(Clearwisdom.net) Minghui reporter Cai Ju reports: This year, Falun Gong practitioners were invited to participate in the Independence Day Parade in New York's Chinatown on July 3, 2005, and there were warm reactions in the community.

Prior to American Independence Day, community groups in New York City's Chinatown traditionally hold a parade to celebrate the holiday. They want to express their support to the American people for their persistent efforts in promoting freedom and democracy, and also show that the Chinese people also love freedom and democracy. However, the parade's good spirit was distorted in the past several years due to the interference from the Chinese Consulate.

The Chinese Communist Party not only carries out autocratic, high-pressure mind control over the Chinese people in China, it also extends its influence abroad, using its consulates to buy off and entice the Chinese communities, and instigate them to continue oppressing their fellow citizens overseas by following the CCP's orders.

Since July 20, 1999, when the CCP started the suppression of Falun Gong, the Chinese Consulate in New York City has been active in Chinatown to compel the Chinese community members to oppose and be hostile to Falun Gong, to exclude Falun Gong's participation in community activities such as parades.

Over the past six years, Falun Gong practitioners have been holding a series of activities in Chinatown to clarify the truth, including outdoor exercises and truth clarification on the streets, frequent large scale weekend truth clarification rallies, and a weekend film show. The Chinese people all know that Falun Gong is remarkable.

In addition, Falun Gong practitioners have held many large-scale parades of over a thousand people with rich content, dancing and singing. The Chinese community has come to admire Falun Gong.

With the practitioners' truth clarification efforts being constantly extended, Falun Gong has begun melting into the life of the Chinese community. As a practitioner said while chatting with the community members: making friends with Falun Gong practitioners, you can feel assured and don't need to worry. Falun Gong teaches "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," and they do not deceive people. Falun Gong practitioners are considerate of others, they do not contend or compete for things.

At the beginning of the year, Falun Gong participated for the first time in Chinatown's Chinese New Year Parade. At last year's Independence Day, Falun Gong practitioners encountered much difficulty but finally were able to participate in the parade.

Falun Gong was invited to participate in this year's parade and the Falun Gong practitioners' contingent was, as usual, large and grand with rich performances that were natural, graceful, elegant, refreshing and adorable.

A large blue transparent banner with the words, "Falun Dafa is Good" could be seen in the Falun Gong contingent from a distance. There were also lion dancers, a flag group, a celestial maidens group, an exercise demonstration group, and a waist drummers group. The Falun Gong contingent was like a long dragon coming from afar.

The contingent was led by a huge banner reading "Falun Gong" in red characters with golden background. Lion dancers added to the fun of the parade. The lovely lion dance was followed by a large purple velvet banner reading "Falun Dafa" in both Chinese and English. Behind the banner was the martial flags group. Next was a large exercise demonstration group led by young practitioners. A young practitioner in the second row is just over four years old. Young as he is, he is a veteran practitioner. The banner reading, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" looked graceful, and seven celestial maidens danced elegantly. There were also a lotus flower dance and fan dance. The dancing was lively and graceful, displaying the elegance of the traditional Chinese culture.

The banners reading, "Falun Dafa is Good" were displayed at interludes in the contingent. The song "Falun Dafa is Good" echoed in the streets, warm and appealing. At the end of the contingent came the vigorous waist drummers group led by a big plaque with the words, "Falun Gong" in red characters on a golden background, looking extraordinarily grand.

The streets were filled with people, with everyone trying to find prime viewing spots to feast their eyes. People shared the joy and were amazed at Falun Gong practitioners' excellent performances. They took pictures to keep as a precious memory.

A Chinese man gave his camera to a westerner near him and asked him to take a photo of him, and especially emphasized to use Falun Gong as the background.

A little girl saw the celestial maidens' performance, and clapped her hands excitedly, "Wonderful, Beautiful."

Evanston is a famous city with a long history and dense population near Chicago, where the renowned Northwestern University is located. The annual Independence Day Parade is a celebration the people here love very much. Falun Gong practitioners' participation in the past years has brought the wonderfulness of Falun Dafa to the local people. The Falun Gong contingent won No. 1 and No. 3 of the Best Float Award respectively in 2003 and 2004. Prior to the event, as the practitioner who was previously in charge the parade moved away and changed his contact information, the organization in charge of the parade went all out to find the practitioner and cordially invited Falun Gong practitioners to participate for the sixth time in this famous parade.

Though it rained heavily that day, and even though Falun Gong practitioners have attended several times and won awards for two consecutive years, practitioners were still very earnest, and tried their best to perform the Tang Drum, celestial maidens' dance, demonstrate the five sets of exercises, and distribute Dafa truth clarification materials. They wanted to let more people learn about the wonderfulness of Falun Dafa. The spectators seemed moved by the practitioners' sincerity and spirit of disregarding the wind and rain, and they requested materials, applauded the practitioners and shouted their appreciation. An elderly man pressed his hands in front of his chest to make the Heshi gesture of respect, and bowed to practitioners numerous times.

(Clearwisdom.net) On the morning of July 2, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners in San Diego participated in the Independence Day Parade held in Oceanside. The Falun Gong contingent was composed of a large banner reading "Falun Dafa," a beautifully decorated float, graceful and elegant fan dance and vigorous waist drummers group. During the parade, practitioners continuously demonstrated the exercises on the float to display Falun Dafa's peacefulness and wonderful nature to the people. Practitioners who performed the Fan Dance and waist drum performed all the way.

This was the second time that practitioners had participated in this parade, and the sponsor and audience's enthusiastic response were not reduced compared to that last year. Wherever practitioners passed by, the audience gave warm applause, and requested materials that introduce Falun Dafa from practitioners. A photographic reporter walked into our procession, taking photos of the dance and waist drum performances. A child of about two years old saw us and was very excited. He could not help dancing to the music. After the parade, a spectator told practitioners that he had never heard such good-sounding music as "Falun Dafa is Good."

What is worth noting is that in order to participate in the parade, practitioners took about a week to make a beautifully decorated float, which gained much acclamation. An elderly couple that just took up Falun Gong four months ago participated as well and actively distributed Dafa materials all the way. The elderly woman used to suffer from Parkinson's disease, and she could not walk steadily. But this time she insisted on walking all the way and actively distributed materials.

(Clearwisdom.net) Minghui reporter Wang Ying reports from Fremont: On the morning of July 4, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners from the North California Bay Area were invited to participate in the annual American Independence Day Parade. They displayed Falun Dafa's greatness to the local people, who gave the practitioners warm welcome. Falun Gong practitioners' banner reading "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" was very eye-catching. The citizens said, "Welcome for bringing us Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance."

A Falun Gong practitioner said the organizer of the parade contacted him and expressed that Falun Gong practitioners stood out in last year's Independence Day parade, and they hoped we would continue participating this year.

That day, young practitioners from Minghui School performed lovely the little flying angels dance. Practitioners from different places of the Bay area performed the vigorous and vivid dragon dance; they unceasingly performed in the Falun Gong contingent and won the spectators' warm applause. Practitioners also demonstrated Falun Gong exercises to the spectators, who felt a peaceful atmosphere.

Wherever the Falun Gong contingent passed by, people would express their admiration and constantly say, "Wonderful."

A resident saw the banner reading, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" in practitioners' hands, and said excitedly, "Welcome, you who bring us Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

One spectator had been smiling and waving to the Falun Gong practitioners. She asked practitioners what the group was called. When she heard it was the Falun Gong group, she said that she had read about Falun Gong in the newspaper, and she knew that the Chinese Communist Party prohibits people from practicing Falun Gong in China. The practitioners told her that people do not have freedom of belief in China, and many people have been tortured to death for practicing the exercises. People in other countries all can practice the exercises freely.

Many residents of Chinese origin saw Caucasians in the Falun Gong contingent. They were amazed and shouted, "Look, Westerners." Practitioners learned that they came from Mainland China, and asked them if they had heard about Falun Gong. They said, "We did, and Falun Gong is quite good."

When the parade concluded, the organizer issued a certificate of appreciation for practitioners, thanking practitioners for their wonderful performance in the parade.

"We know where you are and who you are. If you don't give up what you are doing, we will kill more practitioners and come after you!" This chilling message was delivered to Falun Gong practitioner Mitchell Gerber of Atlanta over his cell phone on the evening of June 29. At least two other Falun Gong adherents received a similar call.

