(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 25 cities or counties in 10 provinces. In this report, 29 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 17 practitioners were illegally arrested.

Mr. Yang Jicheng was detained in the Dalian Forced Labor Camp. He was supposed to be released on June 7, 2009. However, the camp extended his term for 15 days, saying he would be released on June 22, 2009. When his family went to pick him up on June 22, 2009, they were told that the Dalian 610 Office had taken him to the Fushun Brainwashing Center.

At 7:00 p.m. on June 16, 2009, the elderly Ms. Yu Fenge, gave a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party to a man while she was clarifying the truth on the street. The man reported her to the Hantai District 610 Office. Ms. Yu was arrested by the Hantai National Security Team. At 10:00 p.m., Ms. Yu was released. Afterwards, her home was searched. The police took out a sentence statement saying that she was sentenced to two and a half years' forced labor and would serve the sentence outside the camp. Then the police forcibly grabbed her hand and pressed her fingerprint on the document.

Mr. Wang Peicheng from Laotongyu, Baoquan Town, was arrested because he went to Beijing to display a Falun Gong banner. He was detained in the Anqiu Detention Center. Now his whereabouts are unknown.

Mr. Wang Haiqing was sentenced to twelve years in prison last year. Because he was very weak as a result of torture, the Jinan Prison refused to accept him. Policeman Li Shenghua gave the prison 10,000 yuan and forced the prison to take Mr. Wang.

At 1:00 a.m. on June 17, 2009, Mr. Ning Fuhai was arrested by the Shan County National Security Team and the Zhuji Town Police Station. He is being detained in the Shan County Detention Center.

Before the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, Ms. He Suzhen and her husband, from Shenze County, Mr. Wang Zhipu, Mr. Lu Qing and Mr. Yang Zhiyun from Xinji City, were arrested by the Xinji National Security Team and the Nanzhiqiu Police Station. In April 2009, they were sentenced by the court. Recently, they each were sent to the Hebei Provincial Women's Prison and the Jidong Prison in Tangshan City, respectively.

At 4:00 a.m. on May 14, 2009, more than ten people from the Jixi National Security Team, the Jidong National Security Team and the Hada Police Station in Jidong, went to the home of Mr. Jiang Wenshang's mother-in-law and arrested Mr. Jiang. He is now being detained in the Jidong County Detention Center.

On June 1, 2009, police from the Pingliang National Security Team broke into the home of Mr. Liu Yaokui and took him away. He is being detained in the Qilidian Police Station or the Jiangjiagou Police Station in Pingliang City.

In 2000 and 2004, Mr. Liu Yaokui was detained in the Qilidian Detention Center in Pingliang City and the Honggu District Forced Labor Camp in Lanzhou City. The accumulated term was more than two years. In 2009, the 610 Office of the Gansu Province Politics and Law Committee went to search the home of Mr. Liu and took away Dafa books, Master Li's pictures and other truth-clarifying materials. At 10:00 a.m. on May 15, 2009, Mr. Liu was arrested by police. The police extorted 1,000 yuan in cash from him. He was released at that night.

On April 14, 2009, Duan Fabing and other policemen from the Qunli Town Police Station went to ransack the home of Mr. Zhang Shaoyang and Ms. Ou Congfang in Qunli Town, Pengxi County. They took away a book of Master Li's articles, one of Master Li's pictures and 1,000 yuan in cash.

On April 30, 2009, police from the Qunli Town Police Station went to search their home again and took the couple to the police station. The couple was "fined" 2,000 yuan.

On the morning of June 19, 2009, Ms. Wang Chunxiu and Ms. Wang Shuihua were arrested by police from the Yangan Police Station in Yangan Town, Qionglai City. The police searched their homes. They are now detained in the Qionglai Detention Center.

Mr. Yang Jun is a young Falun Dafa practitioner in Jingkou, Shapingba District, Chongqing City. On June 21, 2009, he was arrested by police because his parents, who did not know the truth about Falun Gong, reported him to the police.

At 1:00 p.m. on June 19, 2009, Ms. Zhao Defang was arrested by plainclothes police and security guards while she was explaining the facts about Falun Gong near Shuangnan.

Ms. Zhao Ping was an excellent teacher at the Guangzhou Police College. On April 15, 2008, she was arrested, and the Tianhe District Court sentenced her to three years in prison. Ms. Zhao Ping is now detained in the Guangdong Women's Prison.

On June 7, 2009, Ms. Yu Xiaohua and Ms. Hao Guiyun were reported and then arrested while they were clarifying facts about Falun Gong and distributing fliers. They were detained in the Anda Detention Center. The local police department decided to send them to a forced labor camp for two years. On June 19, 2009, Ms. Yu and Ms. Hao were sent to the Heilongjiang Provincial Drug Rehabilitation Camp.

