What Are Supernormal Abilities

Supernormal abilities are also called divine powers. Contemporary people call them extraordinary abilities. Supernormal abilities are in fact beings' innate abilities. The higher a being's level, the more fully his innate abilities can take effect; conversely, the lower a being's level, the harder it is for his innate abilities to take effect, or to take full effect. The fundamental reason is that in this cosmos, from the highest level to the lowest level, the lower it gets, the higher the proportion of matter beings and everything in their particular realms have, the larger the particles' grains are, and the more weight beings carry--the lower it gets, the more the beings' innate abilities (supernormal abilities) are restrained by matter itself, and the more heavy this restraint, the less effective the abilities are.

[Minghui Net] On the morning of June 4, 2001, more than ten practitioners were taken away by the Shouguang police without any reason, when they were studying the Fa (Law and Principles) together in a practitioner' home in Majia Village (Shouguang city, Weifang area, Shandong Province). Some practitioners did not yield to the illegal request by the police, and refused to get in the van. Totally ignoring the criticism from the people gathered around, vicious policemen ripped off the practitioners' clothing and beat them brutally. These Dafa (Great Law and Principles) disciples were then forcibly brought to the Sunji Police Station and held outside under the hot, burning sun for an entire day. They were also cuffed and illegally interrogated and beaten cruelly. In the evening, all the practitioners were sent to the Shouguang Detention Center.

Dafa Practitioner Ding Gangzi Dies from Abuse While Detained

Ding Gangzi, male, 47, Zanhuang County, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei province

Dafa practitioner Ding Gangzi, male, 47 years old, was a resident of Chengguan Township in Zanhuang County of Shijiazhuang City, Hebei province. Since beginning to practice Dafa in 1997, he did everything according to the principles of "Truthfulness, Benevolence, and Forbearance," always helped others with a kind-heart, and never sought after fame or personal gain. He ran a bicycle repair shop by the roadside, providing the best services to his customers. In his spare time, he repaired the roads around his shop voluntarily. All his neighbors agree he was a very nice person. Yet, even such a nice person was persecuted after July 20, 1999. He was illegally detained 5 times, arrested at home without any legal warrants 3 times, and abused while being detained, which led to his death.