Mr. Gerber, a student of business and international relations at Georgia State University, knows why he was targeted for this abuse. "I do lots of work in Atlanta and at Georgia State University telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. I put my name on fliers as a contact person, have organized a Falun Gong club at Georgia State, and have worked with Amnesty International to stage events that have been viewed by thousands of students. I also call and e-mail China directly, telling the people of China that the persecution of Falun Gong is wrong and must end."

Mr. Gerber is not alone in receiving a death threat. After he publicized what had happened to him, he learned that a Falun Gong practitioner in Washington, D.C., and another in Boston, had each received a very similar call that same night.

In publicizing the persecution of Falun Gong, Mr. Gerber has encountered firsthand the fear that Chinese students here in the U.S. have of even discussing Falun Gong. "The Chinese students will not even look at you when you pass out fliers. A few of them have talked with me in private. They fear losing their visas and fellowships."

Mr. Gerber believes the students have reason to fear: they, and he, are being monitored. "A Falun Gong practitioner at Georgia Tech learned there were several Chinese spies on campus. His source suggests there are also spies at Georgia State, and warned I should be careful."

What Mr. Gerber has encountered--death threats orchestrated from Beijing, and spies monitoring both him and Chinese students in the U.S.--fits the picture of Chinese espionage painted by the recent high-profile defectors Chen Yonglin and Hao Fengjun.

Chen, the 1st Secretary of the Chinese Consulate-General in Sydney, made headlines when he went public with his defection from China at a press conference in Sydney on June 4. Chen revealed that in Australia he ran a network of 1,000 spies. One of their assignments was interfering with and harassing Falun Gong practitioners.

Hao Fengjun, who before his defection had been an officer with the 6-10 Office- the office tasked with "eradicating" Falun Gong in China, went public with his defection a few days after Chen. Hao confirmed Chen's account of large Chinese spy networks in Western democracies that monitor and harass Falun Gong practitioners.

Mr. Gerber has found his brush with Beijing-inspired intimidation unsettling. His family is afraid but also angry. Mr. Gerber reports his mother is "very afraid."

Nevertheless, Mr. Gerber remains resolute. He has reported the call to the police, the F.B.I. and the U.S. State Department. "I will keep practicing Falun Gong, and will continue doing everything I can to expose the persecution in China."

My name is Mitchell Nicholas Gerber and I live at (address elided) Marietta Georgia 30068. I am over 18 years old and am competent to make this declaration. I have personal knowledge of the matters set forth in this declaration and would and could so testify if called as a witness.

1. Beginning at 8:22:56 PM on Wednesday, June 29, 2005 I receives 7 calls on my cell phone. The caller ID identified a number I did not recognize. That number was (612) 524-0455. When the phone rang for an 8th time, I answered it.

2. A man who spoke $English as a native-born U.S. citizen informed me that the call was a "relayed chat from Beijing" and asked me whether I would accept it. I told him I would accept the call.

3. He then advised me that he was an interpreter in the conversation between Beijing and me, and that the person in Beijing would start the conversation.

4. He translated a message from Beijing as follows:" Mitchell Gerber, you are an enemy to our great nation of China, and must be dealt with properly." He continued, "Everything is fine in China, especially with the Children of China, there is nothing going on here." At this point, I felt extremely alarmed and uneasy, that I was threatened by such a harassing phone call.

5. The Interpreter then asked me if I would like to reply the person in Beijing. I stated, "Falun Dafa is good." The Interpreter interrupted me and asked me to spell "Falun Dafa," which I did. I continued, "We are not against the Chinese Government, we are not against China, and we think China is great and her people are great." "We just want to stop the brutal persecution against innocent Falun Gong practitioners in China." I felt very intimidated, but I needed to stand up for what I believe in and I needed the courage to speak out about what I stand for. It was truly frightening to me what was being said and my heart began to beat very fast.

6. The Interpreter abruptly stopped me and translated this message: "Shut it, you stupid fool." Based on his harsh tone, it was unclear to me whether he was a neutral translator or whether he was associated with the caller from Beijing.

7. "If you don't stop what you and your organization are doing, there will be severe consequences." "We know where you are and who you are." "If you don't give up what you are doing, we will kill more practitioners and come after you." I felt extremely intimidated and disturbed by the angry voice of the Chinese caller, as well as the interpreter. The conversation sent chills down my spine, and I literally started to cry.

8. The Interpreter asked me if I would like to reply to Beijing. Despite my distress, I tried to keep my composure and replied, "Only until every Falun Dafa practitioner is released form every jail, every concentration camp, and labor camp, and every brainwashing center, and is stopped being tortured, we will stop urging you to stop persecuting people who believe in freedom and individual rights and belief."

9. Angrily, the Interpreter translated to me; "Die!" "We will kill many more of your people in China, and kill you and anyone else who tries to come against our great nation." I felt numb and shock at the anger of the Chinese Voice and of the interpreter.

10. It was a three-way call and I could hear two other voices, the Interpreter and a Chinese voice. I tried to pay attention to the faint female Chinese voice in the background. As the conversation continued, the voice became louder as the person became angrier with me. He became even more angry when I said, "Falun Dafa Hao." (1)

11. The Interpreter cut me off again and stated, "We will create many practitioners' deaths unless you give up." The Interpreter asked me to continue and I stated, "The whole world knows that Falun Dafa is good, and we urge you to please stop persecuting innocent Falun Dafa practitioners. Thank you."

12. After about 20 minutes I ended the conversation. Afterwards, I could not complete my work because I was so shaken by the phone call. I found myself particularly upset by the caller's threat to kill more practitioners in China. Since receiving the phone call, my daily life has been disturbed and I feel chilled to the bone that the Chinese Regime would now extend its persecution towards the residents of the United States.

Chinese spies are closely monitoring New Zealand groups which the Chinese government fears. Recently, Falun Gong Practitioners interviewed Mr. Hao Fengjun, one of three Chinese defectors in Australia regarding Chinese espionage activities overseas.

Mr Hao is a former secret agent from the 610 office* in Tianjin, China. In this interview Mr Hao revealed how Chinese spies infiltrate churches and the Falun Gong group in New Zealand. He also revealed details on how the Chinese Communist Party operates their overseas spy network.

Mr Hao confirmed there is at least one spy specifically targeting the Presbyterian Church, codenamed agent 180. Agent 180 is currently residing in New Zealand.

Agent 180 collects detailed information about the Presbyterian Church's activities, and how the Presbyterian Church recruits new members in China. He is rewarded financially for the information he supplies to the Chinese government. Police also supply agent 180 with funding for expenses on overseas spy activities. Mr. Hao confirmed this agent is still in New Zealand, and has contact with the important person of the church. Mr. Hao also confirmed there were multiple spies operating in New Zealand.

Mr. Hao revealed that in China all religious groups which are not controlled by the government are strictly monitored. All their activities are monitored, especially around 'sensitive' dates such as public holidays and days of religious importance. International phone calls are tapped.

According to Mr. Hao, monitoring Falun Gong activities in New Zealand is very important and put on level terms with monitoring Falun Gong in Australia, Canada and the United States. The Chinese police department had a three year plan to build a spy network overseas, starting in 2001 and finishing in 2004. And New Zealand. Falun Gong activities in New Zealand were discussed each year in the annual meeting for this plan. Mr Hao believes that in New Zealand there must be a dense spy network.

Mr. Hao confirmed there is a black list of Falun Gong practitioners. Information on Falun Gong practitioners is submitted to China by spies in New Zealand. When asked about New Zealand Falun Gong practitioners who were arrested in China or refused entry upon arrival in China, Mr Hao stated that before Falun Gong practitioners boarded the plane they already knew all their details. Chinese embassies and consulates in countries all over the world are compiling these black lists.

Mr Hao confirmed there are spies focusing on overseas state secrets such as technology and military.

*The 610 office is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.

Kalmar citizen Ulrik Dahlgren is pressing charges against China's former head of state, Jiang Zemin, for crimes against the UN convention on torture.

Three years ago Ulrik was imprisoned in conjunction with a demonstration in Tiananmen Square against China's persecution of Falun Gong. For five days he was incarcerated, five days that left deep scars on Ulrik.

Around the world there are now several lawsuits against Jiang Zemin, among others. Ulrik's lawyer Peter Bergquist believes that putting pressure on China can lead to better human rights in the long run.

Millions of people are today incarcerated in labor camps after the persecution against Falun Gong began and many thousands have lost their lives.

