(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 3 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 4 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Kuihua and Ms. Gong Jingyun Arrested
2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Fang Caixia Denied Visit with Her Son and Lawyer
3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Dongmei Arrested
1. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Ms. Gong Jingyun and Ms. Wang Kuihua Arrested
Ms. Gong Jingyun, around 60, was arrested by plainclothes officers on July 28, 2026, while walking on the street. She was taken to a local police station and transferred to the Linyi City Detention Center the next day.
Ms. Wang Kuihua was arrested by officers from the Jiepai Town Police Station on August 3, 2026, while working at an orchard.
2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Fang Caixia Denied Visit with Her Son and Lawyer
Ms. Fang Caixia was admitted to the Liaoning Province Second Women’s Prison on July 23, 2026, to serve a 3.5-year term. Her son and lawyer went to the prison on August 6, 2026 to visit her, but were turned away.
3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Dongmei Arrested
Ms. Li Dongmei was arrested on her way home on July 13, 2026. The police ransacked both her and her son’s homes, confiscating over 50 Falun Gong books and several hundred yuan worth of paper bills imprinted with information about Falun Gong. The police revealed that they had been monitoring her phone calls and daily activities since April 2026.
Ms. Li’s granddaughter, a minor, was also arrested on the same day and then released later that evening.
