(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 4 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 4 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Ankang City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Li Shoulan Sentenced to Five Years
2. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Xiuqun Sentenced to One and a Half Years
3. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Deng Youzhen Detained in a Brainwashing Center
4. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Huiqing Harassed

1. [Ankang City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Li Shoulan Sentenced to Five Years

Ms. Li Shoulan, 73, a native of Wanyuan City, Sichuan Province, was arrested in Ankang City, Shaanxi Province, in late 2023. Minghui.org confirmed in May 2025 that she has been admitted to prison to serve a five-year term.

2. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Xiuqun Sentenced to One and a Half Years

Ms. Zhang Xiuqun was arrested at the end of April 2024 by Gudao Town’s Junmachang Police Station officers. The Dongying District Court sentenced her to 18 months in prison in early 2025. She is still held at the Dongying City Detention Center.

3. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Deng Youzhen Detained in a Brainwashing Center

Ms. Deng Youzhen of Jianghan District was arrested on April 23, 2025, and put into a lockup after someone reported her for putting up Falun Gong posters. She was later transferred to the Yusunshan Brainwashing Center in Hanyang District.

4. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Huiqing Harassed

Ms. Zhang Huiqing, 75, was harassed at home by three officers from Sangzidian Police Station on the afternoon of May 15, 2025. The officers ordered her to take a physical exam, claiming it was a necessary step to close her case. She refused to comply.
