(Clearwisdom.net) On the eve of the Olympics, about eight police officers from the National Security Division of the Lianhu District Department of Xi'an City in Shaanxi Province broke into the home of Ms. Li Zhirong. They ransacked her house and stole her personal belongings. They took the 66-year-old woman to a brainwashing center to be persecuted. This is the ninth time that Li Zhirong has been arrested.
Ms. Li used to suffer from all kinds of illnesses and had difficulty taking care of herself. When she was barely 50 years old, she had to stop working and recuperate at home. However, after she started practicing Falun Gong, all her illnesses disappeared and her whole body felt very light. Falun Gong gave her a second life.
She has been illegally arrested many times since July 20, 1999, when the CCP started to persecute Falun Gong. She was incarcerated, her house was ransacked, and her personal belongings were stolen. The police repeatedly extorted money from her, and she was sent to a forced labor camp and closely monitored at her own residence.
In September and October 1999, Li Zhirong went to help out at a shop owned by her son in Weinan City. She was incarcerated for 20 hours by officers from the Jiefang Road Police Station in Weinan. Then she was sent for one week of brainwashing and was closely monitored by the local police at her home for six months.
Around August 2000, she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. She was taken away by officers from the Lianhu Police Department in Xi'an City and incarcerated for 15 days. At the end of August 2000, when she clarified the truth to the community administration office director and the staff at the entrance of the residential area where she was living, she was arrested and sentenced to forced labor.
In 2001, Ms. Li's house was ransacked by policemen from the Xi'an City National Security Bureau. They took away her photocopier and her Falun Gong books.
In 2003, she was incarcerated for more than a month by officers with the Lantian Police Department in Xi'an City. She was sentenced to one year of imprisonment to be served out of prison and she was forced to pay 3,000 yuan in extortion.
In February 2004, Li Zhirong was forcefully taken away by officers from the Lianhu Police Department and incarcerated at a brainwashing center for more than five months.
In 2005, officers from the Linwei Police Department in Weinan City took away a large amount of Falun Gong materials and stole personal belongings from Li Zhirong's home. She was incarcerated for eight days and then "let out on bail" to await trial.
