(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held an event on Republic Square in Rennes, the capital of Brittany, on September 20, 2025. They introduced the mind-body practice of Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong), demonstrated the Dafa exercises, and raised awareness of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of Falun Dafa and its escalating transnational repression.
Located in northwestern France, Rennes was the second-largest university city in France in 2024, with over 73,000 students. Known as a City of Art and History, its historic center preserves a significant medieval and classical heritage. Nearly 100 buildings are protected historic monuments.

People sign the petition calling on G7+7 countries to condemn the CCP’s state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting of prisoners of conscience.
Around 10:30 a.m., a group of well-dressed people were heading to City Hall for a wedding. A practitioner handed them flyers and a petition which calls on the G7+7 countries to oppose the CCP’s forced organ harvesting. They initially said they had no time, but after seeing the flyer and hearing the explanation, they were shocked and said, “Of course we have to sign the petition! We have to! This is too serious!”
Passerby Ms. Djma said her children work in medical institutions, including cardiology. She was stunned when she saw the display boards depicting the persecution, torture, and forced organ harvesting targeting Falun Dafa practitioners. She signed the petition. A practitioner gave her the magazine Medical Extinction and the book Minghui Report: The 20-Year Persecution of Falun Gong in China, and asked her to give them to her children.
Nolwenn and Stéphanie stopped to watch practitioners’ exercise demonstration and said it was exactly what they were looking for. Reading the display board about the persecution, Nolwenn said, “How is this possible? Why are such atrocities being perpetrated against such peaceful people? Thank you for sharing this information, as we’ve never heard of this in the media. It’s horrific.” They signed the petition and took down the contact information for the nearest practice site. Nolwenn said, “It’s no accident that we’re here today, because we were destined to meet you.”
Fara, who lives in Rennes, stopped at the booth. She did not previously know about the CCP’s forced organ harvesting of prisoners of conscience and was deeply shocked. She said she opposes all forms of injustice. Fara signed the petition to end the forced organ harvesting, and accepted flyers and the Minghui Report. She said she would read them carefully and share them with her friends and family.
She took photos of the display board with the words “Falun Dafa” and “Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance,” and said she would post the photos on social media. Before she left, she thanked the practitioners.
