(Clearwisdom.net) On November 14, before Chinese President Hu Jintao was scheduled to visit Central America, Falun Gong practitioners assembled in front of the Chinese Embassy in Costa Rica, calling for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong. Practitioners set up a truth-clarifying display board and held banners exposing the bloody persecution taking place in China.

The president of Costa Rica, Oscar Arias, and Nobel Peace Prize winner Rigoberta Menchu Tum, walked out of the president's house, which is across from the Chinese Embassy, and talked with the practitioners. The practitioners told them about the persecution of Falun Gong and asked them for help in stopping it.

Officials from the Chinese Embassy came out and took photos of the practitioners. They also asked how many practitioners would be assembled when Hu was there. They ignored practitioners' calls for an end to the persecution.
