(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 27 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Chen Shigui Persecuted in Prison
Mr. Chen Shigui was arrested on July 10, 2019 and was later sentenced to seven and a half years in prison. He is now serving time in Jiazhou Prison in Leshan City, with sixteen months left.
Mr. Chen called his family on August 24, 2025 and told them that he was found to have high blood pressure. After taking the hypertension medicine given by the doctor, he felt weak in his limbs; his head was heavy and buzzing; and his neck was stiff. He also had intermittent amnesia. He refused to take medicine any more.
Mr. Chen was taken to the Sichuan Provincial Judicial Police General Hospital on August 26, 2025. His family visited him on August 28, 2025. In addition to the symptoms that he told them about earlier, his organs were failing and his teeth were falling off. He couldn’t chew, and the prison didn’t provide him with soft food.
Mr. Chen applied to the prison to release him on medical parole. But director Bai rejected it, with the excuse that he didn’t sign the required statement to renounce Falun Gong.
2. [Jieyang City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Sun Jiefeng and His Family Arrested
Mr. Sun Jiefeng, his wife, and their three children planned to go to New Zealand for vacation on August 19, 2025. After the police found out about it, they arrested the whole family on the evening of August 15, 2025. Officers from the Rongcheng District Domestic Security Division and the Yuhu Police Station also ransacked their home and confiscated the Falun Gong books, computer, and cell phones. Mr. Sun’s wife and the three children were released the next day. Mr. Sun has been detained in the Jieyang City Detention Center since then.
3. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Wang Yonggang Detained
Mr. Wang Yonggang was arrested at home by a dozen officers on the afternoon of August 28, 2025. His Falun Gong books were confiscated. It is unknown where he is being held.
4. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested
Seven practitioners were arrested on August 28, 2025. Ms. Chang Yahua, Ms. Chang Yawen, Wang, a teacher, and Liu Yinghui were held in the Changchun City Detention Center. Liu’s Falun Gong books, medial player, cell phone, computer, printer and Falun Gong related materials were confiscated. Two sisters with surnames Han and Zhao Yaxue were released on bail. Zhao’s Falun Gong books, two media players and cell phone were confiscated.
5. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Qi Shuyun and Ms. Qi Shulan Arrested
Two sisters, Ms. Qi Shuyun and Ms. Qi Shulan, were arrested by Qixing Police Station officers on August 15, 2025. The police confiscated the Falun Gong books, the photo of Falun Gong founder, computer and printer from the younger sister’s home. The older sister has been released and the younger sister remains detained.
6. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Wu Tiancong Arrested
Mr. Wu Tianchong was arrested at home in mid-August 2025.
7. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Six Practitioners Arrested
Six practitioners were arrested at Ms. Chen Ying’s home in Yufengli Residential Community by Beihuan Police Station officers on the afternoon of April 17, 2025. All practitioners have been released on bail. Some are under residential surveillance.
8. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Gu Fubao Detained
Gu Fubao was arrested when distributing informational materials about Falun Gong on July 15, 2025. Gu is detained in the Nangang District Detention Center.
9. [Beijing] Ms. Yu Being Monitored
Two persons were monitoring Ms. Yu on September 1, 2025 outside her home. They followed her when she took her husband to the hospital for a checkup in the afternoon.
10. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Hao Xiaoqin Detained
Ms. Hao Xiaoqin was reported to police for talking to people about Falun Gong and was arrested by Mingdenan Police Station officers on August 31, 2025. She was placed under 10-day detention.
11. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Sumei Arrested
Ms. Wang Sumei was arrested at home by officers from the Fangzhi District Domestic Security Division and the Fenghuang Police Station on the morning of September 1, 2025. Her home was ransacked.
12. [Xichang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wei Huirong Detained
Ms. Wei Huirong was arrested on the morning of August 14, 2025. She had been released.
