Rescuing a Fellow Practitioner

(Minghui.org) One spring many years ago, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhang was arrested and his house was ransacked. This incident was the beginning of an amazing experience for villagers and Falun Dafa practitioners alike.

Mrs. Zhang, who was not a Falun Dafa practitioner, shared with us how her husband saved several villagers during a flood the year before, at the risk of his own life and property loss. Just at that moment, I looked out the window and saw an elderly man standing by the road in front of the house.

Mrs. Zhang pointed to him and said, “That is the man my husband saved.”

I went out and asked the man, “Did Mr. Zhang save you during the flood last year?” He affirmed that this was indeed true.

I said, “Mr. Zhang is currently being persecuted in a detention center for practicing Falun Dafa. We have to help him.”

The old man responded, “That's right, but I don’t know how to help.”

At that moment an idea flashed in my mind. We can rescue Mr. Zhang by collecting signed petitions from the villagers. After making arrangements for signing petitions, I looked out at the village in the distance. I thought it would be nice to have a bicycle to travel around as we collected signatures. Just at that moment, a van carrying three practitioners drove into the yard. I said happily, “Master has sent a car here to assist us.”

The practitioners all thought the petition idea was great. I asked Mrs. Zhang if she could provide supplies for the signature collection, and she agreed to do so. Everything seemed to go smoothly.

However, when we asked Mrs. Zhang to lead us through the village to collect signatures from the villagers, she was a bit hesitant and afraid of the difficulties that might occur. I explained, “You just need to introduce us to everyone. We will talk about the signature drive.” She agreed. Two of us went with Mrs. Zhang to the houses to collect signatures. The practitioner who was driving sent forth righteous thoughts in the car, and the other two practitioners stayed back to send forth righteous thoughts at home.

We started gathering the signatures from the east end of the village and proceeded on to the west end. After entering the house and being introduced by Mrs. Zhang, we began to explain our purpose and clarify the truth. The villagers all said that Mr. Zhang was a kind person with great character. After the villagers signed the petitions, we also offered to help them withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its related organizations.

In front of one house was a powerful dog, and Mrs. Zhang was afraid of going inside. I said, “It’s okay, no family will be left behind.” I communicated with the dog in my heart to stay out of our way because we were there to save them. Miraculously, the dog laid down and looked at us motionlessly. Mrs. Zhang witnessed the wonder of Dafa, and her righteous thoughts became stronger.

We shared our experiences after collecting signatures from the entire village. When we decided to collect signatures, we had no improper thoughts, nor did we worry about being reported by bad people. We just asked the villagers to sign the petition to help rescue our fellow practitioner. During this process, we also persuaded them to withdraw from the CCP. Our xinxing gradually improved.

Everyone was happy. After all, it was our first time going to the countryside to share the truth from door to door. It felt very refreshing. Upon meeting the simple, sincere, and kind villagers, I felt like they were my own family. There were no obstacles, and communicating with them was easy. The atmosphere was very peaceful.

Looking back on the entire process of this event, I deeply felt that everything was Master Li’s ingenious arrangement and compassionate blessing. From the appearance of the elderly man saved by Mr. Zhang, to the appearance of a car and fellow practitioners to support us, to sharing the truth and exhorting people to withdraw from the CCP during signature collection – Master was with us the entire time.

Dafa disciples are of one-body, and being Master’s disciple is such a blessing! At this historical moment of the universe’s renewal, it is the greatest honor of my life to be able to assist Master in Fa rectification and save sentient beings.
