1. [Laiwu City, Shandong Province] None of the Seventy Thousand People From Laiwu Steel Company has Earned "Black Heart Money"

The evil people from Laiwu Steel Company who are controlled by the old forces, have brutally persecuted Dafa practitioners since 1999. To date, 4 practitioners have been sent to labor camps, 33 have been illegally detained, 9 have received Public Security Punishment, 36 have been fined, each over 5000 Yuan (The average monthly income of an urban worker is 500 Yuan), 13 were laid off from their jobs (2 were watched closely by the police), 11 became destitute and homeless, and 16 were illegally sent to the notorious Wangcun Labor Camp.

In October, some evil people notified all company staff that a general order would be sent to police stations to arrest all practitioners at large. They offered a reward of 10,000 to 30,000 Yuan to entice people to cooperate with them to do evil deeds and to directly do harm to Dafa in a vain attempt to ruin people. But many kind-hearted people helped practitioners by distributing truth-clarifying literature, donating money or useful items, and providing transportation. Some people were even illegally detained for hiding practitioners. Not one of seventy thousand people in the company cooperated with the evil to earn "Black Heart Money". On the contrary, people are more and more clear about all manner of crimes committed by the evil to persecute practitioners.

2. [Hebei Province] A Female Practitioner Is Solid, Like Diamond

A practitioner (female) was transferred from Kaiping Labor Camp of Tangshan City to Shijiazhuang Labor Camp. Later on she was delivered to Gaoyang Labor Camp of Hebei Province. Wherever she was, she showed the diamond-like solidity of a Dafa particle.

In Kaiping Labor Camp, she resisted the evil's persecution and held firmly to the Truth. She was the first one to go on a hunger strike. Her actions effectively suffocated the evil, shocked the wicked people, and caused the practitioners' holistic improvement.

In Shijiazhuang Labor Camp, not moved by the evil's high-pressure tactics, she insisted on practicing Falun Gong. For this she was kept handcuffed in a washroom for three months. There she couldn't practice; so she shouted from the bottom of her heart, "Falun Dafa is good! Falun Dafa is the righteous way!" Wicked police threatened that if she shouted out again, they would plug up her mouth with a dust cloth covered in excrement. She remained undeterred. For a long time, her eyes were covered and her mouth was plugged. She was beaten many times. She even received electric shocks.

Afterwards she was delivered to the even more vicious den of monsters--Gaoyang Labor Camp. For many days, she was beaten, shocked with jolts of electricity, forced to squat on the ground with her hands cuffed together, and not allowed to sleep. In spite of such torture she still didn't give in. She continued to practice, recited scriptures, and went on a hunger strike to resist the evil. Again the wicked people utilized many ways to torture her such as, beatings, shocking with electricity, filling her mouth with excrement and urine, calling on betrayers to beat her in a group. Nothing took effect so they beat her half to death. She was dragged outside and was separately monitored.

To date, the practitioner is still illegally detained in Gaoyang Labor Camp. She wouldn't write the so-called "statements of repentance" to give up Falun Dafa. She is firmly practicing Dafa and safeguarding Dafa with her life.

3. [China] Getting Out of the Den of Monsters Using a Righteous Mind

Before October 1, 2001 (National Day), a brainwashing class was held in our county. To arrest practitioners and to send them to the brainwashing class, police used two police vans to chase a practitioner. After a while, police caught the practitioner and tried to force him into the van. He refused to get into the van, but clarified the truth to a crowd of onlookers for over 10 minutes instead. Police pushed him into the van forcefully. The next day the practitioner was illegally detained in the city's labor camp.

The practitioner used his righteous mind to eliminate the evil and rectify the Fa. From the first day in the labor camp, he went on a hunger strike (no food and no water), which he kept up for 9 days and nights. Afraid that his life was in danger, the labor camp released him. His righteous mind eradicated the persecution imposed by the evil. He walked out of a den of monsters with dignity and returned to the Fa-rectification.

4. [Hebei Province] Eight Practitioners Safely Return Home After Rectifying the Fa in Beijing

Eight female practitioners from Hebei province went to Beijing to rectify the Fa prior to October 1. Four of them returned the same day. Three returned the next day. Another practitioner was sent to Changpin Detention Center. She would not cooperate with the evil and went on a hunger strike for 6 days and was released later. She returned home safely.

5. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Changchun Police Are Using Even More Excruciating Forms of Torture

Changchun Police are finding even more excruciating ways to torture practitioners. They use various approaches to torture practitioners in order to force them to give up and betray others. Some of the methods they use include heavily punishing practitioners, prohibiting them from sleeping for long periods of time, devastating them with drugs, changing detention centers, changing inquisitors frequently, and keeping them in detention for long periods of time. But Dafa practitioners remain unchangeable.

6. [Tianjing City] Jiangdulu Police: Protectors or Robbers?

Two practitioners Li Xiwang (male) and Chen Liyan (female) from Hebei region were firmly practicing Dafa. Because of a betrayer's report, police broke into their home.

Li Xiwang was deceived into going to the police station by the Hedong police. He is still being held illegally. Family members aren't allowed to visit him. His wife was forced to leave home and has become destitute. Neither can care for their 4 year old child. The wicked police of the Changzhoudao police station confiscated all the valuables from the couple's home including a computer, sound box, electric gate mirror, and a cellular phone. The value of these items exceeded 10,000 Yuan. After ransacking the room, a police officer shamelessly said, " Nothing valuable was left in the home".

In this way a good family was torn apart. Police won't give up; they often patrol around Li's home. They even harass Li's relatives in their homes.

7. [Beijing City] Stern Notice to Criminals at the Beijing Huairou Detention Center

The Director of Beijing's Huairou Detention Center wildly beat a female practitioner while he was drunk. He fiercely kicked the practitioner with his boots. He kicked her so viciously that his boot was torn. As a result, the practitioner's right eye and the right side of her face became grossly swollen and her eye socket was purple. One of her legs was visibly swollen, causing her to limp.

A female officer at this detention center with the surname Teng is so vicious that she calls on male officers to beat practitioners. A male officer told a practitioner: "I can beat you to death; you would be just a no-name corpse."

8. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Police Intend to Round-up Homeless Practitioners In the Near Future

A reliable source reported that, directed by Yantai 610 office (an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems), police intended to madly round-up homeless practitioners in the near future. For this event, police plan to muster approximately 100 more police to round-up practitioners in the Zhipi region, Xingfu area for one month.

The key criminals of theYantai 610 Office that persecute practitioners are Wang Jian and Zhanh Jian.

9. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Recent Cases of Persecution of Falun Dafa Practitioners

Recently, the Hegang police have increased their numbers to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners, hiring more than 500 new officers to patrol the streets day and night. They are also demanding one Yuan per month from every family in the name of "insuring the peace of the common people" to cover their expenses. However, what they are doing is helping a tyrant to do evil. We hope that fellow practitioners in Hegang City will watch for their safety.

According to reports, the Hegang police have assigned personnel around mailboxes to watch people sending out their mail. By doing so, they intend to persecute practitioners who use mail to clarify the truth. We hope that local fellow practitioners will be careful and eliminate the evil with righteous thoughts.

Recently, fellow practitioners in Hegong City have been continuously arrested, and the police have ransacked many practitioners' homes. A female practitioner was recently arrested after having her home ransacked, and her whereabouts are unknown. We hope that fellow practitioners will watch for their safety.

10. [Mianyang City, Sichuan Province] Leshan Area Practitioner Detained

Li Ronglai was recently sent to the Xinhua Labor Camp in Mianyang City, where he is being kept under tight watch.

11. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Experiences in the Visitation Room of the Heizuizi Female Labor Camp

On a visitation room window at the Heizuizi Female Labor Camp, there is a banner slandering the founder of Falun Gong. Anyone who comes to visit his or her relatives has to read it aloud, or the visit is denied. The visitation room is overseen by the director of the labor camp and a captain with the last name of Zhang. Their evil deeds are greatly detested by the visitors.

At the end of October 2001, a family member came to visit a detained practitioner to bring him some clothing and other items. Because the visitor did not move quickly enough during Captain Zhang's inspection, Zhang shouted at him angrily. Zhang used this as an excuse to stop the relative from visiting for two months.

