San Francisco: Calling for an End to the Persecution in front of the Chinese Consulate on the Sixth Anniversary of the April 25 Appeal (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) In order to commemorate the sixth anniversary of the peaceful April 25 appeal in Beijing, some Falun Gong practitioners from the San Francisco area conducted an anti-torture exhibition and candlelight vigil in front of the Chinese Consulate in San Francisco on April 24, 2005. Practitioners called upon people from all walks of life to send out voices of justice and work together to stop the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by Jiang Zemin and the Chinese Communist Party.

Student Organization from California State University in Chico Passes Resolution against the Silencing of Falun Gong in China

(Clearwisdom.net) According to a report from the Orion Online, the online newspaper of California State University, Chico, on April 20, 2005, the Associated Students passed a resolution against the silencing of Falun Gong practitioners in China at the Government Affairs Council meeting Monday, April 18. Falun Gong practitioners practice meditation and exercise to achieve inner peace. The A.S. resolution will be distributed to local, state and national leaders to let them know Chico State does not support the Chinese restrictions on freedom. Similar resolutions have been passed at the University of California in Berkeley and San Jose State.
