Facts of the Persecution

From October 7 to November 14, the "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] of Wuhan City and Hewan Forced Labor Camp jointly introduced "Small Cells", and put between 6 and 10 Falun Gong practitioners in the "Small Cells" to conduct brainwashing. The policemen cuffed practitioners' both hands on window frames continuously for 3 to 5 days. No bathroom privileges or food was permitted. They also instructed criminal prisoners to beat practitioners who fell asleep. Falun Gong practitioners Wang Jinsong (senior doctor from the Wuhan 3rd Hospital), and Liu Xunchun (a graduate from Wuhan Industrial University) were persecuted very severely in the "Small Cells". However, they continue to hold a firm belief in Dafa.

Hehuaken Forced Labor Camp in Tangshan City is mainly used to detain Falun Gong practitioners from Tangshan, Qinhuangdao, Baodin, Chengde, Langfang, and Zhangjiakou areas. All of the Dafa practitioners went through the "Strictly Controlled Class." The policemen used such methods as tying practitioners to bed frames, brutal beating, prohibiting practitioners from using the bathroom, burning, covering practitioners with layers of cotton quilts, pouring liquids down tubes that are inserted in practitioners' noses. They often say, "We have the support of Jiang Zemin. We are afraid of nothing even if we beat you to death!" Policemen Wang Yulin and Shi Yucun killed a practitioner after torturing the practitioners with electric batons and ropes.

Since July 20, 1999, lawless officials from Daqin City Linyuan Oil Refinery Factory cooperated with the police to persecute employees who practice Falun Dafa. They abducted and detained practitioners, extorted money, forced brainwashing, abused practitioners mentally and physically, sent practitioners to labor camps and prisons. Dafa practitioners Zan Yinge, Du Juan, Huang Wenying, Du Guocong and others were persecuted in illegal detention and labor camps. Many practitioners including Zhang Guifang, Sun Jizhong, Li Wei, Li Shuyun were fined, arrested, forced to undergo brainwashing, brutally beaten, and extorted for money.
