June 23

• Illegal Trial against Falun Gong Practitioner by Jiangdu Court in Jiangsu Province

On June 12, at Jiangdu Court in Jiangsu Province, CCP prosecutors used false, fabricated charges against Mr Wei and constantly interrupted the the defense. The defense team's argument made it clear to the court that any persecution against Falun Gong is in direct violation of the constitution.

June 24

• Ms. Lu Yanling from Shulan City, Jilin Province Critically Ill Due to Mistreatment in Jail

On March 12, 2008, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Lu Yanling from Shulan City, Jilin Province, was illegally arrested by the police. She developed serious heart disease and other problems due to ill-treatment in the detention center. At present, she is critically ill.

June 25

• The Depraved and Brutal Actions of Yang Hua, Deputy Director of Tongjiang City Detention Center

Yang Hua not only tortures Falun Gong practitioners himself, but incites other inmates to beat them.

• The Persecution of Schoolteacher Ms. Qi Yunping in Haixing County, Hebei Province

Ms. Qi Yunping has been arrested and is still being detained despite a lack of proper charges and her declining health.

• Doctor Jiang Qixiang and His Wife Missing without a Trace In Yun County, Hubei Province

This previously persecuted couple has disappeared as of May, 2008 and the local '610' office is suspected. Their young childeren do not know where they are.

June 26

• Mr. Yu Zhou and Ms. Xu Na's Family Seeks Justice--Calling Attention to the Injustice Suffered by the Couple

After Mr Yu death while imprisoned and with Ms. Xu being held without trial, Ms. Xu's parents are demanding an investigation.

June 27

• Ms. Xiao Sumin Tortured to Death in Shandong Province

Ms. Xiao's death is part of the pre-Olympic crackdown on Falun Gong practitioners by the CCP.

• Communist Party Authorities in Yueyang City Arrest 25 Falun Gong Practitioners in Two Days

The arrests are related to the Olympic torch relay.

June 29

• Ruthless Tortures of Mr. Zhang Zhaoyu by the Police in Shouguang Town, Shandong Province (Photo)

The police abducted Mr. Zhang Zhaoyu from a hotel on May 23, 2008. He was tortured ruthlessly by the police for several days before he eventually escaped from the station.
