The symbolic trial of Jiang Zemin began the rally. Then the host, Mr. Liu Song, gave a brief introduction about the founding of the Coalition. The Coalition has no political purpose or agenda; its goal is to unite all the forces of justice to expose Jiang's crimes and bring Jiang to justice. Anyone who wishes to support legal action against Jiang can be part of it. The Coalition appeals to all good people and concerned citizens throughout the world, and also intends to work with the United Nations to initiate a criminal tribunal against Jiang.

Mr. David Rubacek , spokesperson of the Global Coalition to Bring Jiang to Justice and Mr. Yan Zhihui read the English and Chinese version of the declaration "Establishing of The Global Coalition To Bring Jiang To Justice." The declaration pointed out that during the 13 year rule of Jiang Zemin, China's civilization and moral values had declined, and the foundation of human civilization had suffered. Anyone holding beliefs and individuality independent of the Party and those who had different opinions were persecuted to different degrees. The declaration also stated the importance of the Coalition to bring Jiang to Justice.

Mr. John Daly, on behalf of the organizations that joined the coalition, gave an introduction of the lawsuits against Jiang Zemin in different countries around the world. He said the countries in which lawsuits have been submitted to courts include the US, Belgium, Spain etc. Falun Gong practitioners in Australia and other countries are preparing to bring lawsuits against Jiang. In France, Finland, Armenia, several key persons who had assisted Jiang in the persecution such as 610 office head Luo Gan, and Li Lanqing had been sued.

Chin Jin, Chairman of The Federation for a Democratic China (FDC) Australian Division said at the rally, "In the new round of economic progress, China's moral values are sliding down rapidly. The appearance of Falun Gong is to save the people from completely falling into an abyss. Falun Gong practitioners stand aloof from the world and only to seek a pure ground to cultivate. Jiang set up the Gastapo-like 610 offices to brutally persecute Falun Gong practitioners and supressed them with genocidal measures."

Dr Songfa Liu, representative of the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong Australian Branch, Zhang Xiao Gang: Council member of the Federation for a Democratic China (FDC), Hang Ji Ren, Council member of the Chinese Alliance for Democracy (CAD) and Ms. Esther Global Committee to Rescue Persecuted Falun Gong Practitioners, Australian Branch also spoke at the rally respectively.

Presently 86 organizations from the continents of Europe, America, Asia and Australia have joined the Coalition to Bring Jiang to Justice. In Australia, the organizations joining the Coalition include Australian Peace Pen Association, Australia Wudang Qigong School, Federation for a Democratic China (FDC), Chinese Alliance for Democracy, Global Coalition Against Article 23 and of World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong Australian Branch, China Amnesty, etc.

Because Chinese President Hu Jintao will visit Australia soon, the rally of the Global Coalition to Bring Jiang to Justice attracted the attention of all circles. The major media, Sydney Morning Herald, The Australian, Epochtimes, Reuters, Sound of Hope and NTD TV, also attended and interviewed the Coalition organizers and other speakers at the rally.

Mr. Hang Jiren, Council member of the Chinese Alliance for Democracy, (CAD) said that he came to attend the rally on behalf of the Chinese Alliance for Democracy. Through the rally we want to tell the Chinese government that crimes committed by individuals will be prosecuted sooner or later. They could not shirk their personal liability. They should learn from other countries' mistakes, such as the former East Germany. When it collapsed, the ruler, the policy-makers and those carried out the orders were all held responsible. Therefore he hoped that Chinese leaders would soberly pay attention to this point. In the meantime, he came here to express that people's rights are higher than everything else. He believed that Chinese people have the right to care about their own country, and care about what happens in China. We must oppose all evil, this is each person's duty.

Chin Jin, Chairman of The Federation for a Democratic China (FDC), Australian Division, expressed that any Chinese with justice and conscience should participate in this activity to bring l Jiang Zemin to the court of morality and conscience. This is everybody's responsibility.
