Cape Town, South Africa: Falun Dafa Practitioners Raise Awareness and Commemorate April 25 Peaceful Appeal

(Minghui.org) Twenty-six years ago, on April 25, about 10,000 Falun Dafa practitioners held a peaceful appeal in Beijing. To commemorate this appeal, practitioners in Cape Town, South Africa distributed information about Falun Dafa in Cape Town’s city center on April 25, 2025.

The bus station is located in the city center of Cape Town. People travel through the area every day. Practitioners went to the bus station and handed out pamphlets about Falun Dafa to people getting on and off the bus. This included office workers and students. Practitioners were hoping to bring the facts about Falun Dafa to every corner of Cape Town.

Practitioner met residents from Kyalisha in front of an arts theater at noon. They went shopping at the city center. They were happy to hear about Falun Dafa and its free teaching. They hoped that practitioners would go to their local community to teach the exercises.

Practitioners passed by the theater, then met Joseph and his two colleagues who were buying lunch during their work noon break. They are employed by the municipal council. They were shocked when they heard about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of practitioners in China. They hoped that more people can help practitioners to bring an end to the persecution.

Joseph said, “Practicing Falun Dafa can heal diseases, and improve health. The cultivation also improves one’s moral character. Dafa is truly good. We will encourage more of our colleagues to learn it.”

Carl will introduce Falun Dafa to his younger sister.

After walking through the bustling bus station, practitioners arrived at the city square in front of the old South African parliament building. They met Carl who was coming towards them. Carl worked for a company in Cape Town. He said, “It’s great that I heard about Falun Dafa. I will ask my sister to come so we can learn it together.”

Guell, the owner of a jewelry store on a busy commercial street in Cape Town, heard about the April 25 appeal for the first time. He wished practitioners good luck because Falun Dafa brings people righteous belief, and he also hoped that more people would help bring an end to the CCP’s persecution.
