Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Yang Jianpo from Langfang City, Hebei Province Force-Fed Eight Times a Day, Prison Doctor Says He Could Die At Any Time

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Yang Jianpo from Langfang City, Hebei Province was illegally arrested on February 5, 2006. The arresting officers were from the Guangyang District National Security Division. Immediately after the arrest, Mr. Yang went on a hunger strike that has lasted 18 months. Currently, doctor(s) at the Central Hospital's Internal Medicine Section of the Jidong Prison Division 4 are force-feeding him eight times a day. Yang Jianpo can no longer take care of himself and breathes through a ventilator. A prison doctor said he could die at any moment. The hospital authorities are waiting for higher officials to give orders to disconnect all life support.

Ms. Li Hongping Tortured and Coerced Into a Confession by Police in Lanzhou City, Gansu Province

On May 14, 2007, four police officers went to the Lintao Street Garage where she worked, and arrested her. That same night, Ms. Li was tortured and coerced into a confession. Five Falun Gong Practitioners from Hubei, Shangdong, Guangdong, Jilin and Hunan Provinces Pass Away as a Result of the Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Tao Shouzhen, 68, is a Falun Gong practitioner and a retired teacher from Sheng Village in Xinzhou District of Wuhan City, Hubei Province. On April 7, 2000, she was illegally arrested by local authorities Qiu Yanjun and Chen Hanbo while on her way to Beijing to appeal for the good name of Falun Gong. She was illegally detained in Xinzhou Detention Center for several weeks. The detention center staff fined her three thousand yuan and gave her a blank piece of paper as a receipt. In July 2000, Chen Hanbo extorted one thousand, five hundred yuan from Ms. Tao's salary using the excuse of charging her for "living expenses."