You might think that the Chinese would get cold feet and that these crimes would be investigated in China. Then the trials can be held in China, says the lawyer Peter Bergquist, who nevertheless does not want to speculate in advance.

Earlier in Sweden, similar charges have been pressed where, for example, foreign persons have been defendants in a case. Such a case was the murder of a girl committed by her two brothers in 1999 in Iraq, but, the trial was held in Sweden. Lawyer Peter Bergquist was hired. He also started the legal process against the Argentinean Lieutenant Alfredo Astiz for the kidnapping of Dagmar Hagelin.

Ulrik is not the only Swede who is a plaintiff in this lawsuit. In addition, there are many lawsuits in other countries against high-ranking leaders in China, among them Jiang Zemin. Peter Bergquist believes that lawsuits in other countries can stimulate lawsuits in China and from a broader perspective it can lead to improved human rights in China.

Pia-Maria Sandas has found in Falun Dafa a system of relaxation and meditation that has changed her life.

Pia-Maria Sandas, a young Finnish lady based in New York and Madrid, has discovered a system of relaxation that improves physical wellness and that has, according to her (testimony), changed her life. Sandas is assured that Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) is what made her allergies and other physical and emotional problems that bothered her for years disappear.

Falun Gong, or Falun Dafa, is an ancient discipline that originated in China, and that consists of a series of exercises and relaxations of the body through meditation.

According to its adherents, this system that is practiced by over 100 million people in the world, is recommended for all ages and cultures. According to Pia María (or you could say, "our guest", the Falun Dafa practice (groups) aspire to improve health and internal peace, control stress and improve one's moral values.

According to this slender youth, this ancient Chinese discipline is knows as "a practice that promotes spiritual and physical growth", and that consists of two parts:

1. The practical aspect related to the improvement of the body through five exercises.

2. The spiritual and mental aspect, through three universal principles: Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance, the three virtues that form the core of the teachings of Falun Dafa.

Sandas, an ex-model who is now dedicated to promoting a cosmetic line as well as practicing Falun Gong on her free time explains: "For many years I read self help books and even went to therapies to try to resolve some emotional problems, but without satisfying results.

"I was also unable to cure myself from severe allergies until five years ago, when I was living in Sweden, my karate professor presented me to a group of Falun Dafa practitioners that I saw in one of the local parks."

"They looked so calm and peaceful that I decided to join the group. Since then I started discovering the solution to my emotional and physical problems. I also found a true peace that helps me analyze myself and to do better every day.

The adherents of the Chinese practice also affirm that Falun Gong helps one to get away from alcohol, drugs and violence.

Sandas clarifies that this Chinese practice is neither a religion nor a sect, and that the five exercises are taught for free by its adherents in over 70 countries.

1. Buddha Showing a Thousand Hands. Through gentle stretching movements this exercises opens all energy channels in the body.

2. Falun Standing Stance. Comprised of four static postures that are similar to holding a wheel. Helps to enhance ones energy level and awakens wisdom.

3. Penetrating the Two Cosmic Extremes. This exercise captures the energy from the cosmos through gentle hand-gliding movements. This exercise purifies the body using the energy from the cosmos.

4. Falun Heavenly Circuit. This exercise runs over the whole body, rectifying all abnormal conditions in the body and circulates energy widely.

5. Way of Strengthening Divine Powers. The exercises strengthen divine powers and the gong potency, and the adherents recommend doing it sitting on a carpet or on the grass. The legs should be crossed and for best results the lotus position is suggested.

Falun Dafa is a Chinese term with double meaning. Fa means law and lun means wheel. The concept refers to the law of cosmic motion and perpetual rotation. At the same time: Da means big and Fa means law.

As for the term gong, the word is used to name practices that develop internal energy.

For Sandas, Falun Dafa is a holistic improvement of the body, the mind and the soul, but clarifies that it is not a religion.

"The principles of Falun Dafa are explained in the texts Zhuan Falun and Falun Gong, the second one is recommended for beginners. These books were written by the founder of Falun Dafa, Master Li Hongzhi, says the practitioner, and affirms that the books can be downloaded for free from the website of the organization.

(Clearwisdom.net) My cousin lives in Fuxin, Liaoning Province. One day she received Parts 6 and 7 of the "Nine Commentaries." She felt that the writing was very truthful and solid, and she was so eager to read rest. She asked her daughter to write a thank you letter, and then posted it on her front door. The letter basically said: "I've read through parts 6 and 7 of the Nine Commentaries. I like the writing a lot and I wish to read the entire Nine Commentaries as soon as possible. Thank you!"

Afterwards, she just couldn't get the Nine Commentaries out of her mind. One evening, while visiting her parents, she showed me the two parts she hade been given. She asked me if I had seen the book. So I took out the book containing the complete Nine Commentaries and gave it to her. I then told her about the major movement to withdraw from the CCP (Chinese Communist Party). She immediately wrote a declaration to withdraw from the CCP. A few days later, she convinced her family to do the same.

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhang Zhagen from Kaifeng City, Henan Province, was tortured to the brink of death in the Kaifeng City Forced Labor Camp in Henan Province. He was sent to the Kaifeng City Medical Institute Hospital for emergency treatment on June 24, 2005. On the night of June 27, 2005, he died. An investigation seeking more detailed information on how Mr. Zhang Zhagen was persecuted to death is currently underway.

The doctor who treated Mr. Zhang said that he was dying when he arrived at the hospital from the forced labor camp, and that if he had survived, he would have most likely remained in a comatose state. In the hospital Mr. Zhang was completely unconscious and in a deep coma. He had such difficulty breathing that he had to be put on a ventilator. His face and legs were swollen, and all of his major organs were malfunctioning. While he was in the hospital, he was monitored 24 hours a day by police guards from the forced labor camp, who stayed outside the emergency room, and his family members were not allowed to visit him.

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhang Zhagen was a 52-year-old former employee of the Kaifeng Guest House as well as a retired military officer. He was repeatedly and illegally detained. On March 6, 2005, the police from Daxing Police Station of Kaifeng City took him from his home, sentenced him to a two-year term of imprisonment, and detained him at the Kaifeng City Forced Labor Camp for further persecution. Although Mr. Zhang had gone on a hunger strike to protest the persecution he was subjected to at the forced labor camp, the officials and police guards there kept torturing him. The forced labor camp authorities didn't send him to Kaifeng City Medical Institute Hospital for emergency treatment until June 24, when he had been on his hunger strike for nine days and had been tortured to the brink of death. At that time, Mr. Zhang Zhagen's bloodshot eyes were wide open, his face was swollen, and he had difficulty catching his breath. His arms were covered in purple bruises from the beatings he had received.

It was generally known that Mr. Zhang Zhagen had been illegally detained at the Education Division of the forced labor camp. Xu Yinhai, the Head of the Education Division, had instigated criminals to deprive him of sleep, drag him, force him to stand under the baking sun on hot days, and to torture him using several other methods.

Xu Yinhai, over 40, is a police guard at the Kaifeng City Forced Labor Camp. He is quick-tempered and is called one of "the four wicked evils" by the criminals at the forced labor camp. He has instigated criminals to torture several Falun Gong practitioners.

(Clearwisdom.net) The 610 Office in the Aohan Area, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, headed by Guo Xiaoguang and Liu Keqin, has joined up with the National Security Division headed by Gong Chuanxing to harass Falun Gong practitioners. They arrest practitioners and take them to a brainwashing center, extort money from their townships or workplaces and use all kinds of other method to force them to give up their belief.

Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Wei Xingliang from Jinchanggouliang Town, the Aohan Banner was arrested and sent to a brainwashing center at least five times. He was severely persecuted to the point of a mental collapse. On May 24, 2005, when he was cleaning a balcony window, he fell from the fourth floor and died, at only 51 years old.

Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Wei Xingling worked hard at the Jinchanggouliang Gold Mine and received many awards. He was well known as a good person in Jinchanggouliang Town. After July 20, 1999, when Jiang Zemin started persecuting Falun Dafa, Mr. Wei went to Beijing to peacefully appeal for the right to practice Falun Gong. After he went back home, however, as a punishment, his workplace deprived him of his bonus.

