On the afternoon of September 4, attorney Wang Yonghang, who had to walk with crutches, was taken back by police to Yaojia Detention Center for further persecution.
5. [Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Guo Jiafu Arrested in Yangzhou
Mr. Guo is a 50-year-old technician at the Xinhai Power Company in Jiangsu. Around September 7, 2009, while he was working on a project in Yangzhou, agents from Yangzhou's 610 Office took him into custody on a construction site. After his unlawful arrest, no one, including from his family or his workplace, was allowed to see him.

Xiong County Court opened its second secret trial of Ms. Zhai at 9:00 a.m. on September 11, 2009. The entire trial lasted only ten minutes.

7. [Pingdingshan, Henan Province] Mr. Qiu Buhua Tried Illegally

8. [Jianyang, Sichuan Province] Two More Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested
Zhou Longwu is the party secretary of Minwang Village, Jiancheng Town. He led 6 or 7 people to arrest 60-year-old Ms. Shi Tianqing on September 3, 2009. Ms. Shi was working in the fields at the time and was forcibly carried into the van. A few days later, on September 9, Ms. Wu Binju from Zhenjin was also taken away by police.

9. [Beijing] Mr. Li Jinchen, in his 70s, Sentenced to Two Years of Forced Labor after His Arrest

Ms. Yin, 60, is a retired employee of the Tonghua National Land Resource Bureau. Because she refused to attend brainwashing sessions or write a guarantee statement, the Bureau stopped her pension payments.

11. [Weifang, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Shiyou's Unlawful Term Extended by One Year
Mr. Wang was sent to a forced labor camp shortly before the 2008 Olympics. He was supposed to be released by the end of April 2009. However, the camp extended his term by one year.
12. [Guanghan, Sichuan Province] Persecution of Ms. Yuan Xingtao
Ms. Yuan, 69, was taken into custody by plainclothes police at 10 a.m. on September 9, 2009 when she was clarifying the truth in Luocheng Town, Guanghan City. The police pushed her into a police car and drove her to Gaoxinqu Police Station, where they cursed at her, body searched her and then beat her for over ten hours. She wasn't released until past 9 p.m.
13. [Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Guilan Unlawfully Arrested
Agents from Yemaotai Police Station in Faku County arrested Ms. Li Guilan around 10:00 p.m. on September 12. The police station phone number is 86-24-87191042.

15. [Wuhan, Hubei Province] Mr. Xia Mingqing Arrested and Sent to the Qiaokou Brainwashing Center
Mr. Xia Mingqing is a Falun Gong practitioner from Baiquan Farm in the Dongxihu District. A group of agents from the Baiquan Police Station arrested him and his wife on the night of September 6, 2009 while the couple was distributing truth-clarification materials on the farm. The police released his wife the next morning, but sent Mr. Xia to Dongxihu District Detention Center, where he was held for five days before being sent to the Etouwan Brainwashing Center in Qiaokou on the morning of September 13.
16. [Liaoning Province] Updates on Arrested Practitioners in Panjin Area
Among the practitioners unlawfully arrested on July 21, 2009, four female practitioners, Ma Chunrong, Yu Guiyun, Chen Yan and Zhang Ping, have been released. Mr. Sui Jingfeng is currently held at Benxi Forced Labor Camp, while Ms. Zhai Xiuhua is at the Fushun Brainwashing Center.
17. [Beijing] Ms. Xi Xiulan Unlawfully Arrested
Ms. Xi Xiulan, 67, was arrested on September 11, 2009. Back in 2005, the local police came to harass her numerous times before eventually sending her to a forced labor camp to serve a two-year term. Due to her work-related injuries, she was released before her term expired.
18. [Beijing] Ms. Niu Shoulan Arrested Again
Ms. Niu Shoulan, in her 60s, lives in Taiping Village of Shunyi District in Beijing. Two policemen took her into custody on September 2, 2009 while she was clarifying the truth in Shunyi. They took her back to ransack her home.

20. [Deyang, Sichuan Province] Elderly Ms. Chen Xiaozhen Arrested
Ms. Chen is a resident of Huangxu Town, Deyang City. Two security guards, Li Yongdong and Deng Yuanlu, took her into custody around 10:00 a.m. on September 8, 2009, while she was clarifying the truth on Heba Street in Huangxu Town. The two men took her to the Huangxu Police Station. Not long after, she was released, only to discover that police had ransacked her home and took away Master's portrait and Falun Gong books. Ms. Chen's husband is currently hospitalized and needs someone by his side to care for him.
21. [Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province] Li Xinping and His Wife Ling Juan Arrested
Both husband and wife are Falun Gong practitioners and they live in Wuyun Town of Jinyun County. Agents from the Wuyun Police Station took the couple away from their home on the night of September 4, 2009. Their home was ransacked.

22. [Beijing] Ms. Xu Ke Arrested and Her Husband Has Nowhere to Reside
Agents from the Dongcheng District Police Department and Wangfujing Police Station arrested Ms. Xu Ke at her workplace on September 8, 2009. At present, she is being held at the Dongcheng District Detention Center. On the night of her arrest, police broke into her rental place and looted her computer and printer. The next day the local street committee ordered Ms. Xu's family to move out of the rented residence within one week even though the lease has not yet expired. To her family's shock, the committee, along with a realtor, returned on September 10 and ordered them to move out immediately; otherwise all their belongings would be tossed outside the building. Ms. Xu's husband ran around for an entire day, looking everywhere, only to find he wasn't able to get anyone to rent him a place. However, they still moved out at the end of that day under pressure.
23. [Fuyang, Anhui Province] Ms. Shen Zeling Unlawfully Arrested around September 9, 2009
24. [Jiansanjiang, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Jiang Xinbo Arrested by Plainclothes Police
Mr. Jiang Xinbo is an employee of Qianjin Farm affiliated with Jiansanjiang Management Bureau. Two plainclothes policemen arrested him at around nine o'clock in the morning on September 10, 2009, while he was distributing DVDs of Shen Yun Performing Arts shows. After being held in the farm security office for a few hours, he was transferred to the Nanhao Detention Facility of Jiansanjiang Management Bureau, where he is still in custody as of today.
At around 11:00 a.m. on the day of Jiang's arrest, Zhang Wanrong (Qianjin Farm Security Office deputy head) and Shi Ping (610 Office head) led 5 or 6 people to ransack his home, located on the third floor of an apartment building. They pried open the window and crawled inside. When they left, they took two laptops and one printer.

25. [She County, Hebei Province] Unlawful Arrest of Mr. Zhang Jinlu
Mr. Zhang Jinlu, nearly 70 years old, is a resident of Xuejia Village. At around 5:00 or 6:00 a.m. on August 28, 2009, he was handcuffed and taken away from his home by a group of agents from the She County Police Department. Hu Haichao, the Domestic Security Office head, was in charge of the arrest.
26. [Xi'an, Shaanxi Province] Additional Information about Mr. Chen Shaodong's Arrest
Mr. Chen was cooking at home on September 9, 2009 when over a dozen agents from Xi'an City Police Department and Yanta Police Department came to arrest him. Yan Meiming, Domestic Security Office head of Yanta Police Department, led this action. They took away two computers, two cell phones, over 4,000 yuan in cash and some truth-clarification materials. After his arrest, Mr. Chen's sick and elderly mother was left with nobody to take care of her.
27. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Han Jian Held at Detention Center
Ms. Han, in her 50s, is a retired employee of the Dongfeng Chemical Factory. Policeman Li from the Longtan Police Department led a group of agents and broke into her home on the morning of September 10, 2009. They confiscated her Falun Gong books before taking her to Xiaobaishan Detention Center.

28. [Jiangyou, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zhang Qizhong and Four Others Arrested
Mr. Zhang, around 60, is a retired employee of Chang Steep Group Factory Four in Jiangyou. Over the past decade, he has been arrested and held at detention centers and brainwashing centers numerous times, and twice he was sent to labor camps. He and his wife had been wandering around without a stable home for over three years prior to their arrest on September 4, 2009, when Jiangyou Domestic Security Office deputy head Yang Yong led a group of people to take the couple into custody. Three other practitioners including Ms. Du Zijun were also taken away by police on the same day.
29. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Arrest of Ms. Li Shuzhen
Ms. Li, 45, is employed selling tickets at a local bus station. At around 9:30 p.m. on September 7, 2009, no sooner had she and her husband arrived at their home than plainclothes policemen arrested them. The police had been following her for three days. Her husband Changgui, who went to pick her up from her work, was also taken away. The police ransacked their home and took their child with them as well. They looted a cell phone, a printer and a computer. While at the Nansha Police Station, under pressure, Ms. Li's child told the police that she knew Ms. Feng Yumei. The next morning, police from Nansha Police Station ransacked Ms. Feng's home and unlawfully arrested her; however, the two elderly practitioners were later released due to their advanced age. Ms. Feng, however, is still in custody at the Yaojia Detention Center.
30. [Wuhan, Hubei Province] Mr. Hong Weisheng Went Missing on the Night of September 11, 2009; No One Knows His Whereabouts
31. [Dingzhou, Hebei Province] Mr. Tian Hongguang Sentenced to One and a Half Years of Forced Labor
Mr. Tian was unlawfully sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor on September 9, 2009. He is currently held at the Dingzhou Detention Center, waiting to be transferred to the Gaoyang Labor Camp.
32. [Meizhou, Guangdong Province] Three Women Arrested and Sent to Sanshui Women's Labor Camp
Lai Lifen and Zhang Lixia, both practitioners from Meizhou, were arrested together on August 9, 2009. The police ransacked Ms. Li's home and took away her computer and other belongings. The two practitioners were then sent to Fuda Detention Center in Mei County.
Around noon on August 11, 2009, Chen Yuwan, a teacher at Lianhe Elementary School in Bingcun Town, Mei County, was illegally arrested by a group of agents from Bingcun Police Station, who then took her to Qinhuang Detention Center.
Around September 1, the three women were transferred to Sanshui Women's Labor Camp. It was said that Lai, Zhang and Chen were sentenced to 20 months, 14 months, and 18 months, respectively.
33. [Weifang, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Suqin Arrested
A group of agents from the Weicheng District Domestic Security Office arrested Ms. Liu around 11:00 a.m. on September 11, 2009. They forcibly carried her all the way back to her apartment and ransacked her home. They took away Falun Gong books, a portrait of Master and a large amount of truth-clarification materials. At present, no one knows where Ms. Liu is being held.
34. [Jieyang, Guangdong Province] Ms. Lin Shaona Unlawfully Arrested
A group of agents from the Xianqiao Police Station arrested Ms. Li on the afternoon of September 2, 2009 for her truth-clarification activities. They ransacked her home on September 7. At present, she is being held at the detention center within Rongcheng District Police Department in Jieyang City.

35. [Tangshan, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Hongyuan and Ms. Liu Arrested
Ms. Liu is an elderly practitioner in Tangshan. A group of agents from Liutun Police Station in Lunan District captured her as well as another elderly practitioner surnamed Liu (around 65 years old) on the morning of September 13, while the two ladies were clarifying the truth in Liutun Flea Market.

36. [Geermu, Qinghai Province] Ms. He Jingyu Arrested
Ms. He is a practitioner working at Hanhai Group. She was arrested while distributing truth-clarification materials on September 2. She is currently being held in Geermu Detention Center. 37. [Haikou, Hainan] Mr. Diao Jirong Arrested and His Home Ransacked
Mr. Diao lives in the Zhonghe Apartment Complex, room 74, on Nansha Road. After he was taken away on the night of September 9, a security guard led seven policemen and ransacked his home until 4 o'clock the next morning. They took away his Falun Gong books.
38. [Quzhou County, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Jingbin Illegally Arrested
A group of agents from the Houcun Town Police Station in Quzhou County took Mr. Li into custody on the morning of September 13, 2009 while he was clarifying the truth. That same morning, police ransacked the home of Mr. Zhang Qingchao when no one was at home. They took away a DVD player and some Falun Gong books.

39. [Shandong Province] Ms. Gao Guizhen Currently Held at Wangliu Middle School
After Ms. Gao was arrested on August 1, she was kept at Weifang Detention Center for one month. She was on a hunger strike the entire time of her illegal detainment. She became extremely weak and was on the verge of death. Despite her weakened condition, she was tied down to a bed and brutally force-fed. Because she was also being injected with unknown drugs, she became disoriented and muddle-headed. The guards kept her tied to the bed for as long as 36 hours at a time, not allowing her to relieve herself. After one month of torture, her physical condition became dangerously grave. Afraid of taking any responsibility for her condition, the detention center transferred her to Wangliu Middle School in Weicheng District on August 31, where, nevertheless the torture continues. Ms. Gao has been on a hunger strike for 41 days.

40. [Luan County, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Yuping and Ms. Meng Cuimei Unlawfully Arrested
Ms. Li, who had been wandering around to avoid persecution, was recently arrested in Beijing. At present, she is being held in Luan County Detention Center. Ms. Meng was taken from her home on September 8, and sent to the same detention center.
