Germany: Events in Many Cities Mark 26 Years of Peaceful Efforts to Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong

(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners held activities in Berlin, Frankfurt am Main, Düsseldorf, Munich, Hamburg, Nuremberg, Konstanz, and Augsburg to protest the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) 26-year persecution of Falun Gong, and its escalating transnational repression.

Raising Awareness of the Persecution for 26 Years

Ms. Zhou, director of the German Falun Dafa Association, said that for 26 years, Falun Gong practitioners have been persistently clarifying the truth in China and more than 100 countries around the world, which has given many people the opportunity to come into contact with and understand Falun Gong, and to have the opportunity to think and judge for themselves. Many people learned Falun Gong after finding out that Falun Gong is not at all what the CCP says it is.

Ms. Zhou also said that the CCP has recently intensified its transnational repression of Falun Gong. “In the past year, the CCP has intensified its harassment of the Shen Yun Performing Arts Company, which was founded by Falun Gong practitioners. When Shen Yun was touring Germany in 2025, two theaters received bomb threats, and all theaters received defamatory emails from the CCP,” she said.

Berlin: Activities for Three Consecutive Days Protest the Persecution

Falun Gong practitioners held rallies in front of the Chinese Embassy, in the city center, and in parks in Berlin for three consecutive days from July 18 to July 20, calling on the international community to pay attention to the human rights abuses in China and demanding that the CCP immediately stop the persecution.

Many passersby said that they knew about the situation in China and were happy to sign the petition to support Falun Gong practitioners’ efforts to end the persecution. People also said that they hoped that the CCP would immediately stop harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.

Practitioners held an event in the famous northern port city of Hamburg (Haffen City) on July 19, which drew local residents and tourists, as well as some Chinese tourists. Many had in-depth conversations with Falun Gong practitioners.

Munich: A Chinese Woman Quits the CCP and Its Affiliated Organizations

Falun Gong practitioners held an event on Sendlinger Strasse in the city center of Munich, the largest city of southern Germany, on July 19. A Chinese woman in her thirties agreed to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations during the event.

The woman had a long conversation with a practitioner, who told her what Falun Gong is, why the CCP persecutes Falun Gong, and how the CCP persecutes the Chinese people. The practitioner also told her that now, more than 440 million Chinese have renounced the CCP and its affiliated organizations, and some high-ranking officials’ entire families have withdrawn. After hearing this, the woman agreed to withdraw from the communist organizations using an alias.