On the 10^th day of the 3^rd month in the Chinese Lunar Calendar of the year 2001 (about April 2001), Gong Chuanxing from the Aohan National Security Division searched through Mr. Wei's home, suspecting that he had been storing and distributing Falun Gong materials. The searchers did not find anything, but still arrested Mr. Wei and detained him at the Aohan Detention Center. Mr. Wei went on a hunger strike for half a month to protest the persecution. He was released two weeks later, after he was forced to write a guarantee statement not to practice Falun Gong and after they extorted 1,500 yuan from his family members. In June 2002 Liu Xiaoguang, the head of the 610 Office and his assistant, Liu Keqin, incited the staff to arrest Mr. Wei again. This time they detained him in the brainwashing center located at the Aohan Banner Hedong School of Health. They forced him to watch videos defaming Dafa, curse Falun Gong's Teacher and Dafa and to lie. They violated his human dignity by humiliating him and the forced him to write the three statements.

On June 24, 2004, Liu Keqin arrested Mr. Wei once again, this time at his workplace, and detained him in the Aohan Hedong Brainwashing Center for over 40 days. Along with him, two older female Falun Dafa practitioners, Ms. Zhao Fenglan and Ms. Luo Yanchun, were also persecuted. During their detention they were forced to watch videos defaming Falun Dafa every day and write their "experience sharing" and "five statements."

Around late October 2004, Zhao Jingzhong from the Jinchanggaoliang Town Police Station, urged on by personnel from the Aohan 610 Office, secretly arrested Mr. Wei once again, and locked him up in the brainwashing center located at the Aohan Banner Hedong School of Health for over 20 days. They still forced him to watch videos defaming Falun Dafa every day, write the "experience sharing" and "five statements" and others. Guo Xiaoguang, Liu Keqin and others admitted on their own that that Falun Dafa practitioners were all good people, and that the "Tiananmen Self-immolation" was staged by the government. However, they said they would still force Dafa practitioners to acknowledge that the "Tiananmen Self-immolation" was real, to see if they were indeed "reformed" and had indeed given up cultivation practice. In early November, these personnel forced Mr. Wei Xingliang to practice another Qigong in the Aohan School of Advanced Studies. Later, Mr. Wei Xingliang escaped and fled back home.

Being arrested again and again, suffering mental attacks one after another, being forced to lie, to curse Dafa and Teacher, to write "three statements" and "five statements" again and again, Mr. Wei could not withstand the blows and became absent minded. Just four days before he died, he cried in front of others in one of his relatives' homes in Aohan.

The 610 Office heads Guo Xiaoguang and Liu Keqin cannot shirk their responsibility for Mr. Wei Xingliang's death. Even today, Mr. Wei's family members and relatives do not dare to speak out about his death or seek justice from the government because of Guo and Liu's threats and their abuse of power. Now, Guo and Liu are running a brainwashing class again in Aohan. On June 17 two Falun Gong practitioners, Li Xiulan and Xu Guizhi, were already arrested.

(Clearwisdom.net) Chatou Brainwashing Center in Guangzhou has been persecuting local Dafa practitioners ever since its establishment at the beginning of 2000. When it was just established, the authorities illegally charged Dafa practitioners, their workplaces and neighborhood committee 9,500 yuan every month per practitioner. The amount has been reduced to 1,000 yuan. At present, there are over ten Dafa practitioners who remain in detention and are suffering torture at the brainwashing center. Details about each are listed below:

1. Mr. Li Jianzhong, 38 years old, is an engineer of the Guangdong Highway Design Institute. As a result of his excellent work, he was commended by his workplace. During the 2005 Spring Festival, the Party committee secretary at his workplace sent him to the brainwashing center because he publicly clarified the facts of the persecution to his colleagues. In order to avoid the persecution and the constant threat of arrest, Mr. Li's wife left home with her daughter and has been homeless and destitute for almost two years. According to Lai Jianfeng, the brainwashing center's chief instructor, Li Jianzhong's workplace knows the whereabouts of his wife and daughter. When his daughter turns two, they will arrest his wife.

2. Ms. Lu Xianming, over 30 years old, is in long-term detention at the brainwashing center after being forced into a labor camp. She continues to go on hunger strikes to appeal against the persecution, and was force-fed three times a day for a long period of time.

3. Ms. Deng Yi, over 30 years old, was force-fed by intravenous injection for a long time due to her hunger strike.

4. Ms. Wu Xiuhua, about 30 years old, is from Haizhu District, Guangzhou City. She was illegally sent to a forced labor camp. Ms. Wu was transferred from Chatou Detention Center to Chatou Brainwashing Center and has been there for more than one year. Wu Xiuhua began a hunger strike in mid-April of this year. At present she is imprisoned in a dark, damp, isolated cell, where she is suffering physically and mentally.

6. Ms. Zhang Li, over 40 years old, illegally detained for nearly a year because she distributed truth-clarifying materials.

7. Ms. Yuan Ming, 29 years old, an English teacher at Guangzhou City Evening University.

There are three more practitioners who are detained at the brainwashing center. Their names are unknown at this stage.

The key evil personnel in charge of brainwashing at Chatou Brainwash Center include Chief Instructor Lai Jianfeng, instructor Yang Yongcheng and Deng Quan.

Xu Qingsong is a Tianhe District 610 Office policeman. When practitioners asked his name, he lied, saying that his first name is Hai. He is notorious for brutally persecuting Dafa practitioners. He appears ferocious but he is extremely frightened inside. When Dafa practitioners around the world send forth righteous thoughts together, he trembles all over and cannot even write with a pen.

Wang Junxia, Security Bureau Assistant, 28 years old, from Shandong Province. Wang Junxia came to South China looking for work and was hired by the brainwashing center. Her phone number is 86-20-33033015 (Cell).

There are other security guards who also came to South China looking for work and were hired by the brainwashing center to assist the persecution of Dafa practitioners. Their monthly salary is less than 1,000 yuan and most of them are young women of about 20 years old. They are Zhang Weiping, Zhao Fuhua, Li Haiyan, Tian Lipeng, Peng Zhen, Ouyang Ting, Li Yan and Chen Peipei.

In May 2005, officials of the Chuanying District in Jilin City established a brainwashing center in the Jilin Chunguang Dairy Products Company Hotel. Because of practitioners' righteous thoughts and righteous actions, the center was shut down in early June. 610 Office staff from Jilin City, Huadian City, and Hongshi Township cooperated to run another brainwashing center in the Hongshi Township Hotel to continue to persecute practitioners.

In May 2005, Deputy Party Secretary Zhang Xiaolan (female) of the Chuanying District, Party Secretary of the Political and Legal Committee Wang Hongtu, Deputy Party Secretary of the Political and Legal Committee and Director of the 610 Office Wang Hongjia, Head of the district's Juridical Bureau Pang Jiang, and other officials made an agreement with Qu Jiang, the Chief Manager of the Jilin Chunguang Dairy Products Company, that they would run a brainwashing center in the company-owned hotel for two months.

Many practitioners were detained at the brainwashing center. Police and others restricted practitioners at the center and tried to force them to give up practicing Falun Dafa. Two practitioners were detained in one room and watched by two people.

On May 19, 2005, a practitioner learned about the new brainwashing center and hurried there to obtain more detailed information. One practitioner called the chief manager of Jilin Chunguang Dairy Products Company, Qu Jiang, for details and posted the news on the Clearwisdom website. This detailed information about the brainwashing center spread among local practitioners. Practitioners produced and distributed stickers exposing the brainwashing center's evil behavior; banners saying, "Stop the Persecution" and "Release Illegally Detained Practitioners Immediately;" and truth clarification materials. Practitioners from overseas also called the persons responsible, who were alarmed to discover that their actions were being exposed.

On the evening of May 19, with the cooperation of the local practitioners, more than 20 large stickers saying, "Stop Committing Crimes, Release the Innocent Immediately" were stuck onto the gate of the brainwashing center (the company-owned hotel); electric poles; and other places on the road to expose the evil.

One practitioner hung a four-meter-long banner reading, "Stop the Persecution, Release Detained Practitioners Immediately" on the fence outside of the brainwashing center. Other local practitioners who could not make it to the location also contributed by sending forth righteous thoughts.

The family members of the detained practitioners went to the brainwashing center to appeal for the release of their loved ones. The practitioners at the brainwashing center were strong in their beliefs and started a hunger strike to protest the persecution against them. Many practitioners went to places close to the brainwashing center to send forth righteous thoughts every day or posted stickers exposing the persecution.

Chuanying Brainwashing Center in Jilin City was shut down by the voice of justice from around the world in early June. Ms. Wang Ying, a practitioner on a hunger strike, came out of the center with righteous thoughts. However, she had been injected with unknown nerve damaging drug, and her health was severely damaged.

