(Clearwisdom.net) Shen Yun Performing Arts completed its last of seven shows in Taichung, Taiwan, on March 8. During its five-day run, more than 25,000 people saw the show.

Many of them were moved to tears and said the dances, music, and the costumes were very beautiful. They also praised Shen Yun for inspiring them. Among the audience members were overseas Chinese from Hong Kong, Thailand, and Malaysia, as well as mainland Chinese women who came to Taiwan though marriage.

These mainland brides are described as "new immigrants" in Taiwan. After watching the show, they were very much moved by the authenticity of the traditional Chinese culture displayed by Shen Yun and hoped they would have the opportunity to see it again next year.

Several brides from different parts of China were very happy to sit together. They exchanged greetings and inquired about the Mainland brides that did not come to the show. They were very excited about the performance and reacted warmly: "Oh, how beautiful the show is!" They whispered their impressions and clapped at the end of each program. During the intermission, they were chatting with excitement. Most of them liked "The Udumbara Bloom" dance.

Shen Yun reminded them of their hometowns. "I think watching the programs makes me feel as if I have returned to my hometown. I can feel the affection among the family members in the performance," said Ms Liu from Hunan Province. "The introductions by the Masters of Ceremonies touched my heart. Their accent is similar to ours-- Mainland Chinese. Their appearance also give me a feeling of closeness." It wasn't just the accent but also the manifestation of traditional Chinese culture as well as the legendary stories that led Ms. Yan to a similar feeling: "It's a bit classical, a taste of my hometown. That's why I said it made me miss my home."

Beside inspiring hometown memories, the exquisiteness of the programs also touched them. "I was very much moved by the dances. I think their performances are superb," Ms. Liu said. She liked "The Poet's Vision," which showed the poet Li Bai drinking wine alone and writing a very moving poem after watching the graceful dance of the fairies. Ms. Liu said she liked that poem very much. She liked "Heaven Awaits Us Despite Persecution" the most. She said that watching the little girl and her mother cry after the male lead died as a result of the persecution made her feel very sad. Another lady shared the same sentiment. She said she had not suffered from any persecution herself, but she could feel the sentiments of the performers, especially the sadness of the little girl. She said she could relate because she had children herself.

Ms. Zeng from Hainan Province said she liked the dance "Mulan Joins the Battle" the best. She said, "The story of Mulan is a very well-known folk story in China." She said the program made her miss her hometown. She praised the Shen Yun's dancers for their superb skills. She described the female dancers as extremely soft and elegant and the male dancers as very powerful. Ms. Zeng said the whole Shen Yun show was rich in content and filled with artistry. She said the singing of alto Yang Jiansheng impressed her deeply: "Her voice is very good and very unique."

A middle-aged lady was very excited about the Shen Yun Show. She was married to a Taiwanese man and settled down in Taiwan about five or six years ago. She accompanied her husband to the show. She was a bit nervous when to answer questions. "Is this the Buddha Fa? In China, we are not allowed to talk about it." She turned to her husband, looking a little worried. Her husband hinted to her that it was all right to talk about it in Taiwan. She was relieved and continued to say, "While watching the Shen Yun programs I was deeply touched and felt the mercy of the Buddha Law!" The lady realized that she had been deceived by the lies of the Chinese Communist Party. She learned the reason why the Shen Yun show could not go to China to perform. After learning the truth, she left with her husband very much relaxed.

Though they only said a few words, you could feel their joy in their expressions and honest words. Miss Yan said, "I hope I can come to see the show next year!"
