(Minghui.org) Sir Iain, senior Member of Parliament (MP) and former leader of the Conservative Party, presided over a forum on the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) forced organ harvesting which was held in the UK Parliament on July 8, 2026. Human rights lawyers, investigative reporters, and experts from Canada and the U.S. spoke at the forum and called on the UK and the international community to take action to help stop the human rights abuses.

Despite the hot weather that day, practitioners held activities on Parliament Square to support the forum. They set up banners, demonstrated the exercises, told people about Falun Gong, and raised awareness of the CCP’s persecution.

This was the first time some people had heard of Falun Gong and the CCP’s state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting. They read the displays and flyers, talked with practitioners, and signed petitions.
Dominic, a recent university graduate with a degree in Mathematics and Philosophy, accepted a flyer and said he would read it carefully and browse the Internet to learn more. He soon returned, and said, “If I can bring a little change to this issue, I should do it.”
He said practitioners are “Very peaceful and calm. This should be what a demonstration looks like, truly good.”
When he was told about Falun Gong’s guiding principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, he said these values were consistent with the UK society. “It’s hard for anyone to think these principles are not good. I completely agree.”
Freedom of Belief is an Innate Right
David Crisp, a pastor from East London, said he attended the forum in Parliament. He was impressed that the UK government and all circles of society were paying more attention to freedom of religion and belief in the UK and across the world.

He said he did not know about Falun Gong before, and was stunned when he heard about the CCP’s 27-year persecution. He knows the importance of upholding human indignity.
“No matter which country we live in or whatever religious beliefs we have, each one should have freedom of belief and innate human dignity,” he said.
“Our value lies not only in what we can do, but even more in who we are. Regardless of our differing ideas, beliefs, or values, we should respect one another and treat each other as equals.”
David said he admired practitioners for their perseverance in peacefully protesting the persecution for many years. He said, “This is important because many people don’t know about this issue.”
People Encourage Practitioners
Another passerby, Ryan, said, “I sincerely wish you all well. I think this cause is well worth supporting and getting more attention.”
He said he hopes more people will listen to practitioners so they understand that practitioners wish to bring Chinese people good things.
He said he would like to help by telling others, “I think this is an important cause. I am happy to help as much as I can.”
Perseverance of Practitioners Acknowledged
This was the first time Tom, who works in business management, heard of Falun Gong, and said, “I didn’t know there was such an issue in China. I am appalled and wish to learn more.”

Seeing practitioners distributing flyers and collecting signatures, Tom said, “Everyone is kind and truly cares about this issue. I think it is important for you to raise awareness here.”
His friend Lauren, a law enforcement official, said she was touched seeing practitioners quietly demonstrating the exercises and patiently talking to people. “I think this is a meaningful humanitarian aid,” she said.
People Condemn the Atrocity of Forced Organ Harvesting
On the stone steps not far from the stand, a woman dressed in a traditional Nepali sari, and three companions, quietly listened as a practitioner talked about the CCP’s human rights abuses.
The woman said she was a doctor, and lived and worked in China for years, 25 years ago. She spoke Chinese fluently. When the practitioner told her about the CCP’s forced organ harvesting, she was appalled, and said it was horrible.
The practitioner also told her about the reports and evidence from Doctors Against the Forced Organ Harvesting (DAFOH) and other international organizations. She signed the petition immediately and asked her companions to also sign it. She said, “I wish such things never happen again.”
Chinese Family Quits the CCP Organizations
Beside the Nepal doctor, there was a Chinese family of three, Ms. Gao and her two daughters. They listened to the practitioner’s explanation and nodded in agreement.
Ms. Gao said she was visiting her older daughter who had just finished her Ph.D. studies. When the practitioner asked if they had joined the CCP’s youth organizations, she said it was years ago. The practitioner explained why millions of Chinese people have quit the CCP organizations.
Ms. Gao agreed and happily quit the CCP youth organizations with an alias. Her two daughters also agreed to quit. The three of them thanked the practitioner.
