(Minghui.org) As Shen Yun’s eight companies are touring the world, audience members often speak well of not only the performance’s artistry, but also its energy and spirituality. Many stop at the Falun Gong booth in the theater lobby to purchase books and learn more about the practice.
During Shen Yun New Era Company’s performances at the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga, Canada, March 21–25, a number of audience members stopped by the Falun Dafa booth to purchase books and learn more.
“This Practice Is Very Appealing”

Georgia King, a creative director and graphic designer, and her husband Cliff King, a retired Air Force Captain, saw Shen Yun in Portland on April 1. They purchased Falun Gong books after seeing the performance.
Georgia spoke about the backdrop design, “I think it’s really cool and innovative that the characters can jump into the backdrop and then enter the world presented by the backdrop. I like this design very much.”
Cliff agreed, “I think it’s amazing too. It’s really wonderful. They are truly extraordinary. Their talent is breathtaking, and it’s such an exhilarating experience to watch them perform.”
Georgia also spoke about the dance drama portraying the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) ongoing persecution and forced organ harvesting in China “The persecution is very concerning. The philosophy of Falun Dafa is very appealing, and I also bought some related books, hoping to learn more about their thoughts and ideas. One of the books also includes a part on teaching the exercises, which made us very interested... This practice [Falun Dafa] is very appealing and I want to study it further and understand other people’s views on the world,” she said.
“It’s very important to me that there are still people who are committed to preserving ancient traditions. This was one of the reasons why I got interested in this in the first place. As a martial arts enthusiast, we are to some extent striving for the same goal,” she said.
Georgia also said, “As a Christian, I found some of the content presented on stage to have many thought-provoking similarities to our faith. ‘The Creator has come’, which undoubtedly has similar themes to some of the revelations in the Bible.”
“Everything About the Show Was Impressive”

Darren Smith, the financial director of a company, and his family saw Shen Yun in Cheyenne on March 26. This was not their first time seeing Shen Yun. They were in line to purchase Falun Gong books during the intermission.
“Everything about the show was impressive. It was very beautiful. I think especially (the program) about Falun Gong, most people don’t realize what’s going on,” Mr. Smith said.
Mr. Smith said that this time, his whole family came to watch the show. His father had already bought Falun Gong literature, and he himself was also very interested in Falun Gong. He realized that Shen Yun exposed the CCP’s persecution of practitioners in China, and that this persecution has also extended to the United States. “The CCP created problems (in the United States), and I knew it was them who did it.”
“Full of Poetry”

Yves Gaté, the former director of the Nantes city greening department, and his wife Annie, the former project manager of the city planning department, saw Shen Yun in Nantes, France, on February 18. They purchased Falun Gong literature after seeing the performance.
“This is a beautiful evening,” said Yves.
Annie said, “The performance was very beautiful. The dancers were very skilled. It takes very rigorous training to reach this level. The costumes, the dance movements and the overall artistic atmosphere were full of poetry.”
“The music was beautiful… The lyrics were profound and offered a different perspective,” Yves said.
“Absolutely Magnificent”

Olivier Lapierre, logistics supervisor at Airbus, saw Shen Yun in Toulouse, France, on January 12.
“Shen Yun was absolutely magnificent. I loved each of the programs; they were so refined and expressive and kept us entertained. Shen Yun was absolutely wonderful from every aspect. We had a wonderful afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed it,” he said.
“We bought books about it [Falun Dafa]. That’s the aspect I was talking about. I had heard about it [Falun Dafa] before, but I didn’t pay much attention to it. Shen Yun definitely gave me a new perspective on the subject. I’m going to learn more about it. I think it's pretty amazing,” he said.
“Very Strong Positive Energy”

Cam Capizola, an immigration consultant, and Peter Carreiro saw Shen Yun in Mississauga, Canada, on March 21. They purchased a copy of Zhuan Falun after seeing the performance.
“Very beautiful. Excellent, great. We’ve never seen such a great performance,” Cam said.
“This is a performance like no other. Absolutely extraordinary, wonderful, and beyond my imagination… The performance combined drama arts, energy, divinity... I felt very strong positive energy, absolutely,” she said.
Cam is very interested in Chinese culture. One year ago, she met Falun Gong practitioners in another place. This time, she heard about Falun Gong again while watching Shen Yun and was pleasantly surprised. So she decided to read Zhuan Falun.
Peter said, “Felt very strong energy… Even after you leave the theater, you can still feel the lingering sound, the dazzling colors, the wonderful performances, the dance, the music, the lights... Everything is really great… This is a must-see show in a lifetime.”
“Source of Enlightenment”
Bob Krause, his wife, and his parents (The Epoch Times)
Bob Krause, founder of a chain company, saw Shen Yun with his wife and parents in Escondido, California, on March 18. Krause’s mother purchased Falun Gong literature after seeing the performance.
“It was amazing! It was a fantastic show... This is a source of enlightenment,” Mr. Krause said.
He spoke about the parts about Falun Dafa. “It’s quite interesting that a lot of it is similar to my own faith... No matter who you are, whether it’s enlightenment or heaven, it’s essentially talking about the home in heaven. These words are also used in my faith, so it feels very familiar to me. I think it’s really remarkable. I’m surprised and glad that it [the performance] contains different layers.” He said that he would like to learn more about Falun Dafa in the future.
His mother DeLoris purchased Falun Dafa’s literature. She said about the performance, “Very inspiring. Shows kindness, and care between people.”
“This Practice Is Very Powerful”

Mina H, a veterinary science postdoctoral fellow, saw Shen Yun in Mississauga on March 22. She purchased a copy of Zhuan Falun after the performance.
“The show combined Chinese history, culture, music, dance, and art in a very short period of time. It also showed the harm the Communist Party has done to the people. Everything was perfect, extraordinary, and amazing,” she said.
The piece portraying the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong was the main reason that she purchased the book and decided to learn Falun Gong. “The performance used a very beautiful way to present a very profound story, especially showing the true face of the Chinese Communist Party. This part was very powerful... They are very bad, with bad thoughts, bad ideas, and bad methods. They have hurt a lot of people,” she said.
“At that moment, they [Falun Gong practitioners] were strong and unyielding, and had no fear. That book [Zhuan Falun] was their guide; their strength came from that book; and their struggle was for that book. This practice is very powerful,” she said.
“Now It’s Inspiring an Entire World to Do Things”

Robert Adams, the regional maintenance director of Southern Healthcare Management, saw Shen Yun in St. Petersburg, Florida, on January 18. He also purchased a Falun Gong book after the performance.
“They were very poetic the way they were actually dancing, really showing us the stories. You could actually feel what they were trying to inspire upon us again. It was something, it’s something everyone should come out and take a look at and see it for themselves,” he said.
“I think it’s quite brave of them to continue to do this. I mean, the Chinese Communist Party is not someone to laugh at,” added Mr. Adams. “So to come out here and really show as much feeling that they were doing in their performance, it shows that they really matter. This matters to them, that this really means something to them, which is great, and now it’s inspiring an entire world to do things. Like me, I want to go read this book and learn everything I can about the situation.”
