In the latest persecution cases in Qingdao City, Shandong Province, Ms. Lu Xueqin was beaten so badly by police that she developed severe thrombosis and lower body paralysis.
Those who refused to renounce the practice of Falun Gong were severely beaten and shocked by guards in the forced labor camp.
Mr. Xu Dawei was holding up fairly well after seven years in prison, but in February, 2009 when he was released after the eighth year, he was in terrible condition and died within two weeks.