After coming home, Ms. Wang Ying felt extreme fatigue, so she went to the 610 Office of the Chuanying District and questioned the officials, "What did you inject me with? My heart has been beating faster than normal, and I have been muddle-headed for days." The 610 Office staff lied to her, saying that they had injected nutritional supplements.

When the Chuanying Brainwashing Center failed, the 610 Office of Jilin City cooperated with the 610 Offices in Huadian City and Hongshi Township to set up other brainwashing centers to persecute practitioners. On June 8, 2005, the 610 Offices of Huadian, Jiapigou, and Hongshi, plus police and neighborhood committees, started to work together to abduct practitioners. At present more than ten practitioners are being detained and persecuted at the brainwashing center in Hongshi Township, Huadian City.

On June 14, 2005, the 610 Offices of five counties in the Jilin City area held a meeting at the Huadian City government hotel to plan further persecution efforts against local practitioners.

(Clearwisdom.net) Mrs. Wang Xiuhua, 31 years, lived in Houping Station, Qiaotou Village, Chalukou Township, Dehui City, Liaoning Province. She was sickly, physically weak, constantly concerned about her healthand suffered from various illnesses before she practiced Falun Gong. All of her illnesses disappeared without her noticing it after she began to practice Falun Dafa. Around April 24, 2001, the local police arrested her and took her to a brainwashing center, which was conducted by the Party School of the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) in Dehui City. She didn't cooperate with them and started a hunger strike to protest the persecution. As a result, she was released on April 29. Afterwards, the local police repeatedly went to her home to harass and threaten her. In order to avoid being arrested again, she was forced to leave home and become destitute and homeless. She passed away in June 2004.

Mrs. Li Lianyu, 69 years old, lived in Dongzhuang Village, Houshayu Township, Shunyi County, Beijing City. She went to Beijing twice to validate Dafa at Tiananmen Square, in April and June 2000 respectively. As a result, she was arrested. During the police interrogation, she thoroughly negated all the evil's commands and arrangements. She refused to sign her name on any documents or to give her fingerprints. Afterward, she went home with dignity. Her four daughters were also persecuted because they persisted in practicing Falun Dafa. The police repeatedly searched Mrs. Li's house and confiscated her personal property. All of these events caused tremendous injury to her both mentally and physically. The harassment affected her so negatively that she ended up spending her waking hours in extreme terror. She passed away in September 2000.

Ms. Gao Shulian, was a seventy year old female of Hui (Muslim) nationality. She was a retired accountant from the Fengcheng Hospital, Fengcheng City, Liaoning Province. Someone informed the police while she was distributing truth-clarifying materials. As a result, she was arrested and detained in a detention center for 15 days. After she was released, she continued to clarify the truth and distribute truth-clarifying materials. The Wenhua Police Station arrested her again and beat her while she was at the police station. Due to being extremely frightened, her health was affected. She suffered from serious illnesses and passed away in the latter half of 2004.

Ms. Li Xiuchun, 65 year old, lived in the Tiedong District, Anshan City, Liaoning

Province. She suffered from serious diabetes and was emaciated and highly irritable before she started practicing Falun Gong. After she began to practice Falun Gong, all her diseases disappeared, a rosy and healthy complexion appeared on her face, she no longer had a temper, and she became considerate. After the persecution of Falun Gong started, she exposed the evil and clarified the truth to people. As a result, the police and the local officials from her community repeatedly threatened and harassed her. She suffered tremendously, both mentally and physically. Her illness relapsed, and she passed away in October 2000.

Ms. Fang Chengzhi, sixty-four years old, lived in Yang Shu Township, Dehui City, Jilin Province. Because of the government's cruel persecution, Ms. Fang suffered from tremendous mental pressure and died in January 15, 2004.

Ms. Jiang Jifang, sixty-four years old, lived on Guilin Road, the Chaoyang District, Changchun City, Jilin Province. She started practicing Falun Gong in 1997. After July 20, 1999, because Ms. Jiang appealed for the right to practice Falun Gong and clarified the truth to everyday people, she was persecuted to death in 2001.

Ms. Li Yanbo, over sixty years old, was from Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province. She started practicing Falun Dafa in June 1998. After she started practicing, all her illnesses disappeared effortlessly. After July 20, 1999, when the persecution started, the police station and the officials in her community repeatedly went to her house to harass and threaten her. She suffered tremendous injury both mentally and physically. Her old illnesses relapsed, and she passed away in November 2003.

Ms. Guan Meilan, seventy years old, lived in Fengcheng City, Liaoning Province. She went to the capital city of Liaoning to peacefully appeal for Falun Dafa on July 20, 1999. As a result, she was detained. Afterwards, the police repeatedly harassed and threatened her. Because she was forbidden to study Falun Dafa and practice the exercises, she suffered a stroke and passed away in the latter half of 2004.

Ms, Zhang Yuanzhi, fifty-eight years old, was a retiree and a Dafa practitioner from XinJiang Province. In September 1999, she was threatened, harassed, and persecuted to death.

Ms. Wang Nailing, eighty-one years old, was a Dafa Practitioner in Tangshan City. After she started practicing Falun Dafa in 1998, she completely recovered from hepatitis and an eye disease. After July 20, 1999, due to the lack of an environment to study Falun Dafa and to practice the exercises with others, she was physically affected. In addition, her daughter was sent to a detention center because she distributed truth-clarifying materials. All of these events caused tremendous injury to her. Her previous diseases relapsed, and she passed away in April 2003.

Mr. Lin Jingfu, fifty-eight years old, lived in Taipingzhuang Village, Huixiang City, Henan Province. He was arrested during a Fa conference held by Jiushan practitioners in Huixiang City. He was detained for half a month and fined 500 yuan. After he was released, his health condition deteriorated. He passed away on October 22, 2002.

(Clearwisdom.net) As one of the three most important things that Dafa practitioners should do during the Fa-rectification period, effectively sending forth righteous thoughts together directly affects how well we can validate the Fa. My understanding from the perspective of the Fa was that as long as we conform to the Fa without omission and cultivate well, our righteous thoughts would be effective. I also believed that even if many things interfere with us, they are only temporary and part of the cultivation process as long as our xinxing meets the Fa's criteria of our level.

In the past few months, however, I have been experiencing great interference while sending forth righteous thoughts, and I was forced to adjust myself because I was not able to calm down. After examining the issue closely, I still failed to find any major problems. In spite of my absence of attachments, which is the result of the cultivation process, I have been trying hard to eliminate the interference by the standard of Fa. Having read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party six times, I believed that I had removed the interference from the communist specter. I also believed that I had done well the three things every Dafa practitioner should do. Overall, I did not know where the root problem was, and I strived to use "strong righteous thoughts" to repel the interference. This strategy seemed to work sometimes, but the problem kept returning. Sometimes my whole body was tired after sending forth righteous thoughts, but I did not understand what was wrong.

Recently, I saw a few practitioners sending forth righteous thoughts outside the Chinese Embassy, so I joined them. After we finished, an older practitioner asked me what I was thinking when sending forth righteous thoughts. I told him I was thinking about eliminating rotten demons, dark minions, any Gods that play negative roles, and the evil communist spirit. The practitioner told me that it should definitely be "Eradicate all evil that damages Dafa, disintegrating all of the dark minions and rotten demons, destroying all elements of the Communist evil specter and all of its evil factors in other dimensions, encompassing all of it and leaving out none." He added, "I suggest you seriously check out the Minghui/Clearwisdom website."

On the way home, I thought, "What he said does not differ much from my own understanding. Every practitioner can have his or her own understanding of the Fa while the understanding of the editors of Minghui/Clearwisdom is probably also right. It is unnecessary to require everyone to follow the same rule."

As soon as I returned home, I read the article on Minghui/Clearwisdom entitled "The Essentials to Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts and the Schedule for Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts at Set Times Around the World (Update 2)," which explains exactly what that practitioner said. Perhaps the evil communist spirit indeed differs from the evil elements of the communist party in other dimensions, I thought. With that new understanding, I started to follow the essentials of sending forth righteous thoughts described in the article to eliminate evil. This made a huge difference. While sending forth righteous thoughts, I experienced little interference.

I conclude that the reason I failed to concentrate while sending forth righteous thoughts is because of the evil elements of the communist party in other dimensions, which I failed to eliminate over an extended period of time. As a result, these elements were able to take advantage of some opportunities to use their evil influence.

