(Minghui.org) I began practicing Falun Dafa nearly thirty years ago with my parents. Over the years, in my personal life and professional work as a Chinese medicine doctor, I've tried my best to uphold Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. Falun Dafa has profoundly transformed my physical health, mindset, and character, turning me from someone who felt burdened by simple tasks like cooking, into a person who genuinely considers others’ needs.

I’d like to share a few examples from my work as a Chinese medicine doctor to show how wonderful Falun Dafa is.

I wish to help patients, not make money. Nowadays, many doctors’ incomes are tied to prescribing medicine, so some doctors tend to over prescribe or choose expensive drugs in order to earn higher commissions. The focus on profit often compromises the effectiveness of the treatment. I prioritize affordable, effective medications.

A woman in her fifties came to see me. She looked pale, and after taking her pulse, I determined that she had a deficiency of qi and blood. She mentioned she was slightly anemic, so I prescribed Guipi Pills to replenish her qi and blood. Two weeks later, she returned, saying, “The medicine you prescribed really works, and it wasn’t expensive! I feel more energetic now. The doctor I saw before gave me very costly medicine that didn’t help at all.”

On another occasion, a father brought his son, who was in his twenties and had kidney disease. The son recently lost his appetite. Noticing his thick tongue coating, I realized his previous prescriptions, mostly heavy tonics, caused dampness and turbidity which blocked his stomach. I prescribed a few doses to clear phlegm and stimulate appetite. Within days, they happily reported that he could eat again. The son continued seeking my treatment, and eventually, his kidney function indicators normalized.

I treat every patient with care: I take their pulses, examine their tongues, measure blood pressure, thoroughly ask about their symptoms, document their conditions, and organize them into electronic medical records. Over the years, I’ve accumulated thousands of case files. Patients often commented on my meticulous approach and kind heart. My clinic displays nine honorary banners from grateful patients.

I study acupuncture diligently under my teacher and practice with care. During treatments I never cut corners—each needle is inserted with proper technique so the patient can feel its effect. This approach yields noticeable results. One patient said, “Every needle you use produces a reaction. There are too few doctors like you.” He had pain in his right arm and couldn’t move it behind his back. After a few sessions, his condition improved greatly. He recommended me to his father-in-law, mother-in-law, and many others.

A woman who had vision problems saw improvement after several acupuncture sessions. Overjoyed, she insisted on giving me a box of cookies as a gift. I declined, but she persisted. I told her, “I can’t accept it. I am happy for your recovery, that’s all I need.” Another patient remarked, “Your kindness shows you have faith.”

A leukemia patient with a severe condition remained remarkably optimistic. After chemotherapy, she sometimes couldn’t eat, but with just three doses of my prescribed medicine, her appetite returned, and she was deeply grateful. I encouraged her to frequently recite, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” assuring her it would aid her recovery. She later told me that many patients with her condition passed away, but she survived each crisis. “These auspicious words really work!” she said.

A few times I was accidentally overpaid. Each time, I took the initiative to return the money. On one occasion, the over-payment was substantial. I went to the accountant to report it, and the dean, who happened to be there, praised my integrity.

Once, I saw a pile of feces in the hospital corridor, likely left by a child. Many people passed by, but no one cleaned it up. I took some paper and cleaned it myself. The cleaning staff later praised me warmly.

Another time, a female patient was shortchanged 100 yuan during registration, but the nurse denied the error. The patient was so upset that she cried. I reassured her, “Don’t worry, we’ll resolve this,” and gave her 100 yuan from my own pocket. She was immensely grateful—not just for the money, but because I believed her. When the director learned of this, he personally reimbursed me. From then on, this patient sought me out to treat her illness, even after she moved far away.

Dafa has guided me to become a doctor that is trusted and valued by patients. I know this is because I strive to embody Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance in my work. I believe that after reading my story, you’ll see that Falun Dafa practitioners are compassionate and kind. If you try living by Dafa’s standards, you too can find happiness and well-being.
