Falun Gong practitioners in Hong Kong used their wisdom, benevolence, and righteous thoughts cultivated in Dafa to clarify the truth. They went to the major tourist sites, shopping centers, restaurants, hotels and other places to play truth-clarifying VCDs and Falun Dafa music. They also hung up Falun Dafa posters and distributed flyers. Practitioners answered questions from Mainland Chinese tourists, and at the same time they displayed truth-clarifying pictures.
After my home caught on fire, I looked inwards. After discussing the issue with my 15-year-old daughter, I went to tell the landlord that we would pay for all the losses caused by this fire. The landlord was moved to tears. The landlord, an old man, said, "I know you cultivate great benevolence and are all good people. Don't let the police take you and your daughter away, do you know the situation outside?"

Two elementary students declared that their signatures on the petition against Falun Gong, signed due to the school's deception, are now null and void, and they will never go against Falun Dafa. They also expressed that they will cherish this rare cultivation opportunity, genuinely cultivate with determined resolve, redouble their efforts to make up for the losses they caused to Dafa, expose the evil, clarify the truth to people, and become qualified Dafa particles.
The persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in Balizhuang Forced Labor Camp in Baoding City of Hebei Province include strip searches, more than 18 hours of forced labor daily, less than 30 minutes of eating time for three meals, reporting to prisoners before going to the restroom, denial of sleep, having scalding water poured onto their bodies, forced to squat down with their hands on their heads, and shocks with an electric baton applied below the ear and to the chest. They even handcuff practitioners to beds spread-eagled, with some practitioners being handcuffed in this way for up to 15 days.
Guards from Shouguang City Police Department and "610 Office," Shandong Province, recently performed several unconscionable acts. [The "610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] Starting on August 28, 2001, these lawless thugs illegally arrested Dafa practitioners by force and sent them to brainwashing classes. They employed brutal methods to abuse practitioners such as handcuffing them, denying them sleep and force-feeding them. Some practitioners were handcuffed to iron window bars or bedposts for as long as 20 days in a row.
In April 2001, practitioners Li Chunhai and his wife from Pingdu City were taken away by police and detained for one month. Police also ransacked their home, merely because they validated Dafa. After they suffered all kinds of torture in the detention center, Li's wife was sent to a forced labor camp, and Li was released "on bail awaiting further interrogation." On December 28, Mr. Li was again kidnapped, and his home was ransacked by police. Their 13-year-old child now has no one to take care of him.
A Dafa practitioner in Guangzhou City was illegally arrested and detained many times. His family, colleagues and friends were implicated and constantly harassed by police. On January 2, 2001, this practitioner was brutally beaten by four vicious police officers under the tower behind the Hero Monument in Tiananmen Square and later detained for 15 days. On the night of February 26, in rain and wind, he was seriously injured while escaping from a brainwashing class.
Lawless government officials and police officers in Hunan Province followed the "Human Right Scoundrel" Chinese dictator Jiang's orders to persecute Dafa practitioners and thereby brought disaster upon the local people. On January 14, eighteen people died in a mine accident in the Lengshuijiang area. Ever since September last year, over ten firecracker factory explosions took place in Hunan Province, resulting in more than 30 deaths. On January 5, 2002, a traffic accident occurred in Wangcheng County in which two vans crashed into each other. This accident resulted in serious injuries to more than 20 people.
Dafa Practitioner's Righteousness Scares Away Vicious Police: An older village couple in northeast China has an only daughter who practices Dafa. When police officers came to arrest her, her father became really angry, picked up a shovel and said, "Today, don't you even think about persecuting my daughter, otherwise I'll die to fight you off, if that's what it takes!" The three police officers were scared and ran away, and they have never come back.

Voice of America reported on February 7, 2002 that Human Rights Watch issued a report of 117 pages criticizing Chinese government for persecuting Falun Gong. The report details the violation of human rights that includes the suppression of freedom of faith and expression, illegal imprisonment and unjust prosecution, as well as deaths caused by torture during imprisonment. The report also documents the peaceful resistance of Falun Gong against the campaign of suppression.
The Chinese New Year Party in Toronto on January 30, 2002 attracted over 1,000 participants. Many people from China echoed "Falun Dafa is good!" after the party. A number of government officials sent their congratulatory letters. Some individuals who were not able to come to the party requested that the organizers invite them again in future. The person in charge of the facilities expressed interest in having practitioners use their venue again. After the party, a few employees of a major corporation inquired about the practice sites.
A number of practitioners in Australia have recently received threats over the phone form the Chinese Security Department. Most of these practitioners were asleep when the calls were made. The people who called said that they were agents from the Security Department in China. The state terrorism of Jiang's regime has extended their evil reach to Australia.
Cultivation Stories
The evil forces utilize school examinations to impose their malevolence on students. A young practitioner responded by writing three poems in his examination papers. He reiterated his faith in Dafa, thwarted the evil's attempts and appealed to the rationality of people who were ignorant about the truth of Dafa.
My Fa-rectification journey in Masanjia Labor Camp, Zhangshi Labor Camp and Shenxin Labor Camp. On August 11, 2001, I was released from the labor camp after persisting in a hunger strike for 11 days. I was so frail that I could not walk, and I weighed only 80 Jin (Translator's note: The Chinese system for weights, equivalent to approximately 106 pounds or 47 kilograms). An inmate took me in her arms and moved me out of the basement. After ten months of unimaginable torture and upholding my faith, I was at last able to leave the evil den.
One day in the summer of 2001, I was posting a flyer that read "Zhen-Shan-Ren (Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance)" on a light pole when a police van stopped by my side. Three policemen got out and wanted to force me into the van. I said to them, "Is there anything wrong with Zhen-Shan-Ren? Can't people just be good?" Later on, two more policemen came. I then started to clarify the truth to the five policemen and told them not to follow Jiang anymore. I then left with dignity.
Torture cannot move my heart. I clarified the truth to people I met in prison. I was deceived into going to the police department. The police suspended me from an iron window bar with my feet off the ground for over 5 hours. Policemen Gao and Yu tied my neck with thin wire cables and used two electric batons to shock my face, neck and armpits. My face was covered with blisters, and one could even smell my skin burning. Even many policemen felt indignant about Gao and Yu's atrocities.
The Fa-rectification story of a Shenyang female Dafa practitioner in Longshan Forced Labor Camp: This Dafa practitioner was subjected to various tortures. She was shocked with electric batons by the police until her hands swelled to about 10 cm long and her face was black and blue. She was not allowed to sleep and forced to squat. She was also forced to kneel on a pair of slippers. Wu Changjin even rode on her to see how much she could bear. She told her perpetrators benevolently, "I do not hate you for the abuse you have given me. However, I want to tell you that you are wrong."
On July 20, 2000, I took my 4-month-old baby son with me and went to Tiananmen Square. I saw that many practitioners had been beaten. The police asked me if I was a Dafa practitioner, and I replied, "Yes". Everyone can make breakthroughs in cultivation. As long as we are grounded in Dafa and trust Teacher, miracles will happen.
I was born in a poor family and received my bachelor's degree in the 1950's. At the beginning of 1997, my 90-year-old mother sent me a copy of Zhuan Falun. I saw the book shining with beautiful colors. I read through the whole book in one night and found that it was what I had been looking for. The book answered many of the questions that I had in my life.
