(Minghui.org) After an extended surveillance operation, the police in our area arrested quite a few practitioners last year. Those practitioners had been involved in truth-clarification materials production sites, technical support, Fa-study groups, and so on, so their arrests had a big impact on the rest of us in the area.

Many factors contributed to this round of persecution, but we believe the primary reasons include the way our major materials production sites are operated, improper relationships between men and women, a tendency to depend on others, and overlooking wrongdoings among practitioners.

As far as we know, many of those who were arrested didn’t pay much attention to cultivating their xinxing, while others kept their distance from fellow practitioners for a long time due to conflicts. Some lived under one roof but couldn’t get over their grudges and had stopped talking to each other. Some, in order to make a living, put out false advertisements and scam people. Some of them only distributed materials and let fellow practitioners support them financially for a long time, while others couldn’t bear loneliness and often visited fellow practitioners. One of them couldn’t even bear to stay home without having someone to talk to.

As Dafa cultivators, we should let go of sentimentality, but due to our attachments, human notions often work their way in, and some practitioners have gone so far as to harbor jealousy and, like everyday people, are emotionally attached to fellow practitioners.

They neglect safety and contact each other on their cell phones, fuss over each other, and often gather for meals without thinking it’s a problem. Due to not cultivating their xinxing, they are often sleepy when they study the Fa, do the exercises, and send righteous thoughts.

One of the arrested is a male practitioner, who has produced materials for a long time and is skilled technically. Practitioners often went to him for help, so he got very busy. Even though he didn’t have much spare time to study the Fa, he was keen to visit fellow practitioners and gossip. When other practitioners reminded him not to do that, he didn’t take it seriously.

He is single, and his interactions with female practitioners weren’t proper. For example, he gave them gifts. Before his arrest, he often rode around on his electric bike. The police put a tracking device on his bike and monitored his phone. They followed him for a long time, enabling them to track down the locations of other materials production sites.

As part of their “special task force,” the police installed surveillance cameras near the homes of the practitioners they eventually arrested, tracking them for over a year before carrying out the mass arrest.

The fact that some practitioners overly relied on others or even worshipped or went along with unacceptable behavior is another important factor that led to the persecution.

To be fair, no one intended for some material production sites in our area to develop into big ones in the beginning, but with more demands and the need to save more people, the sites became bigger and bigger, and the safety requirements were ignored.

Another important factor is that some practitioners are unwilling to overcome their own notions and have avoided setting up materials sites in their own homes. For a long time, they have relied on others for materials, and this gave the authorities an opportunity to track down the route of our materials distribution and set a trap.

Another factor might be that we tend to look at things only from our own perspective and fail to see how much work our fellow practitioners operating the materials production sites shoulder.

We need to give it serious thought: Could it be that, because we always demand more materials, those practitioners had to cut short their Fa study time to meet our demands? This lesson is already a reality right in front of us.

With regard to casually giving each other gifts, we would like to remind fellow practitioners to check within themselves: Why do I want to give someone a gift? What do I want to achieve? Is my attachment to emotions and personal feelings too strong?

We should reflect upon ourselves concerning the mass arrest: Fellow practitioners are being persecuted. Could it also be partly due to our own loopholes in cultivation? When we went along with their human attachments, weren’t we actually pushing them further down?