12. [Liaohua City, Liaoning Province] Local Practitioner Illegally Arrested and Detained.

Shang Zhijie, Secretary of the Political and Judiciary Committee of Hongwei District in Liaohua City, began a brainwashing class in conjunction with the Liaohua Gongnong Police Station. Practitioners Hua Yujie and his wife were forced to abandon their home in order to avoid the persecution, but the local officials are still hounding them. Shang Zhijie and others have gone to Jinzhou several times to harass Hua Yujie's parents and other relatives. They cut off the couples' pension without going through any legal procedures. This was the main source of income for the family of three. They now rely on Hua Yujie to perform manual labor to eke out a living.

The Political and Judiciary Committee of Hongwei District in Liaohua was relentless in their pursuit of Hua Yujie, sending out people five times to seize him. On the afternoon of October 29, Shang Zhijie and another policeman came to Hua's workplace in Jinzhou City and brought him back to Liaohua. They sent him to a detention center the next day. After finding out, Hua's relatives took a train to Liaohua and went to the police station. They asked the officials what law Hua broke to warrant his arrest and detention. The officials replied, "Hua Yujie left home. He did not cooperate with us and impeded our work. That's why he was sent to the detention center." The police chief said, "Go anywhere you'd like to appeal, it will be pointless."

13. [Jing County, Hebei Province] Local Officials Persecute Dafa Practitioners

I started cultivating Falun Dafa in 1998 and have since lived my life according to the principles of "Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance." Both my body and mind have been purified. After the persecution of Dafa began in 1999, I went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and to clarify the truth. As a result, I was sent to the Shijiazhuang Labor Camp. I would like to expose how these villainous labor camp officials persecuted Dafa practitioners.

Female practitioner Liu Tao, about 30 years old, is from Shijiazhuang city. Because she refused to write a pledge renouncing Falun Gong, the guards denied her sleep for several consecutive days. The beat her, and also used the "tying the ropes" torture on her. During the torture, they taped her mouth shut to keep her from shouting out. (note: The guards tie up the practitioner with a thin rope, circle the rope around the neck, and tie the hands behind his back. Then they would use all the force they could muster to tighten the rope. The rope becomes tighter and tighter around the body of the practitioner, making it more and more difficult for him to breathe. The pain is so intense that the practitioner sometimes loses control of his bladder. There are instances when the rope was tightened enough to break a practitioner's arm.)

Female practitioner Liu Aiying, about 50 years old, from Longhua City, Jing County, was beaten by the guards so badly that she could not sit down. The wounds went untreated and festered.

Male practitioner He Weicheng, over 50 years old, is from Shijiazhuang City. Male practitioner Gao Wei, over 30 years old, from Shen County, was the assistant magistrate of Wangjiajing County. They were both brutally beaten by several guards at once. The guards poured boiling water onto the practitioners' backs, and their scars are still vivid.

Male practitioner Liu Zongtong, 32 years old, is from Shijiazhuang City. He and Yu Baoyi from Zaoqiang County were both hung up by their handcuffs for an entire night and beaten badly.

Male practitioner Li Hongwen, about 40 years old, from Chengde City, was beaten so badly that he could not walk for several days.

Yang Lanqi from Longhua City was beaten by a guard named Han and two inmates for an entire morning. His face was swollen, and bruises covered his chest and back.

This is only a small part of the evil persecution going on at the Shijiazhuang Labor Camp.

14. [Jing County, Hebei Province] A List of Perpetrators at the Jing County Police Station

Zhao Mingguang, male, over 50 years old, and Li Guisheng, male, over 30 years old, are two evil members of the "610 Office" at the Jing County police station. They routinely use their position to extort money from Falun Gong practitioners. Yang Wenzhuang, the county police chief, will not release practitioners even when their terms of detention are up. He also uses his position to extort money from detained practitioners' relatives.

15. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Local Practitioners, Please Beware

Recently, many practitioners have been turned in and arrested for distributing Dafa truth clarifying literature. It has been reported that many police stations have established a system where the amount of a policeman's bonus is linked to the number of arrests. If the headcount is not enough, they will arrest people from their list of known Dafa practitioners. We hope that local Dafa practitioners will raise their vigilance and not give the evil a chance to succeed.
