Clarifying the Facts While Visiting Family in Beijing

(Minghui.org) I’m 80 years old and live alone. Except for the time when I was illegally arrested and detained, I’ve always gone out to clarify the facts ever since Falun Dafa has been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Nothing could stop me, no matter the weather!

My daughter repeatedly invited me to Beijing to stay over at her place for a few days. I preferred using my time for letting people know about Dafa and the persecution. However, I couldn’t decline her offer either. So I went. After the holidays, she and her husband went back to work, so I had more free time.

After I finished studying the Fa, I wanted to start going out to clarify the facts. But it was a bit hard for me to get around. I also had an accent, which I feared would create communication barriers. So I was a bit hesitant. But since I’m a practitioner, clarifying the facts and saving people is my mission. I must step forward!

On my first day of going out in Beijing, I ran into an elderly man who was sweeping the sidewalk. I asked him where to buy groceries, and he gave me detailed directions. I learned that he was from Cangzhou City in Hebei Province and was in Beijing to babysit his grandson.

I exclaimed, “I’m also from Hebei! We have a predestined relationship to meet here like this. Do you believe that good will be rewarded and evil will be punished?” He said he did, so I asked, “Have you heard of quitting the CCP to ensure one’s safety?”

He hadn’t. I then inquired if he had ever joined the CCP or its youth organizations. “I’ve joined both the Youth League and Young Pioneers,” he replied.

I then explained how the CCP had caused 80 million deaths during its multiple political movements and that the pandemic was a warning that heaven will eliminate it. “Since you were a member of that [the CCP’s youth organizations], you’d be implicated with it. Only by quitting the Party, can you have a bright future.” After he learned the truth about Dafa, he quit the Party. I then asked him to remember the phrase, “Falun Dafa is wonderful! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is wonderful!” He was the only person I managed to talk to that day, but it strengthened my confidence.

The next day, I ran into an elderly man pulling a cart. I asked him where he was heading. He was going to do some grocery shopping. “Don’t we have a supermarket nearby?”

He replied, “It’s a bit pricey there. There are five of us in our family. It costs a lot of money for our grandson’s schooling and treating my spouse’s illnesses. It’s difficult to make ends meet nowadays.”

“The CCP doesn’t care about regular people’s lives,” I interjected. “Young people in rural areas can’t afford to get married. The CCP used to implement the ‘one child policy’, which aborted so many fetuses and caused an imbalance in the country’s male-female ratio.”

“It’s truly devastating!” he replied.

“You’re from Beijing, and you know all about the Tiananmen Square Massacre of students in 1989. It was so cruel. Previous movements have killed so many people. Can this destructive regime be allowed to go on like this forever?”

“But what can we do about it?”

“People can’t do anything, but God can. Pandemics are under God’s will to eliminate the Party. The CCP thinks that it has power and can control people. It has sealed off communities and cities, shut down businesses and put them into bankruptcy. If you are to follow heaven’s will and quit the CCP and its affiliates, you won’t be counted as a part of it and escape from calamity.”

He asked me how to quit, so I told him that he could use a pseudonym or nickname. He agreed and gave me his family name. I then gave him a pseudonym with his last name included. He excitedly exclaimed, “That’s great!”

One morning, I went to a park where there were many people dancing. A well-dressed woman in her 60s was watching. I started a conversation and found out that she was a Chinese Lit teacher. I asked if she had heard that Falun Dafa’s founder (Master Li Hongzhi) held classes in Beijing. She had and knew it was well received, but she didn’t have time to attend.

As she taught Chinese literature, I wondered if she knew about history. She said she had some basic knowledge. I asked her, “Do you believe that good and evil have their corresponding effects?” She agreed, and I continued, “Every political movement run by the CCP has killed millions of people. You also experienced the student movement in 1989 in Beijing. Those college students died so tragically!”

She sighed and asked what we could do. I told her, “God has a way. Not even great dynasties could last forever. The Gods now want to eliminate this evil regime. So I want to tell you to cut your ties with it from deep in your heart and remember the phrase, ‘Falun Dafa is wonderful! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is wonderful!’

“I have practiced Dafa for 28 years and never had to take any medication due to my good health.” I also mentioned that I was 79 years old.

“You don’t look that age at all!” She thought I was in my 60s and exclaimed, “Dafa is truly great! Thank you so much!”

She agreed when I asked her if she was willing to quit the CCP, “Thank you! It was so meaningful to come here this morning!”

During those few days, I helped 149 people quit the Party. Most of them could accept what I said. If I spoke well, some people even praised me for my knowledge. It was probably because my xinxing had reached the standard, so Master gave me the wisdom.
