“It’s Really Great That You Are Holding an Event in Linz’s City Center!”

(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners in Austria set up an information booth in Linz’s city center on July 11, 2026. They introduced Falun Dafa to passersby and talked to people about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution that has continued for 27 years.

One man said he had contemplated learning Falun Dafa three years ago, so when he saw practitioners demonstrating the exercises during this event he went over to learn from them. “It’s really great that you are holding an event in Linz’s city center!” he said.

The midsummer sun was brilliant and intense during the event, yet a gentle breeze occasionally wafted through the streets, reminding people that summer too has its own unique freshness. Many Austrians take vacations at this time of year, and spend time with their families. Having a relaxed state of mind, people were open to exploring new things and learning about the events that are unfolding in other corners of the world.

Many people were drawn to the peaceful exercise demonstration and said they felt the goodness of Falun Dafa. People also expressed sympathy for the Falun Dafa practitioners who are still being persecuted in China for their faith.

An Austrian woman said she wished to speak up for the innocent victims of the persecution. Being a devout Christian, she was stunned by the forced organ harvesting in China. She said that this reminded her of the plight of persecuted Christians around the world, who have also fallen victim to such crimes. She holds a very positive impression of Falun Dafa, appreciating its peaceful meditative practice and its principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. She said she was willing to do her part to help end the persecution in China.

A man said that he had heard about Falun Dafa in the past and was alarmed by the brutal persecution that practitioners are subjected to in China. He said that someone once told him that Falun Gong practitioners “want to seek political power,” but he said, “This has nothing to do with politics!”

A woman from the Middle East showed great interest in the Falun Dafa exercises. A practitioner told her about a small group that meets twice a week that she can join for free.

A new practitioner who started learning Falun Dafa recently came to the information booth for the first time. Seeing so many people volunteering to sign the petition to call for an end to the persecution, he was very touched. While he was at the booth, his colleagues and friends happened to come over, and he was able to personally introduce the practice to them and explain what has been happening in China. He said this opportunity made him feel deeply gratified.
