(Minghui.org) The past two-plus decades have seen many Falun Dafa experience-sharing conferences held outside China, and the processing of papers from these conferences has been smooth. The veteran practitioners who made the conference preparations have been very responsible and handled things well.
In recent years, a large number of conference articles have been submitted to Minghui. Recent developments have resulted in the Minghui Editorial Board becoming part of the article processing workflow after these conferences are held. While we are honored to participate, we need to ensure effective collaboration.
Compared to the situation in mainland China, overseas practitioners generally have sufficient computer skills and working environments that are not impacted by the persecution in China. Therefore, we now put forth a set of format requirements for articles submitted from overseas conferences:
1) Please avoid garbled Chinese characters in the file names and body text of submitted articles.
2) If both the original version and a translated version are submitted, please keep the file name numbering consistent. For example, if the Chinese version has the file name 01-Firstname.Lastname-GB, the name of the English file should be 01-Firstname.Lastname-EN.
3) To oppose the persecution and help practitioners in mainland China, we have made Simplified Chinese the main edition of Minghui.org, and the Traditional Chinese website is automatically converted from Simplified Chinese. Therefore, when Falun Dafa Associations in different places submit conference articles, we prefer to have all the articles in Simplified Chinese. If editors need to convert individual articles from Traditional Chinese to Simplified Chinese, additional proofreading would be required.
In addition, please avoid submitting articles in PDF format, as problems can arise during the conversion, resulting in garbled text and additional editing work.
4) Please compress the Chinese and English articles into separate zip files.
