South China Morning Post reported on December 27: At least 30 Falun Gong practitioners were removed from Beijing's Tiananmen Square yesterday after unfurling banners reading "Falun Gong is good".

One protester ran around shouting the slogan before plain-clothes police tackled him. Officers kicked the middle-aged protesters before carrying them to five waiting vans.

It is the second time members of the outlawed [group] have protested in Tiananmen Square this month. The first was December 10, when about 25 protesters were detained after staging demonstrations to coincide with World Human Rights Day.
