(Minghui.org) Practitioners in Aichi Prefecture participated in the 32nd Suigen Cherry Blossom Festival in Toyota City on April 4-5, 2026. In addition to demonstrating the exercises, practitioners also presented a waist drum performance and distributed information to introduce the practice to local residents and tourists.
The event took place at Suigen Park which is famous for its cherry blossoms. Many people visit the park, especially when the cherry trees are blooming. Some stopped to watch as practitioners did the exercises. They talked with them and learned about Falun Dafa. People signed the petition to help end the persecution in China, and some learned the exercises.
The host introduced Falun Dafa and said the festival was happy to welcome practitioners who brought the wonderful exercises to the event.

Practitioners also performed the waist drums and demonstrated the exercises on stage. People applauded the pieces they performed, which included “Falun Dafa Is Good.”

Learning the Exercises
After watching the exercise demonstration on the stage, three women who live in Toyota City joined the practitioners in doing the exercises. They did all five exercises.

These women also chatted more with the practitioners about mind and body improvement through the exercises and the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Upon leaving, they thanked the practitioners and expressed hope that the persecution in China would end soon.
People signed petitions calling for a stop to the suppression of Falun Dafa by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), including forced organ harvesting.
A middle-aged woman asked several questions and told practitioners what she had heard about Falun Dafa in China. Practitioners explained that for decades, the CCP suppressed people through it’s numerous political campaigns because the regime wants to control people’s minds. Outside China, Falun Dafa is practiced in over 100 countries. The woman accepted informational materials and said she would learn the exercises at a local practice site.
Ms. Mizuno, who met practitioners the day before, brought them vouchers for tea and refreshments the next morning, and invited the practitioners to her tea booth. After learning about Falun Dafa and the harsh persecution in China, she signed a petition calling to end the forced organ harvesting by the CCP.
One man in his 70s was shocked to hear about the genocide of Falun Dafa practitioners in China, and said, “I can’t imagine something like this is happening in the world today.” He signed a petition that urged a stop to these human rights violations.
Practitioners have participated in the festival nearly every year since 2004. The host thanked the practitioners again for their support and invited them to return next year.