I am sharing my experience here to help fellow practitioners in avoiding the same mistake. Lets review the words in Clearwisdom's notice regarding sending forth righteous thoughts: Eradicate all evil that damages Dafa, disintegrating all of the dark minions and rotten demons, destroying all elements of the Communist evil specter and all of its evil factors in other dimensions, encompassing all of it and leaving out none.

(Clearwisdom.net) As soon as we hear people saying we are playing politics, we hurriedly explain the facts to them. But sometimes we become agitated by what people say when our words do not convince them, and they resist no matter how logical and reasoned are our arguments. When we are not patient and are moved by sentimentality, we are on the same level as everyday people. Master said:

In addition, there are evil factors controlling ordinary people that make it even harder for us to clarify the truth. If we are too concerned that people may believe that we are playing politics, these words from Master are helpful:

The evil forces will take advantage of this mentality if we worry and have fear about this attachment.

The more we are worried about people saying that we are playing politics, the more others might mention it. When encountering trouble, we must remember to look within ourselves to find problems with our own xinxing. We should pay more attention to improving our xinxing and pay less attention to exterior changes. When being misunderstood by people who say or think that we are playing politics, we must remain calm and send forth righteous thoughts to remove the CCP's (Chinese Communist Party's) influence, and rid the evil factors that are controlling their minds. We must not argue, and should wait until the other party has finished talking before speaking. While discussing the issue, we can express our thoughts targeting the main problems in their arguments, and then let them analyze it themselves. Make sure to send forth righteous thoughts during the entire discussion. Based on the other party's situation, it is much better to clarify one issue rather than talk about ten issues, with none of them being accepted.

One should not seek immediate results when clarifying the truth, nor should we be moved by temporary and superficial reactions. Armed with facts, I was once refuting some rumors spread by the CCP's official media to a friend. I talked a lot and was very thirsty. I stopped talking and tried to determine if my message got through. The other party not only did not agree with me, he even said that if this were the Mao era, people like me would have been executed. I was very disappointed. The discussion was useless and my time was wasted. I felt very bad and thought, "This person cannot be saved and will eventually be eliminated!" In fact, I was moved by sentimentality, and the power of Dafa could not be demonstrated. I should have sent forth righteous thoughts at the same time to eliminate the evil controlling him with the hope that he could hear and eventually understand the truth. Perhaps the time was not yet right for him to obtain the Fa, and though his mind was not very clear right then, it could become clear after a few days of thinking. I should not have judged him based on his one-time behavior.

We should have Fa in our hearts and eliminate bad thoughts and opinions when clarifying the truth. There should be only one thought in our minds, and that is "I really want to do this good for you." With a pure and compassionate heart, the ordinary words will be very effective. When we assimilate with the Fa, we will be very effective when clarifying the truth. On the other hand, when our minds are not pure, an arrogance may be sensed. If we try to force the other party to recognize and accept our opinions, or if we try to win the argument, then the other party may not listen to us due to the impure elements in our conversation, no matter how kind and gentle our tone seems. The fewer attachments and impure thoughts we have, the more compassionate we will be, enabling us to truly reach the other person. The purer the thoughts, and the cleaner and simpler the words, the more power they carry. They can reach peoples' hearts instantly and can really save people.

It is not difficult to understand the reasoning based on the Fa. However, when a tribulation occurs, the human side sometimes takes the lead, and our behavior can become unsatisfactory and regrettable. No matter what one does, one will exhibit his xinxing one way or the other. As long as we are still in human society, we will have attachments to eliminate. We should treat ourselves as practitioners and have righteous minds when encountering certain issues.

In almost every lecture, Teacher told us that we should study the Fa more. After studying the Fa more, I realized that only studying the Fa well allows one to have righteous thoughts and actions. The following is a short experience of mine.

In October of 2001, one of my relatives who is a Dafa practitioner was arrested when he was writing truth-clarifying posters. After being released, he called me one day asking me to go to his place and watch a videotape of Teacher's lecture. I was happy and planned to go. However, my daughter would not let me go, so I called and told him that I would not go to his place after all. He then told me that the videotape had not come and he had new articles by Master Li, asking me to go there for that. Because I was studying the Fa every day, I felt something was fishy about this situation. In such an evil environment, one would not talk the way he did. Later, I learned that he had been brainwashed while in custody and his family members told me the true story. Unwilling to give up after two failures in trying to trick me into going to his place, he tried to persuade my husband to coax me to go and told my husband that they would send me to the brainwashing center as soon as they got me there.

Later, he gave me some false articles, and I told him that I would not read them since they were fake. I study the Fa every day and Teacher protects me so that no tricks work on me. He reluctantly said that he knew he could no longer deceive me. I asked him to go home to study the Fa more and not do anything to interfere with other practitioners' cultivation.

Finally, he called the local police and asked them to come to arrest me, but the police told him that they could not do it because they were in a different district from mine. I realized that the evil was unable to touch me since I firmly believe in Teacher and Dafa. Teacher said in Zhuan Falun, "If someone could affect you, he could affect me, and to put it directly, he'd be able to affect the universe." (quote verified)

The righteous thoughts, which I obtained from studying the Fa, made the evil's plot totally disintegrate.

Being short of truth-clarification materials, we realized that we should try to find different ways to solve the problem without waiting for or depending upon others. On January 29, 2004, my daughter and I went out after 7:00 p.m. to put up posters to clarify the facts. We went out through our back door. After picking a place and having my daughter serve as lookout, I posted the message, "Falun Dafa is good, Zhen-Shan-Ren is good, Jiang Zemin will be tried publicly by the whole world."

Sometimes there would be interference and it would take extra time to finish our job. When we got to the bus station, three policemen came up to us. We kept sending forth righteous thoughts in our minds. Thus we passed them closely but safely.

That night I had a dream in which I saw the eye-catching characters, "Falun Dafa is good," posted on a section of snow-white wall. Not far from the front side of the wall, there were many policemen having a drill. I went by without any trouble. After waking up, I understood it as Teacher's message telling me that there would be no more things to do after finishing this one. I also understood that the 610 office would send many policemen to watch those spots and conduct an investigation. It happened just that way. The next morning, my husband called me not long after he started work, telling me not to go out since "the police had found many posters." At about 10:00 p.m. that night, my husband came home telling me that many policemen were downstairs. I looked down from my window and saw five policemen standing at the crossing talking. Then, my husband told me that according to his friend, the person who had written the messages had been arrested. Having heard this, my daughter and I laughed. I said to him, "Your friend is fooling you. They could never catch the person who wrote those messages."

Several days later, I bought some glue and prepared sheets with the words "Falun Dafa is good" with glue on the back. In this way, we solved the problem of being short of materials without waiting for or depending on others.

One evening in early winter two years ago, I wanted to clarify the truth and let people know that Jiang Zemin would be tried by the whole world. To help more people see this news, I picked a section of wall beside the road to post my message. After I had just finished, I dropped my pen without seeing where it fell. I bent at my waist and lowered my head trying to find it. However, I simply could not see where it was, even under the bright moonlight. I realized that Teacher was giving me a hint to stop me, and I instantly raised my head and walked away. At the very moment that I was turning to walk away, I saw a man coming up to me and he was already as close as two meters from my spot. I took a deep breath and thanked Teacher in my heart for his compassionate protection. Later, I finished posting my messages. Under Teacher's protection, I finally finished what I should do. From this incident, I realized that Teacher is always around and protecting us.

Since I once took a roundabout course after coming home from the labor camp, I could not study the Fa and practice openly and with dignity for a long time. Whenever I clarified the truth to my husband, he would say some bad words. In such a situation, although I had been firm in studying the Fa and practicing, I would always do so only after my husband left, since I could not do them as long as he was home. I also tried to arrange my time reasonably. For instance, I would do house work when he was at home and I would study the Fa and practice when he was away, or I would finish my practice before he got up in the morning. However, this situation still seriously held me back from making quick progress in my cultivation.

After calming down and looking inside, I found my problem: that I had too much passion and my righteous thoughts were not strong enough. After that, I studied the Fa more openly and with dignity. My husband was not happy to see it. Then, I sent forth righteous thoughts to get rid of the bad elements behind him. As long as I sent forth righteous thoughts, he would interfere with me. Once he came again to interfere with me, and I asked the thing behind him, "Do you dare to undermine the Fa?" At that very moment, my husband walked away. From that time on, I have been able to study the Fa and practice openly and with dignity. On our path of cultivation, we really need to step out of an everyday people's mentality in order for Dafa's mighty power to manifest before our eyes.

