(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 11 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Fu Wenjie and Mr. Jiang Nan Face Prosecution
2. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
3. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Fu Hong Facing Trial
4. [Yingcheng City, Hubei Province] Mr. Wang Changping Arrested
5. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Li Chunlan Harassed
6. [Yongqing County, Hebei Province] Ms. Han Suzhi Arrested
7. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Mr. Chen Yang Harassed
1. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Fu Wenjie and Mr. Jiang Nan Face Prosecution
Ms. Fu Wenjie and Mr. Jiang Nan were arrested during a police sweep in early June 2025. The police submitted Ms. Fu’s case to the procuratorate on August 8, 2025. When her lawyer reviewed her case file on August 14, 2025, he found that the prosecutor had indicted her and moved her case to the court. She demanded the judge to dismiss her case.
Mr. Jiang’s lawyer visited him on August 14, 2025. The authorities are in the process of approving his arrest.
2. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Cui Xiuju, Ms. Liu Haiyan and Practitioner Wu were placed under official arrest on August 8, 2025.
3. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Fu Hong Facing Trial
Ms. Fu Hong was arrested by Yanshan Street Police Station officers on November 20, 2024 and held in the Qinhuangdao City Detention Center. The Haigang District Procuratorate indicted her. She was scheduled to be tried by the Funing District Court on August 21, 2025.
4. [Yingcheng City, Hubei Province] Mr. Wang Changping Arrested
Mr. Wang Changping was arrested at home on the afternoon of August 13, 2025, by Xu Zibin, deputy of the Dongmafang Police Station, Wang Bichuan, village official, as well as officers from the Yunmeng County Domestic Security Division and Chengnan Police Station.
Mr. Wang was first taken to the Dongmafang Police Station and later transferred to the Chengnan Police Station. The police ransacked his home later that day and confiscated a photo of Falun Gong’s founder.
Mr. Wang was taken to the Yunmeng County Hospital for physical exam. He was denied admission by the lockup due to his high blood pressure and released in the evening.
5. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Li Chunlan Harassed
Ms. Li Chunlan was harassed at home by Chengxi Police Station officers on August 5 and 15, 2025. The officers intimidated her and took photos of her.
6. [Yongqing County, Hebei Province] Ms. Han Suzhi Arrested
Zhang Tao from the Yongqing County Domestic Security Division and He Rui from the Yangmazhuang Township Police Station, went to Ms. Han Suzhi’s home in Yangmazhuang Township on the afternoon of August 13, 2025. They ransacked her home and confiscated about 100 Falun Gong books, three photos of Falun Gong founder, three wall posters with Falun symbols, a set of DVD with Falun Gong founder’s lectures, over 10 booklets, 35 yuan of paper bills imprinted with Falun Gong fact, three computers, two cell phones, three media players, about 10 memory cards, dozens of USB drives, over 10 small gourds, a dozens of amulets and QR codes, and all wall posters. Ms. Han was arrested and taken to the Yangmazhuang Township Police Station. Next day she was taken to the Langfang City Detention Center but was denied admission due to her high blood pressure. She was released around 9 p.m.
7. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Mr. Chen Yang Harassed
Mr. Chen Yang has been repeatedly harassed by Liu Gaohui from the Wangluyuan Police Station and Zeng from the Shuifengjing Community Office, after he was released from prison on December 5, 2024 from serving a four-year term.
Two persons came to Mr. Chen’s home in late January 2025 and demanded to meet with him and take photos of him once a month, saying that he was the key target to monitor. The harassers also asked for information about his daughter, who is studying in the U.S. and has spoke out about her parents’ persecution at public events.
Officers Liu Gaohui called Mr. Chen on August 14, 2025 and demanded to meet with him. Mr. Chen refused to comply and Liu threatened him over the phone.
