(Clearwisdom.net) In November 2007, Dafa practitioner Ms. Zheng Youmei from Sichuan Province was arrested and sent to the Nanmusi Female Labor Camp. On November 2, 2008, she died from torture. Labor camp staff informed her family that Ms. Zheng died of a brain hemorrhage and her body was cremated without the family's permission.

Ms. Zheng, 61 years old, was retired from the Sichuan Vinylon Factory in the Changshou District, Chongqing City. Because she practiced Falun Gong, she was arrested several times and sentenced without trial to 18 months in prison.

On September 15, 2007, Ms Zheng's son and daughter-in-law were reported to the authorities because they distributed flyers in Zheba Village, Guangyuan and were subsequently abducted by CCP henchmen. On the same day, they broke into her daughter-in-law's home and saw Ms Zheng reading a Falun Gong text on her bed. They arrested her and confiscated many Falun Gong texts and truth-clarification materials.

Ms Zheng's daughter-in-law was released after 37 days but Ms Zheng was illegally sentenced to 18 months of imprisonment at the Nanmusi Female Labor Camp. Her son was sentenced to five years of imprisonment in March 2008.

On November 3, 2008, Ms Zheng's brother received a call from the Nanmusi Labor camp regarding his sister's death. The caller said that Ms Zheng was sent to the hospital right after she got sick on November 1, but died on the way. (In fact, she was first taken to the labor camp hospital, and later transferred to another city hospital.) Moreover, they said that they had not been able to find Ms Zheng's relatives, and it was only after much trouble that they obtained her brother's telephone number.

When Ms Zheng's family arrived at the labor camp to see her one last time, they were refused. Only after persistent efforts did the labor camp agree to let them have one look, but they were not allowed to take pictures. All of their cellphones were also confiscated. Also, before labor camp officials agreed, they forced her family members to sign a document giving up their right to an autopsy and to have an immediate cremation.

With all this, CCP agents surrounded the family as they viewed the body. After less than two minutes, they were forced out. Ms Zheng's family asked if they could clean her body and change her clothes but were refused. The family surmises that her body had already been prepared and made-up when they viewed it.

Immediately after this, her body was cremated. Ms Zheng's son, Peng Baiding (aka Peng Liang) is still illegally imprisoned at the Rongshan Prison, Guangyuan City where he is subjected to persecution.
