Ottawa, Canada: Torture Reenactment Highlights the Brutality of the Persecution (Photo)
(Clearwisdom.net) "While China is in the spotlight because
of the Olympic Games, instead of stopping the persecution of Falun
Gong, the Chinese Communist regime has been arresting and torturing
practitioners in the name of a 'successful Olympic Games,'" Gongyu
Dai, spokesperson for the Canadian Falun Dafa Association, said at
an anti-torture exhibit held on Capitol Hill on August 23.
Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Liu Guijin Secretly Sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp (Photo)
(Clearwisdom.net) At around 9:00 p.m. on May 14, 2008,
Beijing Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liu Guijin, 58, was illegally
arrested by officers from the Beijing Domestic Security
Division and the Shunyi Public Security Sub-bureau. Her home was
ransacked in the process. After spending two years at a forced
labor camp, she was secretly sent to the Tenth Team of the Tuanhe
Dispatching Division in Beijing.
Ms. Zhu Dechao's Family Arrested in Kunming City, Yunnan Province
(Clearwisdom.net) On June 9, 2008, the Olympic Torch Relay
arrived in Kunming City, Yunnan Province. On May 20, before the
arrival of the torch, Chinese police illegally arrested
seven local Falun Gong practitioners and seized their houses. Ms.
Zhu Dechao; her husband, Jiang Kun, who is not a practitioner; and
her daughter, Jiang Runlin, were among those arrested.