Ms. Zhao Shuqin is from Chengdong Village, Boye County, Baoding City. She lives at Yunlong Place, Jiugong, Beijing City. On January 24, 2008, Ms. Zhao was taken away from her home by police from the Dongcheng Police Department in Beijing City. Since June 24, 2008, she has been detained in Masanjia Women's Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. Because she would not give up her belief, she was tortured by many means including being hung up by handcuffs, repeatedly slapped on the face, and shocked with electric batons. She has been tortured until she is now mentally unstable, however, the camp still refused to release her.

Mr. Zhu Zhihong has been detained in the Third Division of the First Sub-camp of Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. The guards tortured him around the clock. In the daytime, he was hung up or shocked with electric batons. In the nighttime, he was tied on a death bed.

On May 22, 2009, Ms. Han Ping was arrested and her home was searched. She was released after paying 6,000 yuan. On June 19, 2009, police from the Goumenzi Police Station broke into Ms. Han's home and took her away again.

On May 20, 2009, the chief of the Shuangyuehu Police Station, Luozhuang District, Linyi City, led people to go to the Luozhuang White China Factory and forcibly drove away the car belonging to Ms. Zhu Huifang, a non-practitioner who is married to practitioner Mr. Wang Yubo. The police grabbed the key to Mr. Wang Yubo's home and ransacked the home. They took away all Dafa books and other materials. The couple was also arrested.

On June 16, 2009, Ms. Zhou Shanhui and Ms. Zhang Cuixian were arrested by police from the Junle Township Police Station in Pengzhou City. Ms. Zhang Cuixian walked away with the help of kindhearted people. However, she has become homeless and destitute in order to avoid being arrested at home.

Ms. Chen Chengye, 39 years old, lives in Cuijialaozhuang, Shengcheng Street, Shouguang City. On July 9, 2008, she was taken to the Jianqiao Police Station in Shouguang City. And then she was detained in the Shouguang Detention Center for one month. Afterwards, the Shouguang Police Department sent her to the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp in Shandong Province for a one-year term.

Ms. Li Yuelan, 61 years old, lives in Xinzhuang Village, Shengcheng Street, Shouguang City. On July 9, 2008, she was taken to the Shouguang Detention Center. One month later, she was sent to the Jinan Women's Forced Labor Camp which is located on Shengshuiquan Road, Jinan City, Shandong Province for one-year's forced labor.

Ms. Li Qingzhen is 52 years old. On April 28, 2001, she was arrested by the Mingshui police while she was distributing fliers about Falun Gong in Mingshui County. She was sentenced to 7 years in prison. After being detained in the Mingshui Detention Center for 11 months, Ms. Li was transferred to the Harbin Women's Prison and was detained there for more than six years.

At 4:00 p.m. on May 11, 2009, six or seven policemen broke into the home of Ms. Gan Huiling and tried to force her to write a statement giving up practicing Falun Gong. However, she refused to do so. The police took away about 25 Dafa books and intended to take her away as well but Ms. Gan managed to walk away with righteous thoughts.

Ms. Sun Haozhi lives in Baojiabo Village, Gaoling Town, Mouping District, Yantai City. On June 15, 2009, she was arrested by the Gaoling Police Station. She is now detained in the Mouping District Detention Center.

Ms. Zuo Lizhi is a teacher at the Dayushubao Town High School in Yi County. She was sentenced to five years in prison by the Jinzhou Intermediate Court and the Yi County Court. Currently, she is being detained in the Liaoning Province Women's Prison.

Ms. Sun Linghua was a judge of the Yi County Court. She was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison and has been detained in the elderly, ill and disabled division of the Liaoning Province Women's Prison for over six years.

Currently, the following Falun Gong practitioners from Yi County are being detained in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Liaoning Province: Mr. Liu Cheng, Mr. Xu Shaogang, Mr. Xu Zhihua, Ms. Tian Baoli, Ms. Fan Baorong, Ms. Cui Fengying and Ms. Cui Guohua.

Ms. Cui Guohua, over 50 years old, was beaten by You Ran, the head of the Second Team, because she did not wear her name tag on Falun Dafa Day. You Ran slammed Ms. Cui's head against wall, causing severe injury to her head.

On June 19, 2009, Ms. Chen Jinxiu, 50 years old, was arrested by the police department and the 610 Office while she was clarifying facts about Falun Gong in Zhusha. Currently, she is being detained in the Jiayu Detention Center.

At 2:00 p.m. on June 18, 2009, Mr. Zhao Benyong from Tongchun District, Dazhou City, was arrested by police from the local 610 Office, the National Security Team and the local police station. Mr. Zhao's office and home were also searched. The police even took away a computer his daughter uses for study. Now Mr. Zhao is being detained in the Dazhou Brainwashing Center.