(Clearwisdom.net) I have experienced cruel persecution six times. Under Teacher's compassionate protection, I have broken through difficulties one after another. I will believe in Teacher forever. I will do the three things well. Below are some of my recent experiences.

On December 25, 2004, at 8 p.m., a fellow practitioner and I posted and distributed truth clarifying materials at a place 20 kilometers away from the city. The police caught us and took us to the police station. They bound my hand to the chair's arm using handcuffs. I refused to answer any of their questions and I solemnly asserted that their arrest was illegal. Falun Gong has taught us to be good people, which is beneficial to both the country and the people. We practitioners are innocent.

The head of the police station punched and kicked us. I sent righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil factors behind him and I said, "For you to beat me, means to beat yourself." As soon as my righteous thoughts came out, he was frightened and pale faced, and drew back his hands. He did not dare to beat me anymore. After that he did not dare to come close to me. Perhaps the evil factors behind him were afraid of being eliminated. Just like Teacher said, "However strong the righteous thoughts are, that's how great the power is." On the second day, the police asked me to sign the prepared materials, which were a complete lie that the police fabricated, and I refused to sign them. Several policemen violently bound my legs to the sofa arms. They bound my left hand with the handcuffs, then four policemen firmly caught my right hand and pulled my forefinger. I resisted and cried out loudly, "Policemen extort confessions using force!" The policemen turned up the volume of the TV, so as not to let anyone hear my cries. The police even used keys to press on my right forefinger with full force. They made me not be able to resist, and I felt extreme pain. They forced me to press my fingerprints one after another. The four policemen holding me down were exhausted and sweat dripped down their faces.

The policemen brought the fabricated materials and escorted us to the No.1 detention center. On the second morning, policemen asked us why we were detained. I told them, "We were arrested because we disclosed the crimes of how Jiang Zemin persecutes Falun Gong. We can't be guilty of being good people. I did nothing wrong. I will not work for you in the detention center. If I work for you, it means that I am guilty." Because I had strong righteous thoughts, I did not do any work in the detention center. I did not do the morning drill, and I persisted in practicing the Falun Gong exercises, sending righteous thoughts, reciting the Fa, clarifying the truth, and eliminating the evil that attempts to destroy Dafa.

One morning while I was practicing the Falun Gong exercises, the superintendent of the detention center saw me practicing, not participating in the morning drills or working, and even taking a hunger strike. He said to me viciously, "If you still persist in doing things this way, I will use shackles to confine you." I was not scared at all and sent righteous thoughts toward him. He was frightened and did not dare to touch me again. After that, no policemen dared to prevent me from practicing the Falun Gong exercises.

Every day I persisted in practicing the exercises, studying the Fa, sending righteous thoughts, and eliminating the evil. A policeman begged me to do a little work for him. He said that nobody who came into the detention center dared to refuse to work. Even the family members who came to visit needed to work. I said, "I told you the first time you interrogated me that I am not a criminal. I will not join the work and will not cooperate with you. Why do you want me to work? Criminals need to work. I am innocent. What's wrong with practicing Falun Gong and being a good person?" The policemen could not help letting me go. From then on they did not mention the issue of work to me.

I told the police department that their evidence was fabricated and false, and that the fingerprints were obtained by pressing my fingers down by force and were therefore illegal. The Chinese Communist Party authorities not only refused to handle the case fairly, but also wanted to sentence me to two and a half years in a forced labor camp. During the few months I spent in the detention center, the persecution made me get high blood pressure and heart disease. The police saw that I had a serious illness and feared that I might die in jail, so they sent me to the Sanshui Labor Camp. Sanshui saw that I had a serious illness, so they refused to accept me, and sent me back to the detention center.

After one month of cruel torture, the police could do nothing. They feared that I might die in jail, so they released me for medical treatment. I broke through the evil persecution once again.

(Clearwisdom.net) I am a Taiwanese Dafa practitioner. This year I'm in Grade Three. When I was in Grade Two, I did something that was very bad. My heart hasn't settled down yet. Through studying the Fa and eliminating my attachments, I am finally admitting my mistake. The following is what I have learned:

When I was in the second grade, I was going to pool my money with my classmate to buy something together at the store. My classmate all of a sudden got greedy and wanted to steal it. At that time, all I thought was that it was going to be fun. Not only did I not stop my classmate, but I also collaborated with him to steal the toy we were going to buy together. With my deeper understanding of Master's Fa, I know I need to follow the principles of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." Although I was very regretful of what I had done, I never had the courage to admit my mistake. Through studying the Fa and practicing the exercises, I became more and more uncomfortable with what I had done. Every time I thought about it I would feel disturbed, so I worked up the courage and admitted my mistake to my mother.

What was unexpected was that my mother wasn't angry, but also encouraged me to make up for it. She wanted me to use my own allowance to compensate the loss incurred by the store. My mom only had one request. She said that it was because I studied Dafa that I understood that I was wrong. She said that I must validate the goodness of Dafa when I apologize to the head of the store.

Accompanied by my classmate, I worked up the courage and arrived at the store. Because I was afraid, I hurried through my explanation to the clerk, told her that I had stolen something, gave my compensation and left. I didn't explain that it was because I studied Dafa that I realized I was wrong to do it.

After I told my mom about my experience when I got home, she asked me, "Now do you feel better?" I replied, "I still feel a bit uneasy." Mom then replied, "It is because you didn't explain everything clearly. Your conscience still feels regret. Think clearly on what you should do."

I understand that I should be responsible for my own behavior. Again I worked up the courage to apologize to the lady at the store. I expressed everything clearly, and gave her a truth-clarifying flyer. Now I feel a lot better. I know that I have practiced "Truthfulness."

From now on, I will be a good child who will always practice "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance."

The former Bureau Chief of Wanyuan Police Station, Sichuan Province, receives karmic retribution

Hu Biran, former chief of the Wanyuan Police Station in Sichuan Province, followed the Jiang Zemin regime and the Chinese Communist Party to persecute Falun Gong practitioners from the outset on July 20, 1999. He directed his subordinates to illegally arrest and detain large numbers of practitioners and sent them to forced labor camps. He also directed his subordinates to assault practitioners and their family members, as well as ransacking their homes. As a result, many Falun Gong practitioners' families were torn apart, and their family members, including children, suffered greatly. Some of them were placed under surveillance for a long time, some became homeless and destitute, and others ended up with their families broken up and family members dead. There were even some that were driven to mental collapse.

However, Hu Biran soon reaped karmic retribution for his crimes. He became sick soon after the New Year in 2005, and was diagnosed with advanced esophageal cancer. He sought medical help everywhere but without avail. At present, he is hospitalized in Dazhou Hospital and unable to ingest any food.

The residential committee of Zhonghe Street, Longshui Town, Dazu County, Chongqing has been named a "progressive community" by the Chinese Communist Party. Since July 20, 1999, the committee's Communist Party secretary, its director and members have colluded with the local police and used surveillance, ransacking of homes, harassment and other tactics to persecute the practitioners in their jurisdiction. Secretary Xia Fucai and Director Li Guohua have been the most notable among the persecutors, sparing no effort in their vicious undertaking.

Xia Fucai, male, approximately 70 years old, has now contracted advanced pharyngo-laryngeal cancer. Li Guohua, female, is about 65 years old. After her husband suffered an abrupt cerebral hemorrhage, he became a quadriplegic. Recently, Li Guohua fell and injured her feet. She now walks with great difficulty.

1. [Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Jin Jinshan Tortured Fatally at the Dongning Detention Center of Heilongjiang Province

Mr. Jin Jinshan, a teacher at the No.3 Elementary School in Dongning County, Heilongjiang Province, was arrested on January 6, 2005. Later on April 30, the local court, instigated by the 610 Office, intended to sentence him. Since Mr. Jin Jinshan resisted the persecution by not pleading guilty, he was sent back to the Dongning Detention Center.

On May 12, the court secretly sentenced Jin to four years in prison. On May 18, Jin filed an appeal.

Because of the persecution and torture, Jin relapsed into tuberculosis, from which he was fully healed by practicing Falun Dafa. He can hardly eat. The Dongning County Hospital and the Mudanjiang No. 1 Hospital diagnosed him with contagious tuberculosis. This disease threatens Jin's life. Jin has not been able to eat anything for over 30 days. He is emaciated.

