(Clearwisdom.net) On December 31, 2008, as Divine Performing Arts (DPA) New York Company and DPA Orchestra concluded their last show of 2008 at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center in Dearborn, Michigan, thunderous applause erupted in the audience. Many were still lingering in the hall and sharing their love for oriental arts long after the show was over.

Classic Music Pianist: Moved to Tears Numerous Times

Mr. Palazzolo, a classic music pianist

Joseph Palazzolo introduced himself as a classic music pianist and the music director of the Greater Detroit Music School. He said, "Reading the DPA flyers, I knew it would be a spectacular performance. I was completely in awe after watching the show. The dance movements were so elegant and the choreography was so well designed. The costumes were also unique. It's difficult to tell which program is my most favorite. In 'Flowing Sleeves', the ladies were very graceful; in some other programs, male dancers really showed their masculinity. It felt like watching a Taiji chart, where you had the balance of Yin and Yang. I was moved to tears numerous times during the show."

As a musician himself, Mr. Palazzolo especially took note of the DPA music, which he thought was full of profound meanings; he spotted a unique mix of classic European and traditional Chinese music. Speaking of the erhu (a two-stringed Chinese musical instrument), he said, "It is absolutely delightful to listen to the erhu music, which reminded me of China and was very representative." Moreover, he thought the tenor's performance was extraordinary.

Mr. Palazzolo continued, "What impressed me most was that the host said all the music pieces were original works. Who composed all the music? DPA has three companies touring the world. I really want to meet the composers... I like the variety and story-telling style of the show. I had no difficulty understanding the show. Even the songs had English translations. DPA has thought about everything to make the audience enjoy the show."

Mr. Palazzolo also said, "There was a scene in which gods descended from Heaven in the digital backdrop, and at the same time real people appeared on the stage. I was really moved and suddenly felt the reincarnation of life."

Ending his interview, Mr. Palazzolo said, "Today is New Year's Eve. I feel tonight's show kicks off a good start to the New Year. I will begin looking for spiritual guidance and learn more about Falun Dafa. I've already heard some facts about the persecution and I'm hoping to start learning Falun Gong in the near future."

This is the second time DPA graced the stage in Detroit. Many audience members said it was their second time watching the DPA show. This time around, many of them brought their friends and family along.

The high-technology and vivid digital backdrop expanded the limited stage into endless time and space, depicting a host of scenes including grandeur Heaven, an expansive ranch, a scenic Yi ethnic tribe, and snow-covered mountains.

DPA staged two shows in Detroit. At the beginning of each show, there were still people waiting to purchase any remaining tickets.
