London, U.K.: Chinese Dissident Condemns the CCP’s Persecution of Falun Gong

(Minghui.org) Zhang Bin, a Chinese dissident who fled China two years ago, attended an event in front of the Chinese Embassy in June, which was held to protest and expose the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) brutality. He sympathized with Falun Gong practitioners for enduring the 26-year-long persecution and encouraged them.

Zhang said that because he practices Christianity, he was detained in China, where he met many Falun Gong practitioners. He said the CCP has no reason to suppress Falun Gong. “Practitioners simply want to improve their character and do the exercises [to improve their health]. This has nothing to do with the CCP. It’s inconceivable that the regime treats them so badly.

“Any human being can have their belief as long as they don’t interfere with others. This is freedom of belief,” Zhang explained. “No government has the authority to deprive people of this. No government should arrest, criminalize, or kill people because of it.”

After Falun Gong was introduced to the public in 1992, it became very popular due to its mental and physical benefits. However, the totalitarian CCP could not tolerate its popularity. In April 1999, police in Tianjin arrested 45 Falun Gong practitioners. Officials told practitioners who asked to have them released that they should go to Beijing to appeal. About 10,000 practitioners peacefully appealed in Beijing on April 25, 1999, and the detained practitioners were released. The CCP later claimed they were “besieging Zhongnanhai,” and the nationwide persecution began in July 1999.

“This is a plot,” Zhang said. “The CCP set this up and forced practitioners to act. It then claimed practitioners besieged Zhongnanhai and were involved in politics. Looking at this, a person would know such an accusation does not stand.”

The CCP’s Vicious Nature

By following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, Falun Gong practitioners strive to be better citizens. Zhang said he heard that practitioners not only left no trash during the peaceful appeal in April 1999, but they also picked up trash left by others, including police officers. “This shows the high quality of Falun Gong practitioners. So, why is the CCP afraid of a group of good people? Because the CCP’s nature is inhuman.

“The CCP is against humanity. Seeing the popularity of Falun Gong, the regime might think that, were such a group not to be suppressed, after some time it would jeopardize the CCP’s rule, so it would simply suppress it,” Zhang explained. “The better Falun Gong is, the more the CCP persecutes it. This happened because of the CCP’s inherent nature. Its role is to be evil, which is the opposite of mankind.”

The book, the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, revealed the CCP’s true nature, Zhang added. “As described in the Communist Manifesto, communism began as a specter haunting Europe. That is its nature,” he explained.

Severing Ties with the Regime

The CCP broadcasts lies to defame Falun Gong. The worst is the staged Self-immolation Incident at Tiananmen Square because it misled millions of people. Zhang said, “As human beings, independent thinking is important. We cannot just blindly believe what the CCP says: It just set this up to target Falun Gong.”

Speaking of forced organ harvesting, he said the current situation in China is painful. “When Falun Gong practitioners first exposed this, many people did not believe them. People later realized that the CCP is not only harvesting organs from Falun Gong practitioners. For instance, a girl walking on the street could be kidnapped and have her organs harvested. Many college students disappear in Wuhan every year.

“I know the situation in Wuhan, Zhengzhou, and Shanghai. Organ harvesting is very active in these three cities,” he added. He said the human rights conditions in China are disappointing. Many people outside China are not aware of this because the CCP covers it up with massive propaganda.

He said severing ties with the CCP and its affiliated junior organizations, namely the Youth League and the Young Pioneers, is important. “I think this is a great idea. I know the US government recognizes the certificate when one quits the CCP organizations.”

Many Chinese students who study overseas have been brainwashed by the CCP since childhood, and some even spy for the regime. If they don’t sever their ties to it, they face a dilemma—whether they return to China or stay abroad. “Many overseas Chinese students are now sandwiched. The job market in China is terrible, and one cannot find a job there at all,” Zhang explained. “That’s why many students want to stay in the US. Severing ties with the CCP is easy.
