(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 12 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Zouping City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Xiufeng Faces Trial; Two Others Face Indictment
2. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Kong Gang Faces Trial
3. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Li Qingyu and His Wife Ms. Shao Yan Arrested
4. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Jingxia and Ms. Jiang Chunyan Detained
5. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liang Erlong and His Wife Ms. Mou Le Detained
6. [Tianjin] Ms. Liu Junying Arrested
7. [Jimo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Jianchun Detained
1. [Zouping City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Xiufeng Faces Trial; Two Others Face Indictment
Ms. Liu Xiufeng was scheduled to stand trial on May 13, 2026. Another two practitioners, whose names are unknown, are facing indictment.
2. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Kong Gang’s Trial Scheduled
Mr. Kong Gang was arrested on December 9, 2025, by officers from the Sujiatun Domestic Security Division and Jiefang Police Station. He is being held in the Xinmin City Detention Center. The Xinmin City Procuratorate issued a formal arrest warrant for him on January 16, 2026. Mr. Kong was scheduled to appear in the Xinmin City Court on May 8, 2026.
3. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Li Qingyu and His Wife Ms. Shao Yan Arrested
Mr. Li Qingyu and his wife, Ms. Shao Yan, were arrested on May 1, 2026, by officers from the Songbei Police Department and the Beijing Road Police Station. Their home was ransacked. The police arrested them after seeing them on surveillance footage distributing Falun Gong printouts on March 23, 2026. Mr. Li has been released and Ms. Shao is under administrative detention.
4. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Jingxia and Ms. Jiang Chunyan Detained
Ms. Li Jingxia and Ms. Jiang Chunyan were arrested on April 28, 2026, by officers from the Xinhua Police Station, after someone reported them for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Their homes were ransacked, and they are being held at the Chaoyang City Detention Center.
5. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liang Erlong and His Wife Ms. Mou Le Detained
Mr. Liang Erlong and his wife, Ms. Mou Le, were arrested on March 18, 2026, by officers from the Xinnongcun Police Station in Xinmin City. They were detained for 37 days and released on bail on April 24. Ms. Mou was ordered to pay a 2,000-yuan bail bond.
6. [Tianjin] Ms. Liu Junying Arrested
Ms. Liu Junying, a native of Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province, was arrested on April 16, 2026, while working in Tianjin. The arresting officers from the Binhai District Domestic Security Division and Dagu Police Station interrogated her. As she was found to have health issues during the required physical exam, the police released her, but threatened to put her under long-term surveillance. The police also refused to return her confiscated cell phone.
7. [Jimo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Jianchun Detained
Ms. Li Jianchun, around 60, was arrested in April 2026 in Hefei City, Anhui Province, while visiting her child. The arresting officers from the Binhu Police Station officers accused her of talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She has been detained since then.
