[Geneva] On the morning of November 11, two members of Falun Gong international human rights group were invited to attend a consultative meeting organized by Mary Robinson, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, before she visited China.

At the meeting, the Falun Gong representatives described the prosecution of Falun Gong in China, especially the various crimes committed by Jiang Zemin in his recently-escalated crack down on Falun Gong, which included the inhuman and cruel treatment of female Falun Gong practitioners in the Masanjia Labor Re-education Camp.

They also submitted to the commissioner detailed documentary and video evidence of the persecution. They urged the United Nations and the international community to aid in stopping the inhuman persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, who only seek to exercise their basic human rights. The Chinese government adopted a various means of persecution such as violent torture, forced treatment in psychiatric hospitals, and illegal detention.

The submitted documents included a list of the practitioners who were detained in jails, labor camps, and mental hospitals and a list of those practitioners who were killed while they were in the government's custody. Regarding her upcoming meeting with the Chinese government, the Falun Gong representatives requested that the commissioner ask China to release the illegally-detained practitioners (from the list), and point out the cruel treatment of Falun Gong followers by the Chinese government.

Regarding the ever-increased attention from the international society on the inhuman treatment of Falun Gong and its practitioners, it is highly recommended that Falun Gong practitioners in different countries let their governments know more about the truth of the Chinese government's prosecution of Falun Dafa and its practitioners. Let the voice of justice be heard and let the whole globe denounce Jiang Zemin for his evil crimes.
