France: People in Nantes Express Support for Falun Gong

(Minghui.org) Practitioners in western France held an Information Day at Place Royale in Nantes on Saturday, August 2, 2025. They told people about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong and collected signatures on a petition calling for the G7 countries to help stop the CCP’s atrocities.

Many people came to enjoy the art performances in downtown Nantes that day. They learned about Falun Gong and the persecution, and signed the petition.

Sylvie said that she was surprised to hear that the CCP harvests organs from living people. She signed the petition and took informational brochures to read.

Shakty signed the petition and said that she’s been looking for a relaxing and uplifting practice. She was interested in practicing Falun Gong and took the contact information for local group exercises.

Marie-Paule, a retired local resident, said she was interested in practicing Falun Gong. She couldn’t understand the CCP’s irrational persecution of such a peaceful practice for 26 years. Outraged by the atrocity of organ harvesting, she signed the petition to call for it to end. She expressed her appreciation for the practitioners’ efforts.

A family of five from Toulon stopped by the Falun Gong booth. After hearing about the persecution, all of them signed the petition and said they hoped to see more people participate in this collective effort.

Many people said they would tell others about the persecution because it was important for everyone to sign. A man who signed the petition said that his friend told him to come. The man was happy to support a good cause.

Jean-Claude, an eighty-seven-year-old traveler, asked practitioners what he could do to help. He signed the petition and took informational flyers about Falun Gong.

Most people were surprised that the media hadn’t reported on the CCP’s persecution. A local resident initially thought France had more important things to handle, but after hearing about the crime of organ harvesting, he was appalled by the severity of the persecution and signed the petition.
