When they arrested me, they handcuffed my hands to the back of a chair behind my back so I could neither sit down nor stand up. I was also beaten with a wooden stick and it was very painful; but my main consciousness remained very clear. I knew I would never cooperate with the evil's demands or anything that it instigated. At that time I did not know about sending forth righteous thoughts so in this difficult situation, I just didn't say anything. The result was that all of a sudden they stopped the beatings. Taxi Driver: "I Wouldn't Dare to Drive You There... Unless You're a Falun Gong Practitioner"

One day I wanted to travel to a rural area by taxi. Due to the location of this place it would mean that I would have to travel through some desolate places. The taxi drivers were afraid that the trip was unsafe since I wanted to travel outside of town and so a few taxi drivers declined my request for their services. Later when another taxi was approaching, I asked if the driver would like to take me there. He said, "The social security situation has been so bad recently. Who would dare to drive a customer to a place so far away from town? I wouldn't dare drive you there unless you are a Falun Gong practitioner." I told him that I truly am a practitioner. He looked at me for a while and then let me get in his car.
