Exposing the slander by reporters from the Xinhua News Agency regarding Falun Gong's effect on healing illness:

Yan used to have purpura with decreasing primary platelets. She tried different treatments but all of them were ineffective. However, after she practiced Falun Gong, her illness was cured. On July 30, 1999, reporters of the Xinhua News Agency Wang Zhi and Wang Leiming wrote an article on Wenhui Bao, claiming that Yan received treatment in the Department of Blood-Related Illnesses of Nanfang Hospital and was discharged from the hospital after being cured. In fact, Yan was suspected of having uterus cancer, and she stayed in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics. The shameless reporters fabricated lies to deceive people.

People Who Have Seen the Truth

Several Stories:

A Dafa practitioner was forced to leave her home by the authorities. Her husband, a non-practitioner, made copies of truth-clarifying flyers that she had left behind. Whenever people came to his home, he showed them the Dafa-promoting pictures.

There was an elderly lady in a Neighborhood Community whose sister was a Dafa practitioner. Wearing an armband, she went on patrol every night. She often took the Dafa-promoting pictures with her and posted them up.

A Dafa disciple was detained in a brainwashing class. Her husband, a non-practitioner, told her, "Be sure not to write the letter of guarantee. You did not do anything bad, what should you guarantee?"

Before the 2001 Spring Festival, Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province officials ordered every township to send several Dafa practitioners to brainwashing classes. In one township, the Mayor and the Secretary of the Party Committee in that township had a disagreement on the assignment. The Mayor said, "I won't do those things because I will lose De (virtue) at the time of the Spring Festival." He had righteous thoughts and did not give his signature. On the other hand, the secretary was afflicted with serious illness twice after he proceeded with the assignment. He kept his illness a secret because he was afraid of what people would say--that he received karmic retribution.

There was an elderly lady in a township of Shuangcheng City. During the persecution of Falun Gong, she persuaded her son, who was an official of one county in the township, to return home. She said, "Come back home and raise cattle. One will incur a lot of sin and karma from doing damage to Dafa." The son listened to his mother and quit his position. He started to raise dairy cows and made a good living from it.

A Dafa disciple clarified the truth to a bike repairman in a township of Shuangcheng City. Upon hearing the truth, the repairman asked, "What can I do for Falun Gong?" The practitioner was very touched and said, "Falun Gong does not want anything from you, we only hope that you will always remember 'Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance'. It is good enough to know that Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa."

Latest News From China - 01/13/2002

150 people published solemn declarations stating that their past words and actions that resulted from high-pressure persecution and forced brainwashing, and that were negative to Dafa are completely void. They will cultivate Dafa with determination, try their best to make up for the losses they caused to Dafa, clarify the truth, eradicate the evil and become open and aboveboard Dafa disciples.

Vicious policemen at the male division of Hewan Forced Labor Camp in Wuhan City torture practitioners: they would mark out an area on the ground and force the practitioners to sit in it and not move. They don't release the practitioners even when their sentences expire. They don't allow family visits and encourage prisoners to brutally beat the practitioners.

Several Examples of Retribution for Evildoing

---Wang Jiafu is a government official of law and politics in Jiaodong Township in Haozhou City, Anhui Province. On June 8, 2001 [Chinese lunar calendar], he had a car accident while chasing practitioners and became paralyzed.

---Zhao, a vicious police officer at Wuhu Road Police Station in Hefei City, Anhui Province is extremely malicious. He often arrested and harassed practitioners. Recently, Zhao fell and broke his leg, forcing him to stay at home.

---Sun Yonghe, a policeman at Banshigou Police Station in Baishan City, arrested and persecuted practitioners by putting them into forced labor many times. This lawless policeman illegally sent many practitioners in Banshigou to forced labor camps. He received punishment and suddenly died in January 2002 at the age of 49.

---Liu Minggang, a teacher at Xiwang Elementary School in Anyue County, Sichuan Province showed his demon nature on December 23 when he slandered Dafa in class. On that same day, he had a car accident on his way home and broke three ribs.

Falun Dafa Overseas

Central News Agency reported on January 11: Because the Jiang regime continues to persecute Falun Gong practitioners, 15 Falun Gong practitioners have died in the past month in China, raising the death toll of practitioners to 343. During the past two days, thousands of Falun Gong practitioners protested against the persecution in front of Chinese Embassies and Consulates all over the world.

Practitioners in Germany keep clarifying the truth of Falun Gong to people from all walks of life. As a result, many people spoke out their support for Falun Gong. Some asked for more truth-clarifying materials and distributed them to their friends and relatives. A mayor requested the local Chinese government officials to release the detained Falun Gong practitioners while visiting China. A member of Congress wrote a letter to a newspaper and clarified the truth of Falun Gong.

A practitioner (gender unknown, whose spouse is Taiwanese) is currently being detained in China. The practitioner wrote a letter calling for unconditional release and for attention to his/her case. The practitioner was arrested on December 5, 2001 while distributing truth-clarifying fliers and is now detained in Xiancheng Police Station, Xian District, Liaoyuan City. The practitioner's health condition is very poor.

Australian artist Zhang Cuiying held exhibitions of her paintings at the end of November 2001, in six cities in Japan, including Tokyo and Osaka. She got strong support everywhere from local government and media. People expressed empathy to Falun Gong practitioners suffering from the persecution and offered their support.

Cultivation Stories

A few practitioners and I were kidnapped and put into the county jail when we were distributing truth-clarifying materials in October 2001. We steadfastly resisted the persecution of the evil and went on a hunger strike for 28 days. We were released later due to so-called health reasons.

I am describing some of my Dafa cultivation experiences. In my four years of practice, my xinxing [mind-nature] has been improving, and so has my health. Before practicing, I was very weak, but now I am entirely healthy and in great shape. In the past two years, I was kidnapped and taken to a brainwashing class, where I was twice hung from a high rail, with my feet off the ground, for several hours.
