Liberty Times (Taiwan): Spectacular Performances, Pleasing Music, and Divine Beauty

(Clearwisdom.net) Taiwan's Liberty Times reported on March 29, 2007, that the "Divine Performing Arts" that is touring around the world and has received rave reviews has been invited to start this year's Asian tour. It is expected to be staged in Taiwan beginning April 7. The "Divine Performing Arts" is composed of 62 outstanding Chinese artists, including contemporary top-class Chinese artistic tenor Guan Guimin; alto vocalist Yang Jiansheng, the only Chinese alto among seven famous altos mentioned on Wikipedia; soprano singer Bai Xue; renowned erhu (Chinese violin) soloist Qi Xiaochun; and professional ballet dancer and choreographer Vina Lee.

(Clearwisdom.net) Brutal torture by guards and inmates at Beijing Women's Forced Labor Camp caused Beijing Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Lianying to suffer a massive brain hemorrhage. Through emergency treatment at Renhe Hospital in Daxing District, Beijing, she narrowly escaped death. She has regained consciousness, although she is still in critical condition. The Communist Party Secretary of Changchun City No. 52 Middle School Severely Persecutes the Teachers Who Practice Falun Gong

(Clearwisdom.net) Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started the persecution of Falun Gong, there were several teachers in the Changchun City No. 52 Middle School who have suffered due to their beliefs. Their homes were ransacked. They were illegally arrested, severely tortured, sentenced to forced labor, etc. Since they did not write the "guarantee statement" (promising not to practice Falun Gong), they were not allowed to teach. They could only do some miscellaneous work. They were watched and put under house arrest. They were even threatened with being sent to prison. The persecution has forced the teachers to leave their homes for several years in order to avoid further persecution. Their wages have been withheld by the school leaders. In the meantime, the Erdao District 610 Office, Erdao Police Station, the Education Bureau, and the school leaders have often led people to the teachers' homes to arrest them. They failed because the teachers had already left their homes to avoid being persecuted.