On June 8, 2005, Mr. Li Xingcheng was illegally arrested at the Yuyang Bus Station, when he was on his way to work. Sources believe that Mr. Li is currently detained in the Nanzhao County Detention Center.

Mrs. Luo Qingshu, 70, is an employee of the Gansu Mineral Bureau. On February 20, 2005, she was arrested for clarifying the facts. Fellow practitioners said that police severely beat Luo.

4. [Ruichang City, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Xiao Shuimu and His Non-practitioner Relatives Arrested

Mr. Xiao Shuimu and wife Wang Dongjiao were arrested from their own home around noon on June 15, 2005. The Ruichang City Public Security Bureau arrested them for giving out truth-clarification materials. Xiao and Wang's son, who is not a practitioner, was arrested also for not letting the police take his parents away. Currently he is held at the Ruichang City Detention Center. Wang is held at the Ruichang City Labor Camp. Nonetheless, Xiao safely left the Ruichang City Public Security Bureau in the afternoon of June 15 with righteous thoughts.

5. [Henan Province] Ms. Wang Haomei and Guo Qingling Arrested by the Huaiyang 610 Office

At 5:30 p.m. on June 18, 2005, eight officers from the Huaiyang 610 Office broke into Ms. Wang Haomei's home in Louqian Subdivision of the Shishuo Luji Administration Village, Lutai Town, Huaiyang County. The police arrested Ms. Wang Haomei and Guo Qingling and beat Guo Qingling on the spot.

Mr. Hu Huimin, 64, lived in Wuhan City. His son Mr. Hu Zhiqian, a practitioner, was arrested for distributing truth-clarification materials with fellow practitioners on January 3, 2003. Mr. Hu was sentenced to prison terms in the Qinduankou Jail in Hanyan. Huimin filed an appeal to the Wuhan City Judicial Department and Court. At 11:00 a.m. on June 2, 2005, police from the Qiaokou District Public Security Bureau arrested Huimin.

On June 13, 2005 Mr. Zhou Lianghua was illegally arrested by Wang Kanyun, the deputy commissioner of the Education Bureau, and Jiang Xuehua from the 610 Office. The police forbade Zhou's coworkers to inform his family.

Wang Wenqiong, a police officer, has arrested at least 8 practitioners and sent them to labor camps. Another officer, Jin Wusheng, has also actively contributed to persecuting Falun Gong.

Mr. Liang Tielong and his wife were sentenced to long prison terms after their arrest on September 18, 2004. Police tortured Mr. Liang and beat his wife, causing her to have a miscarriage. Due to the trauma of the persecution Mr. Liang's mother, Zhao Airong, collapsed and has been hospitalized for over two weeks.

17. [Hunan Province] Hengyang County 610 Office Sentenced Mr. Dai and His Son

Around 10 p.m. on May 30, 2005 Dai Minjun and Dai Minjian, the two government employees of Fuxing Village of Goulou Town, led many officers from the Hengyang County 610 Office and the National Security Team to break into Mr. Dai Kuisong and Mr. Dai Guohe's home and arrested both of them. Kuisong is Guohe's father. The police also ransacked their home. The police sent the father and son directly to a forced labor camp in Xiangxiang. Like most illegally imprisoned Falun Dafa practitioners, they were not given due process of the law.

(Clearwisdom.net) A "solemn declaration" is a person's public statement declaring to the world that whatever he or she has done or said under duress or deception that was against Falun Dafa is null and void. Most of these statements have come from Falun Dafa practitioners in China who wished to express regret that, in the face of physical torture and brainwashing, they had signed documents renouncing Dafa and guaranteeing not to practice again. Also, as more and more people in China learn the truth about how they have been deceived and lied to by the Jiang regime, many non-practitioners are also submitting "solemn declarations."

1. Brother and Sister Li Xuede and Li Xueling Abducted and Prosecuted in Shuangta Township, Minquan County, Henan Province

Based on reliable information received on June 8, 2005, it was learned that Falun Dafa practitioners Li Xuede and Li Xueling from Shuangta Township, Minquan County, Henan Province, had been seized by government officials. After several months of confinement, they were subjected to prosecution. Li Xuede was sentenced to five years in prison, he is currently incarcerated at the Xinmi prison; Li Xueling was sentenced to three years in prison, she is currently incarcerated at the Fifth Xinxiang Women's Prison.

2. Policemen Shao Li and Yi Hongjun, Along With Unnamed Henchmen, Still Committing Crimes in Gucheng City, Hebei Province

Since February 2005, books and compact discs of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party have spread throughout Gucheng City, Hebei Province, as well as many surrounding villages. This provoked fear in the local 610 Office and also amongst evil policemen all over Gucheng City. On February 1, 2005, policemen Shao Li, Yi Hongjun and collaborators abducted Su Yingxin from Suzhuang Village, Fangzhuang Township, Gucheng City. In March, those policemen also seized both Su Xiuhui from Majuncai village, and Falun Dafa practitioner Bai Zhihong from Huoju Township, Jingxian County. On approximately May 30, policemen unsuccessfully attempted to capture Falun Dafa practitioner Wang Jianping. On June 7, they did succeed at abducting Zhang Jinsheng to the police station, where they proceeded to brutally torture him.

1. Tianshui City Third Prison Guards Brutally Torture Practitioner Mr. Wang Yongming in Gansu Province.

The types of tortures used in the Tianshui Third Prison are particularly cruel and savage. Since March 2005 Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Yongming has been brutally tortured because he resisted the persecution. At one time six prison guards put handcuffs and ankle shackles on him and used three and four electric batons, each with 300 kilowatts voltage, to shock him. Guards even stuck the batons into his mouth, shocked his tongue, his teeth, his head, neck and hands. During the nights, guards encouraged prisoners in the same cell unit to torture him, to not allow him to sleep, and to force him to stand still without touching the wall. As soon as he fell asleep, the prisoners would scream and threaten him. Mr. Wang Yongming was tortured like this for five entire days. Mr. Wang was already in extreme pain from the electric baton shocks, but the guards still encouraged prisoners to beat him; to kick his handcuffs, which cut into his wrists; and to punch him in the chest, making it painful for him to breathe. Prisoners held him up against a wall by his clothes and beat him with their fists. All of this was because Mr. Wang refused to give up his faith in Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance. He was inhumanly tortured by being locked in solitary confinement for 50 days, where he had to sleep on the floor more than half the time. He was not allowed visits from his family, and all contact with the outside world was cut off.

2. Baoding City Officials Mistreat Farmer Practitioners in Busy Season

On the morning of June 13, 2005, around 11 a.m., officials from Baoding City suddenly broke into Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Tang Huifang's home in Mingyi Township, Laishui County, Hebei Province. They ransacked the house and caused Ms. Tang to become destitute and homeless to avoid illegal arrest. The Mingyi Township Government officials have been actively involved in the persecution, arresting practitioners, ransacking their homes, and extorting money from them. Many practitioners have been sentenced to forced labor after being abducted. Practitioners Ms. Zhao Guo and Ms. Wang Suei are now locked up in the Baoding City Brainwashing Center after being abducted on May 10, 2005.

3. Policeman Wu Wei from the Luotaishanzhuang Brainwashing Center Cruelly Tortured Practitioner Ms. Shi Chunying

Practitioner Ms. Shi Chunying is in her 40s. She was twice sentenced to forced labor. The first time was for one year, served in October 1999 in the Fushun Forced Labor Camp and then later in the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. The second time she was reported when clarifying the truth and was sentenced to three years of forced labor. Once again she was sent to the Fushun Forced Labor Camp and then to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Ms. Shi often went on hunger strikes to protest the brutality and was force-fed many times. On the morning of April 6, 2005, Ms. Shi Chunying was in her older sister's home. Authorities broke into the house and arrested her. She was sent to the Luotaishanzhuang Brainwashing Center. Ms. Shi immediately began on a hunger strike without water to protest but was brutally force-fed by Wu Wei (male) for four days. Ms. Guo Fuxiang, in her 70s, is a Falun Dafa practitioner in Longkou City, Shandong Province. Because of her strong her faith in "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," she has been tortured by local officials, arrested, fined, beaten, cursed, and forced to remain for a long time in a half squat position.

Chen Fenggang (male) is the head of the Armed Police Division in Wuwei City, Gansu Province. He has extorted large amounts of money from practitioners and beaten them brutally. Below are some crimes for which he is directly responsible:
