Dafa Practitioner Du Shiliang from Hailing City Dies Under Suspicious Circumstances in Mudanjiang Prison
Ms. Zhao Tingyun from Xinxiang City, Henan Province Tortured to Death on Ninth Day in Police Custody
(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhao Tingyun
from Xinxiang City, Henan Province died on the ninth day of being
in police custody. On January 6, 2006, Zhao Tingyun went to the
home of practitioner Li Beiping near the Hongqi Hospital in
Xinxiang City. Police officers who were staking out Li Beiping's
home illegally arrested Ms.
Zhao and put her in custody. She held a hunger strike to protest
the persecution and was savagely force-fed. She died on the ninth
day of detention. The police reported that Ms. Zhao died around
5:00 a.m. on January 15.
Practitioner Ms. Liu Dan Tortured Nearly to Death and Illegally Sentenced to Four Years in Prison
(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Liu Dan, 30, is a Dafa practitioner
from Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province, and a graduate of Jiamusi
University. After she was illegally arrested on
October 24, 2005, she suffered all sorts of torture, became
critically ill twice and had to be sent to the hospital for
emergency rescue. All levels of the departments involved in
persecuting Ms. Liu feared being held responsible for her
situation. Instead, they sent her back to her family, where she was
monitored in shifts by more than ten police officers 24-hours a
day. On January 12, the police suddenly took Liu Dan to court for
an illegal trial, and alleged on the following day that Liu Dan had
been sentenced to four years of imprisonment, and would be sent to
Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison for further persecution on
January 16.
