Following activities in London's Chinatown by British practitioners in front of the British parliament, and a long SOS march, British practitioner Fan Yanyu started a 120-hour sit-in in front of the Chinese embassy on July 19. This activity, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm everyday, is held to commemorate the second anniversary of the persecution of Falun Gong.
After the recent astonishing tragedy at the Wanjia Labor Camp, news came that over 10 male practitioners were killed at Changlinzi Labor Camp, also in Heilongjiang Province. Meanwhile, police at Baiguo Town in Hubei province killed two male practitioners by dragging them to death at high-speed using motorcycles. Also at Baiguo Town, a practitioner was beaten to unconsciousness, and then burned to death. Jiang Zemin's regime of brutal persecution and killing of Falun Gong practitioners has escalated. Enraged at the extreme inhuman actions by the Jiang Zemin regime, London practitioner Fan Yanyu decided to sit-in in front of the Chinese embassy to strongly request the Chinese government to immediately stop the Jiang Zemin regime's brutal crimes. This is also to call on kindly people in the society to take urgent action to end the killing, and rescue persecuted Falun Gong practitioners in China.
On July 19, the first day of the sit-in, there was strong wind and heavy rain in front of the Chinese embassy. Dafa practitioners, who stood still in spite of the harsh wind and rain, impressed the vehicular traffic and pedestrians. They were moved and expressed their support. Some people even stopped their car and asked for Dafa materials.
