Whereas, Divine Performing Arts (DPA) presents the true cultural heritage of traditional China, seeking to produce an art that is not only rich, relevant and inspiring, but also one that offers audiences of all ages a rare experience of consummate beauty and goodness; and,

Whereas, DPA brings a collaboration of leading artists, the world's foremost classically trained Chinese dancers, choreographers, musicians, and vocalists; and,

Whereas, DPA brings China's celebrated past to life in a lavishly colorful and exhilarating show, masterfully choreographed ranges from grand imperial processions to legions of thunderous drums, with gorgeously costumed dancers moving in stunning synchronized patterns; and,

Whereas, DPA 2008 world tour has staged its traditional Chinese theatrical performances in sixty-six (66) cities, on four (4) continents, 215 times for an estimated 600,000 total viewers, making it the largest world-class Chinese performance tour in the world; and,

Whereas, we are thankful for Southern USA Falun Dafa Association's efforts to bring the Divine Performing Arts to Tulsa and perform at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center;

Now, Therefore, I, Kathy Taylor, Mayor of the City of Tulsa, do hereby proclaim March 18, 2009, as

"The Divine Performing Arts Day"

in the City of Tulsa

In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the City of Tulsa to be affixed on the third day of March, Two Thousand Nine.
